For Osteoarthritis "I had a cortisone shot last October 6, 2021. I was extremely relieved because I didn't feel any pain at all the next day after the injection. I can kneel down and get up with no problems, but that only lasted for 2 weeks. Came back for a second injection, which was Jan. 12, 2022. This time it was Monovisc mixed with cortisone (he said it would be more effective if they were mixed), and so far I haven't seen any improvement or changes. I still experience a lot of pain and discomfort when I walk my dog. I seem to lose hope in Monovisc, which is highly recommended and so disappointing!"

For Osteoarthritis "I had Monovisc almost 2 weeks ago. I did not have immediate relief like with the steroid injection, but I am feeling slight improvement. I’ll update again in a few weeks, my doc said to expect maximum relief at 4 weeks."

For Osteoarthritis "My doctor indicated I could no longer get cortisone injections and suggested the Monovisc. OHIP does not cover the cost of $790. I was in so much daily pain and sleep deprivation I gave in to getting the injections in both knees. What a mistake - the first three days I had so much swelling, pain, and stiffness I couldn't even get around. It is now a month later, and I am struggling daily with the pain and stiffness. I was in better shape before the injections. My neck, back, and hip are hurting due to hobbling around. I have called my doctor and begged for cortisone for some relief. I need sleep."

For Osteoarthritis "Got the Monovisc injections in both knees in the morning. By the evening, I was in so much pain, I thought something had been botched. The swelling was incredible, and I couldn't walk without two canes. The next day, the swelling had come down a bit, and one knee felt no better than pre-injection, and the other still felt much worse. After a few days, the swelling has now come down, and both feel a bit better than pre-injection. The doctor says that it will take about two weeks for the pain to subside, then things should be stable for a while. I am looking forward to getting around without my cane!"

For Osteoarthritis "Had my injection yesterday after the numbing injection. I felt some pressure with the material going in, slightly uncomfortable but not painful. On day one, no pain sitting to stand or walking. Taking it easy, and I can only feel something minor at the entry point of the needle. There is some minor swelling, but my knee function feels so much better than before without pain. Before the treatment, I had pain standing up and walking, causing me to limp. No more limping, thank goodness for this. Now to see how long it lasts for."

For Osteoarthritis "I received 5 Monovisc injections so far, and the first one took my pain away for 3 months. With my last 2 injections, I was only pain-free for one month, I have to find something better."

For Osteoarthritis "I got a painless shot at the end of March 2018, and I had relief for about a month. Since then (June), my knee has steadily worsened... pain, stiffness, waking up at night to apply an ice pack."

For Osteoarthritis "The drug was painless, with no swelling after the first injection, but wore off in 4 months. SynviscOne lasts 6 months. I will return to that, despite pain and swelling the first day of treatment."

For Osteoarthritis "For osteoarthritis: “Amazing result for my knee first day. I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees. I received one full dose two days ago. I went to see my specialist. Treatment wasn't painful at all, just a little pressure. After 1 day of resting, all my old pain and discomfort was gone, but suddenly pain came back. I hope that pain will go away. It was nice to live without pain, at least for one day with no limping. I just hope that Monovisc will help me. I will post again in a few days to see what is going to happen. I am so tired of pain."
