Fluvoxamine for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder "After a few other medications failed to help, I tried Luvox for 13 weeks. It immediately made me nauseous, and the effect was constant-not just when I took the dose. I also had no improvement in my PTSD symptoms. Eventually, I gave up and had to try another drug."

For Anxiety and Stress "My doctor put me on this medication because she was unwilling to give me Xanax or any medication in its category for my anxiety. Five days ago, I started taking this medication at 50 mg at night. The second day, I noticed a numb feeling in my mouth and trouble falling asleep. On the third day, I noticed an unwillingness to get off my recliner. I didn't want to do anything. By the fourth day, I was having cold sweats and throwing up! So sick to my stomach, which made me more depressed. No thanks! I threw it in the garbage and called the pharmacy to refill my Lexapro."

For Depression "It's been a week up until now since I'm on fluvoxamine (Fevarin). I already have tried it twice a few years ago, but the side effects were too overwhelming to continue. I had flu-like symptoms. Lately, I was extremely depressed and had recurrent negative thoughts, including suicidal ideas. Some days I impulsively came up with the idea to give Fevarin one more try. I stopped using drugs, along with cigarettes. My thoughts are harassing me significantly less during the day, and during the night when I wake up at 4 a.m. (side effect), they are more friendly. Initially, I felt a little weak, but I feel that it's passing and even makes me slightly agitated, so proportionally, the depression is decreasing. The nausea is also present, however, to the extent that I can eat normally. Unlike others, I noticed a huge improvement in sex drive, but I struggle with ejaculation. My anxiety also mildly declines."

For Anxiety and Stress "Tried it for 3 weeks after citalopram. I liked citalopram a lot, but had some unwanted side effects. Unfortunately, fluvoxamine has much worse side effects for me. Nausea/vertigo all day to the point where I'm ineffective at anything. I'm stopping fluvoxamine and going back to citalopram."

For Anxiety and Stress "This didn’t work for me. I’ve been on it for almost 2 months after being on mirtazapine for months. I feel exactly how I felt before taking any medicine. My anxiety is nonstop even when I’m sleeping. I’m back to having derealization again, and I’m constantly tired and unmotivated and a little paranoid because of my severe anxiety. But medicine works differently for everyone, so give it a chance. :) The only crappy side effect in the beginning is being nauseous and having no appetite, but it eventually goes away!!"

Fluvoxamine for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder "Helps a lot with obsessive thoughts, and has caused a slight uplift in mood and some relief from general anxiety symptoms and sensory sensitivity. Fatigue is a big issue, as are GI symptoms: stomach cramps, incomplete bowel movements, gassiness, nausea. Causes very vivid dreams/nightmares and interrupts sleep. Had issues with blurred vision when increasing dosage. No brain zaps, but I definitely have developed involuntary muscle twitches, mostly in my legs. Seems to be worsening dissociative episodes. I am still at a low dose (75mg), and actively in therapy."

For Obsessive Compulsive Disorder "I've been taking it for 2 weeks now, and it's not helpful. I got some side effects like insane memory problems and nausea from time to time. It still hasn't stopped me from washing my hands 8 times or even my impulsive thoughts."
