For Asthma "I suffered with asthma my entire life and was intubated several times, nothing I used worked. You guys changed my life because of Dulera, my asthma is under control, and that was something I struggled with for over 30 years."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I've been using this for approx. 6 months, and my asthma has never been better. However, it causes me terrible muscle spasms all over my body, and I've gained over 10 pounds. I've tried lowering the dose and taking extra potassium and magnesium to see if it lessens the spasms, to no avail. I'm going to have to stop taking it."

For Asthma "I just quit using Dulera two days ago because I was having the quivering pain in my leg and arm. Also, I've been experiencing pain in my chest/breast area. Also, even after two days of not being on Dulera, I feel that my lungs are more open than they were on Dulera. I have switched back to using ProAir and Qvar. I wish this medication did not have so many side effects, as it did seem to control my asthma."

For Asthma "I've been on Dulera for about 14 days now. I'm sleeping better with less coughing. The side effect I'm having is the worst case of thrush. Anyone else have this issue? If so, what did you do to treat it? Did you have to get medication from the doctor?"

For Asthma, Maintenance "My child was put on Dulera, his asthma has been a struggle to control for years. After 2 weeks, he gained 8 pounds, and his chest is so congested, I had him checked for pneumonia. His asthma has been worse than ever. He has wheezing worse than ever before. It sounds like an accordion when he breathes. We had him switched to a higher dose of his last medication, and he has been using nebulizer treatments to undo whatever the Dulera did. I'm not sure how long it will take for him to bounce back from the weight gain."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Dulera is working great on my breathing and helping me cough up excess mucus, but my pain level in the parts of my body that have osteoarthritis seems to have increased. I know my blood pressure is up, so my doctor did add another blood pressure medication that's helping take care of that. I just am in pain wherever I have osteoarthritis. Has anyone else experienced this?"

For Asthma "I have had asthma since I was a kid. I was given Dulera when my insurance wouldn’t cover Advair, and I wish it did. I have been using Dulera for the past 4 weeks. The first week was fine, but these past three weeks, absolutely terrible. I have created more mucus than I have ever created, and it’s to a point where it makes me choke. I also have blood in my mucus, which I have gone to my doctors about. I have taken so many COVID tests because I have been coughing my head off and having intense tightness of chest. My blood pressure and heart rate shot through the roof, I developed a tremor. I have had more things happen to me from this one inhaler, it’s nuts."

For Asthma "I only use Dulera once a day and only one puff, but I do this every single day, usually just before I go to bed. On occasion, I will need a second puff during the day after I wake up. I occasionally get the pain in the side and lower back, but it does not last long. I have many of the side effects, but I had them long before I started using Dulera. The pain is a new one, though."

For Asthma "I recently switched from Symbicort to Dulera. My asthma is under control, but the side effects are worrisome. My blood glucose levels have risen, and I have gained 5 pounds in the two months since I've been using this medication. I will give it a few more months until I speak with my doctor about other alternatives."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Used Dulera for 6 months. It worked fantastically for my asthma. I used a spacer with it. Dulera leaves or causes 'boogies' in your nose that filter the air for you. BUT, it gave me severe migraines. I wouldn't have found out if the following hadn't happened. I was due for a refill, my insurance wanted the doctor to do another 'dance' to prove I need this, and because of the delay, I started wanting to know just how much this medication costs. I was shocked at the price. But during my shock, my eyes fell upon 3 main side effects (I make it a practice not to look at side effects unless I experience something), and headaches were one of them. Shazam!! So THAT was why I'd been having debilitating migraines all summer."

For Asthma "Took Dulera for a year for pretty bad asthma, which it controlled very nicely. After one year, the Dulera started giving me awful palpitations, severe pounding pulse, shakiness, and insomnia. I had to give it up. I feel better now after 3 weeks without it, but still cannot find a good replacement."

For Asthma "Took this 2x and developed wheezing, coughing, and flu-like symptoms with a fever. Had to use a rescue inhaler just to get my lungs open. Will not be using again, definitely not worth the side effects."

For Asthma "I have been using this for almost 3 years. Better control of symptoms - I can usually use 1 puff 2 times a day except when I get a bug, then I need the prescribed 2, 2 times a day. However, the last 2-3 weeks I have had a very medicine-tasting phlegm/exhaled air."

For Asthma "After an asthma attack a month ago, a doctor at urgent care prescribed me this. A week later, I saw my allergist, who told me to stop Dulera. She put me on Singulair. I was not able to pick up my prescription, so I continued using Dulera. The first week of using it, I could breathe a lot better, however, now, after a month of use, my body has experienced chest tightness, lung twitching, and heart palpitations. My body feels off. I don’t like the chest tightness and weird heart palpitations. I will be discontinuing this until I get my other asthma medication."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I've had asthma ever since I quit smoking. I've quit twice, and each time after 3 years, the asthma kicks in - bad! I've tried everything and am now on Dulera, which helped tremendously. My insurance wouldn't cover it; $375 for one inhaler. Found PAN online, and they are taking care of the cost. If not for PAN, I would not be able to take Dulera. However, after several months on this med, my teeth started rotting - very quickly. My dentist said he only sees this kind of deterioration in chemo patients and someone who hasn't brushed in 20 years. I've had two teeth pulled already, and another is scheduled to be pulled. Also, I started with thrush a day ago, and today I can barely move my tongue. (Yes, I've been rinsing.)"

For Asthma "I was prescribed Dulera as an alternative to Advair when my insurance stopped covering it. I was skeptical at first, having a positive response from Advair. After 2 weeks of taking Dulera, not only did my asthma symptoms worsen, but I started experiencing other horrible symptoms, including chest tightness, heart palpitations, severe headache, nervousness, fogginess, and fatigue. I also developed excruciating abdominal pain that radiated from front to back, similar to severe period cramping, but deeper and throbbed. I immediately stopped taking Dulera, but this cramping pain never went away. I eventually went to several specialists, including an OBGYN, who could only conclude that I had a dormant/mild form of endometriosis that was exacerbated by Dulera. Years later, I still suffer from this pain, with no cure or remedy - I can only hope to find others with a similar story so we can file a class action suit against them. This medicine is dangerous."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I was forced to use Dulera after getting a new job, and Advair went from $0 to $160 a month. I have been on Dulera for about a month total, what I can tell you is I hate the side effects of it. I have spasms in my pecs and calves, which always seem to be noticed about 30 minutes to an hour after I use the inhaler. Shaking in my hands and the occasional blurred vision. I wish I could go back to Advair, but insurance won’t budge, and I can’t afford it. I find it easier to use my rescue inhalers than keep taking Dulera."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Dulera helped my asthma disappear - it was amazing! Now the effects: I feel like I can barely think, my vision is blurry, I gained about 7 pounds, always hungry, moody, and excessively tired. I’d rather not breathe!"

For Asthma, Maintenance "Horrible med, all it has done was caused me to pack on weight, cause high blood pressure and more asthma issues than I ever had before I was put on it. I am seriously going to talk to my doctor about it (I have been on it for 5-6 yrs) to see if I can get on something else so I can go back to exercising to lose the weight it packed on. If the doctor won't, I guess it's time for a new doctor and gradually wean myself off of Dulera, period."

For Asthma "I have severe asthma and my heart stopped on Father’s Day this year from having an asthma attack. It’s the second time I’ve gone into cardiac arrest from an attack and waking up the next day on life support. Since June, I’ve been on Dulera, taking 2 puffs twice a day, and it has helped tremendously. I can breathe!! I’ve gone from constantly short of breath, waking up in the middle of the night in attacks, it was awful. The only thing that’s scaring me, though, is I’m gaining weight. I’ve put on about 10-15 pounds since June. Without changing my diet, I’ve noticed I feel hungry a lot. I’ve always had a little weight on me, but I don’t want to get to that point where I’m depressed about my weight. I already get that way as it is. I’m just on the fence about what I should do."

For Asthma, Maintenance "This medication has worked the best for me so far in terms of daily activities and sleeping decently at night. I have tried Symbicort also - it worked better for asthma but kept me wide awake at night. In the beginning of this medication, I did have throat narrowing and nasal congestion, and I later found out that was because of me living in a mostly colder place (Chicago). I always try to wear a scarf now outdoors in the cold, and throat narrowing and nasal congestion are much more controlled now. I take 100 mcg/5mcg once every 2 days early in the morning (due to my sleep disorder) for maintenance, and it works great!"

For Asthma, Maintenance "I have struggled with my asthma for 28 years now. I tried many drugs and combinations of drugs to get it under control, but would still always need an inhaler or nebulizer treatment. Then my asthma specialist tried Dulera in combination with Singulair (was already taking it). And for the first time in any memory I have, I could breathe easy, no tightness, no little obstruction or wheeze here and there. I could run, I could practically fly up the stairs. Finally, my body could keep up with me. As far as side effects, I didn't really experience any in my time of using it."

For Asthma "I've had asthma my entire life to the point I would pass out from being unable to breathe, and many times felt I'd never make it to the hospital. Dulera is the first med in 50 years to completely free me from this condition. I've been attack-free for 2 years. Now the pharmacist tells me it's been discontinued. Please tell me that's not true."

For Asthma "I've been on Dulera for the past year or more. It helped significantly. However, I've used up the coupon where it only costs $15, and now it is $405, and I can no longer afford it. After reading that others have had shaky hands, heart palpitations, and weight gain, I'm realizing that I have those issues too, and it might be the Dulera. I guess I'll find out since I'm not taking it anymore. :("

For Asthma, Maintenance "After 8 months of taking Dulera, it suddenly hit me that I was very sensitive to dust, harsh cleaning products, secondhand smoke, and strong perfumes. After much thought, I talked to my doctor about this suspicion that Dulera was causing this. She said go ahead and stop using it. Dulera did work for preventing daily asthma, however, I think it also prevents the lungs (and yourself) from actually dealing with asthma attacks when they do come. I'm nearing my second week off Dulera, and I'm finding out that I need to re-learn how to effectively calm myself down when some mild asthma is coming. Dulera worked pretty well for me for several months until I was confronted head-on with new triggers that previously did not affect me before Dulera."
