Goserelin for Endometriosis "I am halfway through my Zoladex treatment, and it has been an absolute godsend for my pain. I'm not in any pain at all, which is exactly what I wanted. However, I am struggling with the side effects: hot flashes, headaches, weakness, night sweats, tiredness, and bone pain. I was struggling to get through the day before the treatment, and now I have these other problems to deal with. I am torn about how I feel about it. I would definitely recommend it though, as everyone has different levels of these symptoms; I might just be a bad case."

Goserelin for Endometriosis "Well, I have had 2 Zoladex injections. As my gynecologist said – symptoms will appear only after 4 weeks. Well, guess what – mine appeared only after the fourth day! Yep! And I have had all the symptoms. These 8 weeks have been the worst in my life. I have had: hot flashes – so bad during every night that my pillow and blanket are soaking wet, sweating, headaches, dizziness, mood changes, vaginal discharge – meaning a little bit of pee coming into my undies (sometimes not so little bit) – when I do not feel like I have to pee! Breast size reduction, bone pain, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, insomnia, acne, itching, and depression mood swings that are just so bad. Plus, my stomach has been so bloated, so gassy, so not functioning normally. The worst time in my entire life!!! I would never in a million years ever agree to this again. Better to be with endometriosis - as guess what, this does not cure it!!! So – might be all for nothing."

Goserelin for Endometriosis "I have been put on Zoladex 3.6 by my Gyno. The first few weeks, I thought it was a godsend! It stopped my endo pains and stopped my period... But then I started suffering from migraine/headaches, no sex drive, extreme bone pain, no appetite - and if I try to make myself eat, then I vomit, nausea, irregular sleeping patterns, and signs of anxiety/depression because I've been missing days off of work! I'm due for my 4th injection in two days, and the whole treatment plan I am on is for 6 months. I have never felt this sick in my whole life :( Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Can someone help me?"

Goserelin for Endometriosis "I have used Zoladex 3-month implant for 9 months, as I suffer from pulmonary endometriosis. Zoladex was the only medication that successfully stopped my periods and stopped my lungs from collapsing every cycle. Positives would be no mood swings, clear skin, and no periods, therefore, no pain. Negatives would be I gained 10 kilos, which I'm working on losing, but the weight was better than having horrific lung pain. I did have a small amount of bone pain, but this has stopped since I've been off the medication for a month. The other negative is it's only subsidized in some parts of Australia. In one state, it's $25, in the other, $1000 for three months. I hope this helps. In many ways, Zoladex has helped me live a normal life again."

Goserelin for Endometriosis "Awful! Had three and experienced constant neck, shoulder, calf, and bone pain every day. I’m still experiencing these pains one month after stopping Zoladex. I was also given HRT add-back, and it didn’t help at all. Feeling anxious, tired, constant headaches, and the pain all over is terrible. Hoping once my periods return, I will also return to feeling normal."

Goserelin for Bleeding Disorder "The Zoladex injection has been my only savior. I am now 24, I was put on the drug to initially ‘reset’ my reproductive system to see if it could stop my excessive unexplained bleeding, but once coming off Zoladex last year for 6 months, the same pattern emerged. I have now had over 20 Zoladex injections with the intention of continuing this until I have children. I have been lucky in the sense that I have regained my life in being able to participate in normal experiences without worrying about bleeding everywhere. I’ve experienced some of the side effects, including hot flushes, weight gain, headaches, and bone pain, which comes and then goes just as quickly (besides the weight, sadly). Depression is definitely something I have mildly developed since being on the drug, but the continuous bleeding was leading me down that path anyway!"

Goserelin for Bleeding Disorder "Stopped periods as expected, great news, no more heavy bleeding, stopped chronic pain that dropped me to my knees when standing or moving. Downsides are memory loss, chronic fatigue, bone pain, loss of hair, sore breasts. I'm on Zoladex 3.6 once a month with HRT injection number 4. Overall, I'm in less pain but still struggling with everyday tasks and to carry on working as a normal, healthy 36-year-old woman should. I should be able to roll on coming off this drug and having my hysterectomy."

Goserelin for Endometriosis "To be honest, this drug has helped me in such a way that I don't get admitted to the hospital anymore whenever I'm on my period due to fibroids and endometriosis. My doctor recommended Zoladex for me after my surgery for three months. I'm done with the last one, and now I feel no pain and no bleeding, just that the side effect is sometimes unbearable. Severe hot flashes, sweating, acne, hair breakage, bone pain, dizziness. Fortunately for me, I had no mood swings. In all, I don't regret using the drug, the only unfortunate thing is that it is expensive."

Goserelin for Endometriosis "Did not help with endometriosis symptoms. Had terrible side effects like bone pain, joint pain, hot flashes, mood swings, hair loss. The side effects lasted for about a year after treatment with Zoladex ended."

For Endometriosis "I have severe adenomyosis and was put on Zoladex to reduce the size of my uterus, which was causing excruciating pain, nausea, vomiting, and IBS-type symptoms. The Zoladex has completely eradicated my terrible symptoms and given me my life back. Yes, I had flushes, insomnia, and bone pain, but that has improved greatly with add-back HRT (Tibolone), except the bone pain, which is worse. However, it is a small price to pay for the many benefits. And since starting Zoladex, I have managed to lose weight for the first time in years - no diet worked before, but now I have lost 18 lbs on Weight Watchers in six weeks. I was so scared of Zoladex, but now I am delighted I tried it!"

Goserelin for Endometriosis "It works, yes... but the side effects are the worst. Insomnia, bone pain, nausea, hot flashes, and weight gain... I hate it, but it's better than endometriosis."
