"I took this as part of a colonoscopy prep. One bottle of mag citrate at about 7 pm, and by 8 pm, it started to work. No issues with it. It does what it should. Once you start to gurgle, stay near a bathroom. Everyone's experience will be different. I was able to get some sleep in between bathroom breaks. No major issues with bloating or cramping. It still was working the next day, just not quite as extreme. The next part of the prep will be the PEG 3500. Hopefully, that will go just as smoothly."

For Constipation "After a week of straining to pass a bowel movement and only pooping small amounts, I decided to try MC. After reading reviews, I decided to drink 5.5 oz of the bottle. It made me nauseous after drinking it, but it went away after 20 mins. I had my first movement after an hour, and it was very relieving. About every 30 mins, I would have to go again. I pooped about a total of 5 times, with the amount getting smaller each time. I was afraid it would mess up my stomach, but I only had slight cramping before having a movement. I think it worked very well for my constipation."

For Constipation "I've been constipated for the last week after trying to add psyllium husk to offset keto diarrhea and ended up giving myself the Uno reverse card. I felt pretty miserable and could feel 'stuff' moving around, but I couldn't get anything out. I went a tiny amount every couple of days, but the cramping was getting worse, so I did some research and found this stuff. It took 2-3 hours to start working. I chugged an entire $1 bottle of the grape stuff (tasted like grape cough syrup with salt) I found at Walmart. I drank 3 bottled waters during that time trying to make sure I had enough. Finally, it hit me. I haven't had any cramping from this, but the butt pee was real, and I do feel much better. So far, now 4.5 hours in, it seems to have slowed down (the bathroom trips), but I still feel some gurgling, so I'm guessing I might be in for more 'fun' later. P.S. one thing I haven't seen anyone mention - try a heating pad lying on your stomach, it seems to make me feel better anyway during the gurgling."

For Constipation "So I’m prepping for a surgery where they told me to take an over-the-counter medication to do a cleanse. This magnesium citrate works wonders. I only took half the bottle, which is 5 ounces. But you do need to be very close to a restroom and make sure you have your phone charged up or a magazine to read because you will be there for a while. I took mine around 2:30 pm. But I will say the more water you drink, the more you’ll go. It is now almost 10 pm, and it has made me go about 7 or 8 times. No cramps for me, but please don’t fart because you will get a surprise! Lol. Hope this helps."

For Constipation "Sept 29, 2021. Well, I drank the whole bottle in preparation for a barium enema. I have a colostomy, so the barium will be inserted through my stoma and my behind. For the love of God! The test is being done to see if the doctor can reconnect my colon, and I can get rid of the BAG! No cramping and no burning, many trips to the bathroom to empty the bag. It works!"

For Constipation "I was constipated for 5 days and took a 10-ounce bottle of the lemon-flavored magnesium citrate around 4 pm with a lot of water. I had pretty horrific cramping for the rest of the evening and woke up at 4 am with no relief. I took another half-bottle of magnesium citrate with more water and finally was able to clear out the pipes. Sipping some Gatorade between sprints to the bathroom seems to help make me feel less woozy. Also, I applied chilled witch hazel to ease the burning sensation. I am grateful I did not have to go to the ER."

"Took this magnesium citrate at 5 pm yesterday as directed for my hemorrhoid PPH surgery prep. It finally started working at 1:45 am. I was nervous it wasn’t going to work, and I would have to cancel my surgery. I’m a fairly regular person, so I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. It’s not bad, though. No cramping or nausea. The urge does come on really quick, though. Luckily, I was awake."
