Lenvatinib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "I was a caretaker of my amazing father who took Lenvima with Keytruda for treatment. Between those two drugs, internally my father had internal bleeding that caused him severe pain, and ultimately he was bleeding out and became unable to talk due to having multiple mini-strokes. Please, if you have a loved one starting these, be very cautious and on alert. If they stop eating altogether and say they are in pain, make the doctor do testing for bleeding internally. My father vomited blood all over the night he passed away, he had nothing but blood in his stomach. He was a great father and a great man. Best of luck to each and every one fighting this horrible battle."

Lenvatinib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "I used this and everolimus as my first line of treatment. Most of my side effects they contributed to everolimus. I had a partial response while on these drugs. I had elevated BP that was easily controlled by medication. I had proteinuria that lasted the entire time. Once off these drugs, my BP and protein returned to normal. Wish the effects had lasted longer."

Lenvatinib for Thyroid Cancer "Started taking Lenvima about 36 months ago. No immediate side effect, and 6 months later, I began losing weight via nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, for a total of 102 lbs. Not sure that's the best way to do it, though. Painful right leg swelling makes it hard to get around, but a walker helps (bonus: you have an instant chair when you're waiting in slow lines!) Overall, there are many different little annoyances, but the bright side is you're still alive! Don't take it for granted!!"

Lenvatinib for Thyroid Cancer "Started Lenvima Dec 2021 for DTC - thyroid cancer brain metastasis. I had 7 removed during an 18-month period prior to starting Lenvima. I've only had 1 removed in the past 3 years. It's been 3 plus years of various doses due to side effects -- started at 24 mg, then 20 mg, 18 mg, 16 mg, 14 mg -- cancer progression and back up to 16 mg, which does control my brain lesions and now lung lesion. Unfortunately, the side effects are worse for me at this dosage - nausea and diarrhea mainly. Absolutely better than more brain lesions!!! It's been almost 6 -- YES SIX YEARS of having brain metastasis from DTC and am living an amazing life doing everything I want!!"
