Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I am having a terrible experience with this medication. I have been taking Trelegy 100 for two weeks now and I just realized today this medication is what is causing my issues - heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, pain in my arms /hands and legs/feet - almost feels like nerve pain, it's hard to describe. My body is making involuntary movements, almost like twitching. I've been feeling so tired, pretty sure I've gained weight too. This medication is terrible and is not for me. I'd warn everyone to be careful...I've never had a reaction to medication this way before."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "Lifelong asthmatic here. Been using albuterol inhalers since I can remember multiple times per day. Advair for 20+ years. Tried injections and too many other meds to list. Just this week my doctor gave me sample of Trelegy...it's like magic so far, made my Ventolin disappear since I have not reached for it in 5 days. Have not had side effects, hope this continues...."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "5 years with no dental cavities. After using Trelegy according to instructions for just over SIX MONTHS I have just been diagnosed with EIGHT cavities costing ~$2000 to repair! After breathing the powder I always rinse THREE times. My dentist has recommended BRUSHING after use as well now that we see these side effects! I'm also finding the drug less effective after six months and now need to use Rescue Inhaler at least once per day which I did not need at all after starting on Trelegy."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I’ve been taking Trelegy for 2 months. I have horrible coughing attacks and severe mucus. More than I’ve ever had. I’m hoarse all the time. I’m just going to stop and go back to Symbicort. Trelegy isn’t for everyone"

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "Got 6 weeks sample of Trelegy, I have been using just a rescue inhaler. Occasionally they would not be effective and I would need to go to hospital. Steroids generally just cleared it up. Other than that decent functionality for an asthmatic. At first it seemed like nights weren't as bad, they had been the worst before. This still seems to basically be true; however, now my nose get completely stopped up at night, an inconvenience, but not the end of the world. The real issue is all of the phlegm, and the constantly being out of breath. Before I was able to work all day and maybe need a puff or two from the rescue. Now I can't even walk 100 yards and I am literally producing cups of phlegm a day and coughing a lot. At this point I think I am going to discontinue use, I started slowly putting off when I take it, and it seems like I am doing better before I take the medication. Then within 30 min I'm having breathing issues."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I was prescribed 1 treatment a day. After the third treatment I became very hoarse. I felt like my head was stopped up like never before. My throat felt closed up, my lungs as well. Trouble breathing. Rash on my side. Constipation. It’s now 4 days after the last treatment and I’m still having trouble with my throat and voice. This drug was given to me from the doctors office. Sample."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I only used my rescue inhaler occasionally before starting Trelegy, now I use it several times a day and I feel like I have a weight sitting on my lower lungs. This medicine, for me, is horrible and I never wish I had taken it."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "This drug is terrific for me. It stopped my eosinophilic asthma symptoms entirely. After 5 months, I still love it. The main side effect is hoarseness (despite gargling). I read online to take a tsp of Mylanta just after and so far that does help."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I’ve been on Trelegy for almost 2 years now and it’s my favorite inhaler I’ve been on. If I don’t take it for a day or two, I definitely notice a difference and have to take my rescue inhaler. However, I haven't wheezed once since taking it. I’m slowly getting over a cold and have noticed it’s not hitting the spot as well but I also think it played a big role in me barely having to use my rescue inhaler while I was sick, which I usually have to do. It’s an interesting drug to me since it was originally not even created for asthmatics. My only two side effects have been hoarseness in my voice but only if I don’t rinse my mouth out properly after taking it and I also get easier bruising. The bruising worried me at first but all my blood results have come back normal so I’ve just accepted it as a side effect."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I have severe eosinophilic asthma. I was given a 1 mo sample of Trelegy Elipta 200. My asthma is greatly improved, it has cut down on both mucus production and need for ventolin. I’ve had a daily headache since starting the medication. Heart feels like it’s racing on and off, blood pressure is elevated."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "Trelegy works great for my asthma! I no longer wheeze or cough, but my tongue gets so raw. It burns like fire if I eat anything salty, and it burns if I drink Diet Pepsi. It clears up, and before I know it, the raw tongue is back. It might be a yeast infection or thrush, but I don’t know. I always rinse my mouth and gargle with water. I forgot to tell my doctor when I had my physical last week. I have been on Trelegy for 6 months."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I have lung damage from cancer along with asthma. I watch for air quality alerts and track my peak expiratory flow rate and FEV. I was using Advair (generic) which was giving me a fairly high dose of inhaled steroid and constant thrush. I was 60% of my target Peak Flow range and only 70% for FEV. With two months of Trelegy, my Peak Flow is 96% of range and FEV in the mid 80%. With Trilogy I'm only getting half the amount of steroid I was getting before and my thrush symptoms have improved (though I still have to treat it). The difference with this med is the addition of the anticholinergic which will dry you out (so you must stay well hydrated). Ask your doctor about treating thrush (a major cause of "sore throat") and to check potassium and calcium levels (a big cause of leg cramps). Many of the "side effects" are easily treated without more meds. Also - if you experience side effects please, please report them to FDA dot gov, your doctor and the Trilogy folks."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I started using Trelegy three days ago and have not used my rescue inhaler since. I typically use it three or four times a day and have chest tightness most of the time. I am breathing normally for the first time in my life. If I was not worried about future side effects. I have been on so many medications for asthma and nothing has come close to the results I have had in the past three days. Just praying the results last and that I do not develop other side effects."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "Not a positive experience. I had asthma exacerbated during RST. Doc tried me on Trelegy Ellipta. Usually a rescue inhaler and the addition of a steroid inhaler is what I use. I prefer the softness of aerosol delivery with a spacer. The experience with Trelegy is very unpleasant based on the inhalation method. It feels gritty, therefore irritating. Who thought that was a great idea. Also began to experience chest ache. I'm quitting this. I believe the patient instruction for use needs to be improved. More specifically how long to inhale, how to aim the the mouthpiece. Toward the tongue, toward the back of the throat? There seemed to be no great gains over my usual treatment."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "Dr prescribed trelegy in July and I followed with rinsing my mouth out with water. September 29 I went to dentist and both me and my dentist were shocked. I had the worst dental exam of my life. In May I had no cavities. In September I had to get 5 crowns, 2 teeth could not save and 4 other teeth needed fillings. Since then I not only rinse with water, brush my teeth ,and use mouthwash after my daily inhalation of Trelegy. Today my asthma doctor told me to stop using trelegy. I hope that I never have another dental exam like that again. The dentist believes it was probably the cause and my doctor doesn’t believe it is the cause. My breathing has improved."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I normally use Seebri, Flixotide and Atrovent and that was and is working very well. My lungs are 79% for 3 years now but lung specialist gave me Trelegy Ellipta because its better and easier, well never again. After using it I started to shake badly and didn't feel good at all. Started to breath differently. They tell you its the same just 3 in 1 but it is absolutely different. So tomorrow starting my old medicine again. Let them inform you good before you try."

Switching back to prior inhalers."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "Switched from Breo to Trelegy recently, based on breathing expiratory tests indicated it might help. This is the height of my allergy season, when my asthma is at its worst. Rhinitis, Sinusitis, whatever, it is stuffy head and stuffed up noses, all make breathing deeply a chore. Trelegy does not seem to be working as well as the previous product, which I had only just begun using, and with good results. Trelegy does seem to improve breathing -- i.e. less "air hunger", but so did Breo. One negative side effect is weight gain. Not sure why, unless it is the steroids increasing my appetite. But two pounds in two days does not portend good long term results. May go back to Breo if this continues, and see if same weight gain happens with that product too."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I have been taking Trelegy for quite some time now and noticed it works great but only for so long. My go-to secondary inhaler was Symbicort which worked fabulous but insurance stopped paying for it. I get this crazy brain and body rush right after I inhale and hold my breath for just a few seconds. But all in all, Trelegy is a pretty great medication."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "I have been using this inhaler for two days, and have seen some improvement as far as breathing in and breathing out and the tight chest is minimal. I think it’s a really good inhaler and I hope to continue to use it. The only side effect, that I can tell is the upper part of my mouth has a sore maybe, and a little itchy at the roof of my mouth other than that it’s not out of control or anything else for that matter but I do know it’s there."

Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone / umeclidinium / vilanterol) "My spirometry improved within a month of my change of maintenance inhaler to Trelegy. My spirometry is monitored and tested daily. I did experience nasal congestion, sinusitis, bronchitis, and viral pneumonia while taking it. I’m fully recovered and still have improved average percentage of lung capacity. I am aware of how to take it in the morning. I’m now aware that I need to protect myself more when around people."
