For Constipation "Been having really bad pain in my lower right belly and backed up for 3 days and throwing up. Couldn't keep food down. I was really bloated and constipated and in a lot of pain. Tried the Milk of Magnesia and it worked in an hour, but then I have been up with really bad diarrhea non-stop and cramps. I took the lowest dose."

For Constipation "I've had issues with constipation since October 2015. The doctor had me on Miralax daily until I got into the gastroenterologist in April. He gave me samples of Amitiza and told me to try it on the weekend. It was horrible cramps, gas, and bloating. So I went back to Miralax. Then my regular doctor suggested Milk of Magnesia. I took some before I went to bed last night, 7/4/16. I was awakened at 4:30 a.m. with pain worse than labor pains. I filled the toilet bowl with what looked like snack pack chocolate pudding. Terrible gas pains, stomach just knotting up and turning. I have my colonoscopy scheduled for 7/8/16. I hope the prep they gave me doesn't have the same effect on me. My stomach is still messed up 24 hours later."

For Constipation "I have been backed up for 3 days, and I am miserable. Took MoM yesterday, and nothing. Horrible cramping and lots of gurgling in my belly. Called off sick 2 days and am getting ready to take a second dose. Have no appetite at all. I pray this works..."

For Constipation "I have constipation most of my life just due to slow metabolism and some meds. This is the only stuff that I will take right now. Stimulants can cause cramps, and others do not even work. My advice is to start with the lowest dose at first and see how you react up to 8 hrs. Then increase slowly! It essentially will give you a watery bowel motion several times. If too watery, you can end up having an accident. Don’t use this and go to work or anything important! Good luck!"

For Constipation "After surgery two weeks ago and consuming nothing but water and fiber-type foods. I, for some reason, got constipated. I took MoM at 8 pm. And at 2 am, like clockwork, I was getting crazy cramps and could hear the bowel in motion. And bam, I had to go. But then at 3 am and 4 am again. Then at 7 am. Either I'm that backed up or it's working too well."

For Constipation "Beware if you are on pain medicine. Sometimes it doesn't always work. After suffering from constipation, sorry if this is TMI, by the way. I took 3 tbsp of MOM. Nothing happened, the second day I took 4 tbsp, and that night suffered severe cramping. I also had a little stool come out with blood. Needless to say, I went to the ER as the pain grew, and I couldn't go. I waited 4 hours, mind you, I live in Canada. And there was a poor little girl who stopped breathing. I ended up leaving and purchasing an enema kit and also Dulcolax suppositories just in case. I got home, and within 5 minutes, I had relief. Moral of the story: IF ON PAIN MEDS, HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!"

"Got the MOM because with the quarantine going on, I've been eating a lot! Needed a real ease... Took MOM last night at 10 with a bottle of water. Woke up about 9-ish in the morning to use the bathroom twice, no cramps, but I’m not sure if I should go out now, lol!"

For Constipation "I’ve been taking MOM for years. I try to keep to twice a week or less. I have pelvic floor dysfunction. I take Citrucel and eat high-fiber foods. Sometimes the constipation catches up with me. I have to take MOM for relief. I take a full dose, but sometimes I have to add 30 ml hours later to work, but it does the job. I drink a couple of cups of water with it. I do experience nausea and sometimes cramps, but it’s better than being plugged up. I recommend it."

For Constipation "I had an abdominal hysterectomy and was on Norco for several days, as well as other pain meds intravenously, which had me severely bloated, in pain from gas, and constipated. I was given stool softeners that didn’t work. My friend suggested MoM. I took the full dose, and it worked! Now, 3 weeks post-op, I’ve taken it once or twice when things don’t flow after a couple of days, and it gets everything moving again without cramps. I highly recommend."

For Constipation "I've had chronic constipation all my life, and Miralax wasn't cutting it for me anymore. Nothing else was working either (magnesium citrate, enema, double the Miralax, senna tea kind of worked, though), and I was bloated on and off for two months. I finally decided to go to the store and buy a bottle of Dulcolax liquid (magnesium hydroxide) to see if it would get things moving better. Oh boy! Hard stool shot out first, and then came the liquid, nonstop. I was on the toilet for almost 2 hours, making sure it was done. I'm not even sure if it's done yet at this point, but I'm hoping so. Didn't cause me much cramps, just gave me the intense urge to go 2 hours after taking it. This is definitely going to be something I'm keeping in my medicine cabinet for times like these."

"The best relief without cramps. Drink a full glass of water (room temp), and it will have you flowing like a river. I used it to clean out my system and lost 7 pounds in a week... but it’s best you time it around having access to a bathroom."

For Indigestion "I had been feeling a little unwell with stomach aches and cramps, as well as nausea, for a few days, and a friend suggested this medicine. About two hours after taking it, things started to happen, and I had the urge to go to the toilet. Sadly, I had been offered a beer by a mate and totally forgot I'd taken this medicine. What ensued were pretty bad cramps and some hard moments on the toilet. But ultimately, all the bad stuff came out, and the relief was fantastic. Just don't take it and then have fizzy or alcoholic drinks."

For Constipation "I took Milk of Magnesia at around 10 p.m. after being constipated for about four days. I drank half the bottle. At four o'clock in the morning, I woke up to terrible cramps. I sat in the bathroom for almost thirty minutes until I got a solid stool. Then I spent the next four to five hours dealing with violent diarrhea."

For Constipation "I was constipated for six days, and I had to take the max dose for three days for it to work. Plus 3 Colace a day. It was definitely not 'overnight relief,' but was cramp-free."

For Constipation "I would never use this again. It says no cramping. I got horrible cramps and diarrhea and burning in my rectum. Terrible experience."

For Constipation "I am 12 weeks pregnant and have not been able to for over a week. Needless to say, the bloating and cramping was insanity, and my stomach felt rock hard. I took 2 tbsp of MoM the first time, and it didn't do anything. So the next day, before I went to bed, I took 3, and I woke up and finally had relief! It did come in the form of basically just straight water, which was unpleasant. But I don't hurt anymore!"
