"It's great. Still in the diagnosis stage, but I think I have COPD/asthma. I used to smoke, but my biggest problem is pets, I think. My doctor started me on a Breo sample, and I haven't had a coughing attack or had to use rescue at all since I started. No side effects. Still early, but I'm excited about breathing normally. Amazing what we take for granted sometimes."

"I was diagnosed with mild persistent asthma. I had been using Asmanex and Singulair, but neither stopped my coughing or wheezing. My allergist wanted to begin Nucala injections since I also have elevated eosinophils, but I was afraid of potential carcinogenicity. I went to a pulmonologist who told me I was not a candidate for Nucala and prescribed Breo 3 weeks ago. The results have been tremendous, no coughing or wheezing like I had been experiencing for the last 7 months despite taking the other meds. No other side effects that I can tell so far. I highly recommend Breo."

"Perhaps I’m one of the fortunate ones that has had my life changed. It is expensive, like way too expensive, even with my top-of-the-line medical coverage supplied by the hospital where I work. There is no way that any medicine should cost this much. It has been almost like a rebirth as to how much difference it makes in my day-to-day. I have no side effects of any or those I’ve read so far. I have learned a few things to make the delivery of this med easier and more effective because the delivery method is not ideal. I take 5 or 6 slow, easy breaths, as hard as that can be to do sometimes, with my mouth open, to dry my airway. The less moisture, the better the powder will be delivered. Exhale all the air out that you can, pinch your nose, inhale steady and full. Hold as long as you can. Then, only exhale partially and inhale to max, repeat a few times. The med lasts about 12-14 hours, not 24 or whatever they say. Peace."

"Tried this and thought it was a wonder drug. At first. Caused weird issues, hard to clear my throat. Have learned this has also caused increased blood sugar and elevated blood pressure. I keep it on hand to use for emergency/serious situations. But like clockwork, up goes the blood pressure. Side effects last about 5 days."

"I was recently diagnosed with asthma after I started having shortness of breath and difficulty catching my breath. I had had these symptoms twice previously in 53 years. They started to go away after a couple of months. I started taking Breo Ellipta five days ago. At first, it caused rapid heartbeat that was very uncomfortable. The doctor said this was probably temporary. After that, I started having pain and tightness in my chest, especially when I raise my hands above my head. Last night, I had trouble sleeping, even with generic Xanax (Alprazolam). I've been able to breathe better, but I'm not sure the side effects are worth it."

"A doctor prescribed me this for allergy asthma, and after a few months on it, I noticed weight gain in my midsection. The doctor told me Breo doesn’t cause weight gain. Breo worked well for me, but I can’t take it 6 days in a row. Causes me to have paranoia, anxiety, feeling depressed, always hungry, severe pain behind my eyeballs, increased heart rate, high blood pressure, feeling so bloated, and terrible sinus problems. I did more research, and sure enough, a lot of other people had similar issues. I never had an issue with high blood pressure until Breo. Also, I work out and eat healthy, but continued to gain weight in my midsection and face. Discontinued the medicine."

"Started Breo Ellipta a week ago. I’ve had severe asthma, felt like I was always out of breath, used so many different preventers and changed inhalers, nothing helped. I have not used my reliever inhaler for one solid week since I started Breo. I can hardly believe it’s true... I used to panic looking for my reliever inhaler if it was out of my sight. I’m grateful and watchful. Right now, I feel like I received a miracle."

"Been using Breo for a month, and it's working like a treat. I have cut down on the blue puffer by 50%, which is great, I don't get a huge lecture from the pharmacist for using my blue puffer frequently, which is good."

"I had pneumonia. The doctor told me I had post-infection asthma. She prescribed prednisone for five days. And when I finished the prednisone, I was instructed by her to take Breo once in the morning. Both work very well. But on my fifth day of taking Breo, my leg had itchy spots. In the late afternoon, my torso was covered in a bright red rash. I was unable to get a doctor appointment this afternoon. It is Friday. They probably left early."

"Tried Breo for the first time a few months ago to treat my asthma and COPD. I'm pretty young at 33 and having to deal with 2 respiratory issues. Previously on Symbicort inhaler and have been for the past 13 odd years. Breo worked well initially. But then I had an attack and reached for my rescue. Being a young professional raising 2 kids on my own, I do tend to forget taking my preventer. Liked the idea of once a day and worked well when I remembered to take it. However, it got to the point where I was having more attacks than ever before. I was put back onto Symbicort inhaler. I can take it when I have an attack, and it works faster than my rescue in my opinion. Doc reckons there's a built-in redundancy for my forgetfulness."

"This has helped me tremendously. The first couple of weeks on it, I felt I was coughing just as much and at times more after taking it. That began to slowly stop. I now feel much better. Coughing is cut in half from my usual. I do not have side effects from the inhaler. I do notice that I have to really rinse my mouth after to prevent thrush. But that is stated in the leaflet provided."

"I have been using Breo for over a year. I had severe asthma as a child that subsided as a teen and returned when I started smoking at 18. Trust me, I know how silly that was. I have carried a rescue inhaler for 25 years, and at this time last year, I was smoking a pack a day. I couldn't run across the yard with my daughter without using my inhaler! Today, I can run 5 miles without even glancing at my rescue. Please talk to your doctor because Breo has been a life changer for me. Even while I was still smoking, it helped so, so much."

"Years ago, my doctor gave me a sample and a coupon for Breo Ellipta. From the first day, I could breathe well, back to running five miles without stopping to catch my breath. My insurance will not cover this drug, so I was grateful for the coupon. Unfortunately, earlier this year, the coupon was discontinued. I am now using Wixela - a generic that requires two puffs a day and still doesn't work."

"This is a short-term review - been on it for 3 days now and already feel much better than when I was on either Symbicort or Dulera. Not touching my rescue inhaler. My head feels a bit clearer, and I have a touch more energy. Bonus: take it only once per day, and there is no horrible aftertaste as with some others. :) I want to go back to the Advair to compare. It used to control my asthma perfectly, but my insurance had forced me off that years back."

"I started using Breo Ellipta a week ago. Since then, I have developed terrible insomnia and occasional headaches. But even worse is the leg cramping, burning, and pain in my calves and thighs. I took my last dose yesterday morning and am praying the side effects end soon. I wouldn’t recommend this medication to anyone, and I’m a former nurse."

"Been on Breo for 4 years, and it's the greatest inhaler I've ever had. No side effects from this for me at all. I've had severe asthma since age 3. I am 45 years old now. I've been airlifted near death to Pittsburgh Hospital 3 times. Nothing has come close to helping as much as Breo. It literally works in 30 seconds. I am so thankful for this medication. I use it one time a day, and it's a miracle drug."

"I can’t believe all of these bad reviews. I’ve been on Breo 200 for almost a year for my moderate asthma, since I had trouble controlling it after a bout of double pneumonia last year when I thought I was going to have my life end from an asthma attack. My asthma has never been so incredibly well-controlled, and I have no side effects except, unfortunately, 15 pounds of extra weight. I still sleep like a baby, and my anxiety is about as much as it always has been. Don’t be scared-try it for yourself and then make your own decision with your doctor!"

"I have used rescue puffers, but they didn't work well for me. I started using Breo two years ago and love it. It's a miracle for me. One inhale can last me several days. I sleep well and can do activities I could not before. I've experienced no side effects that I notice."

"Started Breo Ellipta 200/25, and my symptoms were so much worse for about a week. Then it began to help. I had this weird headache every day, which was annoying. But after taking it for 2 months, I just suddenly, out of the blue, my symptoms came back (lung pain radiating into back, difficulty breathing, feeling like I'm getting enough air, but not enough oxygen). I do like that you only have to use this once a day!"

"I was breathing fine before surgery, and I thought they prescribed Breo to help with recovery. I started having coughing and a very productive amount of mucus. I had tightness in my lungs. Could not do my exercise program. I went to my lung doctor, and he ordered a CAT scan to see if my cancer indeed had progressed. No, the CAT scan said I was fine as far as cancer. Problems were persistent, and I virtually have been a homebody, thinking that I was going to die. I just happened to stumble upon the side effects of the medication that was supposed to help me. I can’t believe this is even allowed to be on the market. I do believe that big pharma is only about money, and they don’t even care about what they are doing to people."

"100% successful in treating my asthma, which was originally misdiagnosed as COPD. Chronic cough and respiratory infections have disappeared with the daily use of Breo. I have not had to use a rescue inhaler in over four years and have had no flare-ups of any kind. Very easy to use and no side effects."

"Started using Breo for asthma three years ago. It controlled my asthma without the need for my rescue inhalers. I noticed that I could not use my contacts anymore and my eyes were dry. I developed cataracts! Also, I had anxiety and insomnia. Then I developed adrenal fatigue. I stopped taking it."

"I started taking Breo, and it worked fine. After a day or two, my voice started getting hoarse and raspy. Then I started getting cramps with bloating and diarrhea for the next week. I have been off of it for two days, and it seems to be getting better. It's too bad that it works, but the side effects are not worth it."

"I had Covid in April 2022. Fairly minor case. It resolved, but I had bronchitis every month since. Was either given medication or a cortisone injection, and the bronchitis would resolve but come back 2 weeks later. Doctor tested me for asthma, and I tested positive. He said Covid evidently weakened my lungs. He prescribed the Breo inhaler. I used it six weeks, and it completely resolved the bronchitis. I have no cough at all now, however, my vision is very blurry. I have a pending cataract surgery, so I went back to my doctor today and advised him of the blurry vision. He said the steroids in Breo can definitely cause that. He advised me to delay the cataract surgery for 1-2 months and stop Breo, so that the vision tests will be accurate and not based on the blurriness from Breo. Hate that happened because Breo completely resolved my bronchitis/asthma. Guess we’ll start over with a different med when/if my symptoms return."

"Breo has been nothing short of amazing. I have severe dog and cat allergies. It primarily affected my breathing. Not just when I was around them, but for at least a week after every exposure. This made my relationship with my dog-loving in-laws strained. Simply because I had to leave within an hour of a visit and take their daughter with me. In comes Breo. I saw the ad on TV for a free trial, asked the doctor, he said my insurance didn't cover it, told him about the coupon, he approved. Deep breathing. DEEP BREATHING! I SLEPT AT MY IN-LAWS' HOME FOR 3 DAYS. NO PROBLEM!!!! CON: you really have to wash your mouth out thoroughly after every use. I've had more canker sores/popped pimples in there than ever. Worth it."
