For Birth Control "It hasn't made me sick or caused acne. I went to the doctor's twice from a urinary tract infection since I've been on it. I've been taking it for a month now, and my mood has changed severely. I have no interest in sex at all, I get dry, and I have no intention of wanting to do it. I feel stressed and depressed, and I've never been like that. I feel bad for my boyfriend, and it's been ruining our love life. I'm calling my doctor to switch as soon as she is available. When they say birth control doesn't affect your mood, they are wrong! Read the other reviews."

For Ovarian Cysts "The reason why I'm taking birth control is because of my ovarian cysts. I would have the worst period in the world, I felt like I was dying because of all the pain I was in. I started taking Sprintec around March, and my period has been so amazing. I sometimes forget I'm even on my period. Not only has it made my period a breeze, but my metabolism was boosted. I've lost 17 pounds so far, and it feels amazing."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. I've been on it for almost five months. I've been on two other pills before. They made me have severe mood swings and horrible depression, so my doctor put me on this one. I love it. My breasts have gotten bigger as well, which is a HUGE plus for me. Also, the only thing I use is these pills, no condoms or anything else, and I have a very active sex life, and I haven't gotten pregnant, so it is doing a great job. It has given me a higher sex drive too. I have two problems with it, but the pros outweigh the negatives. Firstly, I get nausea when I start a new pack. It usually lasts 3-4 days. It also gives me heavy periods. Though, they only last 3-4 days."

For Birth Control "Sprintec is great for me. I have taken it for a year and a half (19 years old). Never had any problems, but I guess that shows it works different for everyone. My breasts got bigger. I didn't gain any weight, periods became shorter, lighter periods, and I rarely have cramps, and if I do, they aren't bad. Before I got on Sprintec, I had really heavy periods, all 7 days long, and horrible cramps to the point where I would miss school and work. It's affordable, and I would recommend Sprintec to anyone."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for about 3-4 years. Overall, there's definitely pros and cons for me personally. I was young when I started taking it, and it helped so much with cystic acne. It's done what it's supposed to as far as preventing pregnancy. But as I've gotten older and the longer I've taken it, I feel like I'm dealing with PMS or even PMDD (a more severe form of PMS) for more than half the month. It's terrible... The mood swings are terrible, weight change, fluid retention, acne (not cystic, but acne and dryness of skin), prone to yeast infections after periods, terrible fatigue, and I feel depressed and angry. All this with caring well for my health and my skin. Keep in mind this is my personal experience up to date!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have always suffered from heavy bleeding since I was 16, and now I’m 39. I was put on Mirena IUD but had to have it replaced since it fell out twice. Was put on Sprintec about 8 months ago and have been spotting nonstop straight like a stuck pig in a butcher shop ever since. There have been times where I have had to change my Super + tampon and overnight pad all at once within 15 mins because I bled so bad and almost fainted. I also have fibroids. I have not been able to keep my appointments with my gynecologist and have to keep canceling my ultrasound/consultation for a hysterectomy due to the bleeding. And on top of this, my new doctor said I should never have been put on Sprintec in the first place due to my high blood pressure. I hope this helps someone because I came here crying and fed up because I have no one else to relate to. Good luck, ladies!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for almost a year. I started on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for a little under a month, it gave a period that didn't stop until I switched to Sprintec. I have close to zero side effects on Sprintec. It has been amazing for acne, my face is really clear now. No weight gain. I do have a really active sex life. I have been on antibiotics for bladder infections and not gotten pregnant. The only thing I have noticed is I do tend to shove people away when it's close to my period. Not every period, though. I've only experienced cramps one period in my life, which was a couple of months ago, but I think it was due to stress. Also, before this medication, my periods were very irregular, now they are always on the dot."

For Birth Control "I've taken Sprintec for about 4 years now. I studied abroad in France, and the pharmacy didn't carry Sprintec, so I was switched to a variation of a French brand, Tri-Sprintec, which I enjoyed. So, when I came back to the U.S., I tried Tri-Sprintec and did not like it. I gained weight, lost hair, and switched to Tri-lo-Sprintec. This one made my periods heavier, made me cramp a lot, and also I gained even more weight. After about 6 months, I decided to just go back to Sprintec, which I had taken for 3 years already with no issues... (I'm not sure why I didn't just do this immediately instead of trying other pills). I've never had any issue with Sprintec. I did notice bloating, but I've been taking some supplements that help me with this. I've had no issue with losing weight and have successfully lost the weight I had gained on the other pills by just eating healthier and exercising. Sprintec also helped my hair grow back and cleared my skin. I think Sprintec is a fail-proof BC pill."

For Birth Control "Alright, so when I was prescribed this, I was so scared to take it after reading some reviews. I just got on Accutane a couple months before going on Sprintec and was scared it would mess up my skin, but it actually helped so much with my skin. Another reason why I was prescribed it was before this, I got the copper IUD, worst decision of my life, and didn't stop bleeding for 4 months after I got it removed. I was still bleeding, then 1 week after being on Sprintec, the bleeding completely stopped. Don't be scared off from taking this medicine, everything works different for people. I also suffer from an eating disorder and was terrified to gain weight. It's been 5 months of me on this pill, and I haven't gained a pound. The only thing I have noticed is that my boobs and butt got way bigger, and my boobs are always kinda sore, but I'll take that over constantly bleeding all the time."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Pretty great. I have PCOS and my bleeding could last anywhere from 2 days to 50 days. Turns out I had really high testosterone and not enough estrogen. On Sprintec, I'm at a normal 7-day period, which is a significant upgrade. No visible side effects at all except gradual weight loss. Yeah, weight loss! I'm the Sprintec user everyone's jealous of. No idea how effective it is at preventing pregnancy. Haven't tried it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My doc prescribed Sprintec and said to use with the 'skip method,' where I skip inactive pills for a few months and only get 4 periods a year. Sprintec gave me horrible mood swings and anxiety attacks during the first few months. I was a nervous wreck, and my husband hated me. I hated myself. After that, it was good for a while. But now I've been spotting on and off for 3 weeks, with cramping and times of heavier bleeding. My sex life also is non-existent."

For Birth Control "Do not take Sprintec. I've been on it for two weeks, and I'm quitting already. This medicine makes me extremely nauseous and gave me prolonged headaches. On top of that, it made my face break out horribly, and I've gained 7 pounds. No, just no. Take a hard pass on this one and try something else."

For Birth Control "This is a great birth control and also has a couple of bad side effects. I possibly have arthritis in my knee, I only noticed shortly after starting this pill. I'm going to the doctor in a couple of days to find out what is actually wrong, so this pill might not have anything to do with it. The worst side effect is I cry and get upset almost every day. I have extreme mood swings, however, my body and face are beautiful and better than ever. My sex drive is pretty high and great for me. My breasts look fantastic, they have grown at least 1 cup size. I don't think I've had weight gain. I have a small flat belly and have only gained weight in the parts a girl would want. My boyfriend loves my body more than ever!"

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I have been on, and I love it. I have been on it for 6 months now, and the only side effect I have had was a little bit of weight gain. It is only 7 lbs, and I would bet quite a bit that it is all in my breasts. I went from a 34D to a 34DDD. Other than that, I have had no other side effects. My fiancé and I both agree that my sex drive has increased tremendously since I started taking Sprintec. This was just how it affected me."

For Ovarian Cysts "I started taking Sprintec about 2 months ago. I suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). At first, I refused any form of birth control, but after not having a period for 3 months and feeling entirely overwhelmed by all the symptoms from PCOS, I gave in, and boy, am I happy I made this decision. Since taking Sprintec, I have slightly to no symptoms from PCOS, I feel back to myself, and my periods are on track again."

For Birth Control "There are so many mixed reviews for this product, and honestly, you can't just go by what some of them say. Everyone's body is different and will react differently to medications. I've never had a problem with Sprintec, but others may. It's completely up to your body as to how it will react with the medication. It's fine to start out with it first since it is the cheapest birth control, and if it doesn't work for you... switch."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for almost 6 months now. I am 20 years old and had been on the NuvaRing since I was 16 and loved it until I had an injury that required I take the ring out. The first 2 months of the pill, I had absolutely no side effects whatsoever. I felt exactly the same as I did on the NuvaRing. At 3 months, however, my breasts have increased an entire cup size and are very sore all of the time. This is the only side effect I am experiencing. I take my pill at 9 pm each night. I have not experienced any weight gain."

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec for 3 years. I had no major side effects, I thought, until recently I stopped taking it so my husband and I can start trying for a baby. About a week and a half off the pill, my sex drive skyrocketed! Now I'm realizing that the hormones were suppressing my sex drive. Anyone else had this happen to them?"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I don’t really do this (write comments), but since I went through hell...I thought I’d share my experience. On my 3rd week of the pill, I started heavy bleeding and thought...OK, this could be breakthrough bleeding. But I began bleeding heavy - clots big as my palm. I became short of breath and felt a shock through my body and felt dizzy. I was going in circles. I got an appointment with OB/GYN right away. The doctor did an exam, everything was okay, but my pulse was 180! He sent me to the ER. They put me on IV fluids, exams, tons of blood work, and at the end, I received 2 bags of blood. They ruled it was the birth control that got everything so wacky due to all my labs and exams being okay. They advised NOT to take it again. I'm on meds now to help stop the bleeding and will have a follow-up with OB/GYN. I understand that the outcome of the medication is different for everyone. The reason I took this birth control was to regulate my periods. I would have heavy periods, but never this heavy. I hope this helps anyone looking into taking a birth control."

For Birth Control "I took this for 5 months and loved it. It actually cleared up the acne I had before I started it, and it kept me from getting pregnant. I started forgetting to take it, so I switched to the Depo Provera shot. It has made me depressed, crazy, gain weight, no period, lactate, acne breakouts, and no sex drive at all. Now my doctor even thinks I might have a tumor on my pituitary gland and will have to get an MRI to find out soon. So, I have definitely switched back to Sprintec, today actually, and I hope all these side effects from Depo Provera go away."

For Birth Control "So I read all the reviews here for the most part before getting my birth control by mail. I was really nervous and worried, but I still ended up taking them. I felt a little nausea in the morning after taking them at night, but nothing serious. I have PCOS and I started BC for that reason. I have started losing weight, and I think it's from the BC balancing my hormones since I have not gone on any diet or changed my routine. I recommend this BC. I am about 300 lbs and dropping, and I am also of Latin heritage. I hope this review helps someone."

For Birth Control "I am 19, in a relationship and have been on Sprintec for 3 months now, and this has been the only birth control pill I've tried. This pill has been extremely effective when it comes to preventing pregnancies. Unfortunately, I have had several side effects. At first, it started off as frequent headaches, then dizzy spells, and then an increase in mood swings. The dizziness and headaches. Everything else is good, the acne and the weight and stuff are normal for me, but the mood swings are killer. I have irrational anger and crying outbursts. I have started attacking my boyfriend when I'm angry."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This pill has been a godsend for me. I am 42 and have a six-year-old and a 3-year-old and have had hormonal issues since having them both: extremely heavy periods, horrible cramps, menstrual migraines, severe bloating and breast tenderness, heavy mid-cycle spotting, and cyclical insomnia. After one pack of these pills, I am sold. Lighter period, no cramps. No nausea, spotting, moodiness, and I am finally sleeping better. These have been the best pills I have taken during my reproductive years so far. I hope this helps some patients, as many of these reviews can be negative."
