For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Sprintec sucks!!! The reason I got on the pill was so I could have sex and not get pregnant!! Well, it works because I can't have sex because I won't stop bleeding!!! I first started taking the pill in October, all was well. When I started taking the placebos, I started my period and it lasted for two weeks. It finally ended. I decided the next time to skip the placebos so I wouldn't bleed for two weeks. Well, I started to bleed anyway, and I've now been bleeding for probably close to a month now. It hasn't really helped with acne or anything either. IDK whether to continue to take the pill and hope for the best or stop taking it and maybe my bleeding will stop??? Ugh!!!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have done nothing but bleed while on the Sprintec pill. I have bled, and bled, and bled, to the point where I needed to use bladder leakage pants to help with the bleeding, as I would go through pads and tampons like crazy. I used a whole box of 18 tampons in one day. (Super and regular) they were both dripping. (TMI, I know) Honestly, this is the worst medicine I have ever taken for birth control. Would not recommend to anyone. I don't even take the sugar pills!"

For Birth Control "I've just completed my first month on Sprintec, which is supposed to be the hardest supposedly, but my body adjusted fine. I haven’t gotten pregnant and use it as my only form of protection. My skin has gotten a lot better, and I haven’t gained weight. It’s also very affordable. The only cons are my breasts have been sore every single day since I’ve started taking it, and it makes my periods longer because the flow is lighter than what I’m used to. I recommend 100% and will continue to use it. It affects everyone differently, so don’t be scared to try it because of all the bad reviews it has."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm starting my last row of pills tomorrow (the placebos), and I still have a period. I have been bleeding for three weeks straight, and I'm going into the fourth. My doctor said that it could take three months. If I still have a period on my second pack, I'm leaving this brand. This is ridiculous."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for 2 years, and I love it. At first, I was on Beyaz, and that was awful, so my gyno switched me to this, and I'm glad she did. I have virtually no acne. Beyaz made me gain at least 15 pounds, and I've slimmed down since taking this, but not by much. My breasts only become sore around the time of my period. My period always comes the same day of the week, and I haven't had any pregnancy scares. One of the best things about it is that with my health insurance, there's no copay (Beyaz had a copay of $40). I used to have a lot of vaginal discharge, and Sprintec has substantially minimized it. My sex drive is through the roof, but my appetite hasn't been affected as far as I can tell. No complaints!"

For Birth Control "This medication, Sprintec, caused me to have several blood clots in both of my lungs. I almost died. I was admitted, had next-day surgery, and now have a $150,000 hospital bill. I only took 1 pack and was on my second week on the next pack. I doubt I have a family history of blood clots. I wouldn't take this if I were you, especially not African American females."

For Birth Control "I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome 2 months ago by my OBGYN. Earlier this year, I began to experience a number of odd symptoms, such as: 1. Severe mood swings 2. Skipped periods 3. Extreme bloating 4. Mild acne 5. Diminished libido. I was put on Sprintec, and the first 2 weeks were HELL. I experienced nausea (lost 5 lbs). I couldn't keep anything down, it was out of control! Mood became worse. I was ready to call my doctor and ask her to put me on something else, but after the nausea subsided (around week 3), I decided to complete the 3-month trial period. Currently on Month 2, and after my first period, I felt better than ever! Mood, energy, and sex drive are at an all-time high. I will definitely stay on Sprintec."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sprintec for 1.5 years. This is the first birth control that I have not had any side effects. I have tried the shot and other pills before. I will stay on this for another 3 years. Cleared up my acne. Went from a full face of acne to nothing. My periods are only 3 days with no pain. I would recommend this pill to anyone."

For Birth Control "I normally try to avoid sharing my experience with birth control as we all know every woman is different, but this pill is awful. The first month of taking this pill, I experienced severe depression and suicidal thoughts. After the second month, the thoughts went away, but I was extremely sad. I also spotted for 3 months while taking this pill and experienced cramping at least once a week. I am now using Tri-Estarylla, and it works very well."

For Birth Control "It works for not getting pregnant, but I get really moody and yell at my boyfriend a lot. I get really bad chest pains and can't breathe well at times. My left arm goes numb and hurts, I was fine before I started taking this pill. Since I've been on it, I've been nothing but sick for 6 months now."

For Birth Control "I am a 19-year-old woman who has just started Sprintec in January 2020, and today is May 5. Since then, I have got spider veins. I haven’t weighed myself, but I’m definitely getting bigger, and all my fat seems to be going to my stomach and thighs. Nothing a little exercise and waist trainer can help, and I can say my breasts have got a little bigger too. Overall, I love the fact that I’m gaining weight, you just have to keep it under control because it changes the way your body stores fat."

For Birth Control "At least for my body, this pill was horrible. I read so many great reviews on having light cramps and moods are fine and no swelling, but this pill has done the complete opposite for me. My hands have shown signs of swelling lately, my moods are beyond horrible and scary, and my cramps have been bad. Looking to switch pills here soon."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for almost a month. I LOVE it! It has done nothing but its job and more! I have struggled with anxiety and severe depression in the past, and this is definitely a mood stabilizer for me. I rarely have to deal with anxiety anymore or depression. I am a lot happier, and I haven't had really any bad side effects besides sometimes I get a little moody. I love Sprintec. First and last birth control I will ever try."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "When I started Sprintec, a couple of days later I started having side effects. I started being really short with my kids. Then I started going into panic mode every time they went anywhere, and they both are teenagers. And I had nothing to worry about. Then I started spotting, which I know was going to happen from reading the reviews. So I didn't mind that. But the panic attacks got worse, my chest started hurting, then I started bleeding and clotting non-stop, headaches, lightheadedness. My MD finally told me to stop taking them. I was bleeding so badly I was homebound for weeks. And I'm still bleeding some. Went from having no period to bleeding non-stop. Thank God I'm a nurse, or I would be in the hospital."

"I personally would not recommend this birth control pill to any woman. It completely changed my personality while I was on it, and I was depressed and constantly anxious. I was so dramatic about every little thing and cried all the time, I felt like a crazy person, and I honestly probably appeared that way too. I had 0 sex drive and was always dry, which was very uncomfortable. Perhaps the most concerning of them all was that it messed with my ability to retain memories and recall events that occurred when I was on it. The majority of these months are now somewhat of a blur to me. When I finally quit taking it, it was like a cloud had been lifted and my quality of life was back completely. I will soon be switching to an IUD, which I hear is a much less systemic option, and I recommend this to other women too."

For Birth Control "I struggled with irregular periods ever since I started my period at 14, so at 18, I decided to go on birth control (also because I became sexually active). I've been on it for about 7 months now, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. For the first three months, it made my emotions a little weird, my periods heavier, and my breasts tender, but now that my body is used to it, I have 0 side effects whatsoever. No weight gain at all (in fact, I've lost a bit of weight), no decreased libido, no spotting or mood changes. It's also made my skin incredibly clear, which is a nice plus. I love this birth control because it's worked so well for me."

For Birth Control "I started Sprintec last November for my heavy periods, and for that, it's working great. It has reduced my periods from 10 days to 5 days, and after the first few months, they are now incredibly predictable. I know exactly when they'll start and end and what flow intensity to expect each day. They have also considerably lightened my periods. The only side effect I have noticed is weight gain. It may not have helped that I started the pill around the holidays, as I have found myself with a bigger appetite since starting Sprintec. I gained about 10 lbs by about January (but I haven't gained since then due to changes in diet) and went up about 1.5-2 cup sizes (so annoying since I'm an athlete). My butt and thighs also got noticeably bigger."

For Birth Control "I've tried a lot of birth control pills, and nothing has worked as well as Sprintec has for me. Three months in, and I feel great! The first few weeks, I did experience some nausea, but I have not had any other bad side effects. My skin looks amazing, and I am very acne-prone. My periods have gone from 10 days to 3 days. I do not have cramps on this pill. I highly recommend trying it if you have bad acne and long and heavy periods."

For Birth Control "Just finished my second pack. For the first month, I had headaches and nausea consistently, so I started to take my pill with food and in the evenings. My period has been on time, completely painless (I had debilitating cramps previously), and very light both months. During the second pack, headaches and nausea subsided-and previously my skin was constantly breaking out, and I haven’t had a breakout in over a month, which is amazing! My boobs grew about a cup size, but I haven’t put on any additional weight (however, I do exercise regularly). I struggle with anxiety and depression in general, but have not noticed any changes or crazy mood swings, which is something I was worried about-if anything, I feel a bit more stable than usual due to the steady stream of hormones in my system."

For Ovarian Cysts "Took this pill at first just because I had cysts that I had to remove surgically. I'm talking like 12 cm cysts. This pill not only helps with my cysts, but I have no mood swings, my periods are controlled, my skin has never been better, and my sex life is great. No cramping anymore at all! Perfect for me!"

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec for five months, and it was awful. Experienced horrible acne and mood changes. I was a completely different person on this. I was constantly crying over everything and having mental breakdowns almost every day. It was so bad that nobody wanted to be around me. It really put me in a bad place, I had really bad depression while on it and constant dark and negative thoughts. Everyone’s body reacts differently, though, I just wanted to post this so if you are experiencing negative thoughts, please reach out to your doctor so they can help you."

For Birth Control "First, let me preface this by saying that every woman's body is different. Don't let these comments highly influence if you decide to take or not to take Sprintec. You yourself have to try it and see if it works for you. With that being said, I have been on Sprintec for a little over 5 months. It works for me. I really haven't had any side effects... no weight gain, no acne, no crazy moods. I am a Sunday starter, and my period usually comes on late Tuesday or early Wednesday during the week of the placebo pill. The only thing I will say against it is that I haven't experienced the shorter periods. My period still stays on for about 5 days. Most importantly of all, I haven't gotten pregnant!"

For Birth Control "My doctor put me on Sprintec after trying several other pills for birth control and my horrible cramps. The first month, I was dizzy, and my skin was really oily, but taking it before bed and washing my face more often helped. After the second month, the dizziness completely disappeared, and my skin looks great. My cramps used to be unbearable and kept me home from work each month, now I can manage them with a heating pad and a few Advil (instead of taking up to 10 a day). My breasts are larger, but I haven't noticed a weight gain, and it has not affected my sex drive. Everyone is different, but if you are trying this and experiencing side effects, I suggest trying to stick it out at least for the first month. But when in doubt, ask your doctor!"

For Birth Control "I'm about to start my third pill pack, and I love this birth control. Both months my period started the third day of the placebo pills. I have little to no side effects. Sometimes I feel a little nauseous, and my appetite has gone down. But the effectiveness is great! My boyfriend and I have had sex a few times without any other protection. The pill really does work, and I'm so thankful it's so reliable. I do take my pill right to the second at 1 o'clock every day. My experience with Sprintec is wonderful, and I plan to stick with it as my birth control."

For Birth Control "I was extremely scared to start taking this pill because of all of the reviews, but I saw one review that made me change my mind. The girl said, 'Everyone's body reacts differently. The only way to know how yours will react is to try it.' So I did, and now I feel the same as she did. This birth control is great. I only had symptoms the first 2 days, and that was only nausea and one time vomiting. After that, I never felt nauseous again. I've been on it for about a month now, and I've experienced some weight gain, but mostly in all the right areas (breasts, butt, and hips). Because of where the weight gain is, I suspect it's the pill because normally my weight fluctuates. If you're worried, just try it. The worst that could happen is you stop using it."
