For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started the pills because I have terrible periods (vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, and terrible cramps). The first month, I was so irritable, my mood changes were unbearable, I got sad, depressed, normal, extremely irritated. Now, in the second month, I have controlled the mood swings a little bit, but I'm very nauseous. I have never liked olives, but now if I'm even close to one, I want to vomit. I feel like I gained around 4-6 pounds. I gave it a 4 rating because even though it has side effects, it helped me tremendously with my menstruation. My periods are shorter, lighter, and not traumatic nor painful at all."

For Birth Control "Does the job. I haven't gotten pregnant, but in the 3 months I have been taking it, I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding, headaches almost every morning, nausea, weight gain, and feeling overly emotional. I'm going to find a new birth control."

For Birth Control "I am currently on this medicine, and I have been on it for several months. So far, it is very effective. The main side effects I experience from it are headaches, fatigue, and really bad nausea. It has made my period more regular, but it's longer now, it went from 3 days to almost a full week. I haven't had acne breakouts like other reviews, but each person is different."

For Birth Control "I am currently on my second pack of this pill. I switched because my doctor did not think I was on a high enough dose. Since I have started on this, I am spotting constantly, and my acne has flared up. Almost every day I have massive headaches where I just have to go in my room and sit in the dark. I am spotting constantly. My periods have gotten heavier and last the same amount of days as before. It does its job of preventing pregnancy, though."

For Birth Control "I'm 22, normal weight, healthy. I was nauseous and broke out for the first week. My boobs were basically always tender, but they also swelled (I'm like an A cup, so I saw that as a plus). I have always been an easy crier, and it did intensify that. I've always had a low libido, so I don't think it changed much (although my libido went way up after getting off of Sprintec). I was sad to have to get off it because I had such minor side effects, but the issue I had was bleeding for 7 months. It was light - I went through about 2 panty liners per day and didn't need to sleep in anything - until the last week when I got fed up. I bled so much that I was blacking out and feeling sick. I stopped cold turkey and got headaches, but the bleeding is over!!!"

For Birth Control "This is my third week on this brand. I'm really not too sure if I fully like it or not! I don't get as many headaches, but I have been getting random body pains. I feel like when I get the smallest cuts, I bleed more than normal. I can agree with some other reviews that I want sex more than normal, and my breasts feel very swollen and firmer than normal. I have noticed that if I take my pill at least an hour after the time I normally do, I start to get such bad pains near my hips. And it's not a little, I mean sharp pain. I also have no interest in food at all since I have started this brand. When I do force myself to eat, I personally eat almost three times less than I did before this pill."

For Birth Control "My doctor prescribed Sprintec for hormonal imbalance, PMDD. (I'm 42) I take active pills for 3 months before I have a period. The first 3-4 days during the first week I get very nauseous an hour after taking. I started taking my pills at night, and crackers help too. My breasts have doubled in cup size (not a bad thing) and are swollen and sensitive. I'm hoping this subsides after my breasts stop growing. I have also gained 8-10 pounds. My doctor prescribed a water pill to help reduce swelling. I think I may need a stronger prescription. (I have gone off Sprintec in the past, and the 8-10 pounds drop off in a month or less) Sprintec helps a great deal with my symptoms, which include: mood swings, headache, backache, painful cramps, depression."

For Birth Control "Okay, so I started Sprintec a month ago and just came to the conclusion today this is not for me. I started off with nausea and headaches and then began feeling extremely anxious and angry. Well, it just hit me today that I started this new birth control a month ago. If you have anxiety or depression normally, I would be extra careful with this specific BC. Actually, a lot of birth controls haven't worked for me, but this one's been especially crappy."

For Birth Control "This is my second month of Sprintec, and I have had severe hair loss, cramps all the time, which seem to last all day sometimes. I have gained weight, back pain, headaches, and most of all, lack of energy! The only positive is that my sex drive has increased. Before this, I was using Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, which was okay. It was too expensive, so I switched to this."

"I've been taking Sprintec for 10 months and had no problems, besides feeling a little nauseated at times and slight headaches. No major problems at all. I was prescribed this birth control due to heavy, irregular periods. Since taking Sprintec, I've had regular periods that last up to 3-4 days, sex has increased, and I feel more motivated and active. I would highly recommend this birth control because it works."

For Birth Control "I haven't been on Sprintec for a month yet. I see the side effects say it causes hives. First, it started with severe hives on my hands that's still there, so bad I thought I had Hand, Foot & Mouth infection. Now I'm getting hives all over my body; it's even caused peeling of some skin. I wouldn't recommend it. It also causes lots of headaches."

For Birth Control "Taken for painful cramping. 5'3'', 120 lbs, age 27 started with Lostrin but moved out of state and started taking Sprintec in 2015. Honeymoon period. Two years later, I am 144 lbs, 29, suffer from depression, bloating, stagnant digestion, pain in lower abdomen (regardless of having a period), and periodic cluster headaches. The weight gain has been gradual despite the fact I was working physical jobs and doing yoga a couple of times a week. Recently stopped taking pills as I noticed my period was occurring before I even got to the white row. Had been skipping that row completely as it seems my body wants to do what it wants. Experiencing (both abdominal pain and lower back ache) have lessened in frequency, but when it's present, it's debilitating."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Sprintec for about two years. I am not impressed at all. Pros: I am not pregnant. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and have yet to get pregnant. Cons: nausea and vomiting after I start a new pack from being on my period. Sometimes I get nauseous just from taking it. I am OCD about my schedule of taking it, so that’s not the issue. Excessive weight gain, despite working out and eating clean. On my other birth control, I never gained weight and I stayed fit. On this one, I cannot lose weight to save my life. The headaches are unreal, they’re so bad. I have the worst mood swings even when I’m nowhere near my period. I’ve been trying to switch, but my insurance is giving me a hard time, that’s the only reason I haven’t yet. I have Tricare (military insurance), and they fully cover this birth control. Without insurance, it’s expensive."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 7 months now. The first 4 months were fine, didn't improve my heavy period or lessen the days I have my period (7). The 5th month I bled for 1 1/2 months, after I went through that, I got the side effects. CONSTANT headache, super nauseous all the time, I have no energy whatsoever, tons of problems with my contact lenses, I'm dizzy all the time, lost partial vision in my right eye for about 1 day, I don't have a sex drive anymore. This is the worst birth control I've ever taken!!!"

For Birth Control "When I first started taking Sprintec, I had mild headaches for the first 3 months. I was on Sprintec for 1 year and had an insatiable appetite the entire time. I did, however, love that my periods got MUCH lighter, easier to track, and my horrible PMS pretty much disappeared. I got married and stopped taking it because my husband and I are ready for babies!"

For Birth Control "Not terrible, but not great. I've only been on it for one month so far, but I've been constipated, bloated, and my eyes have been bugging me. I got nauseous for the first two weeks of use, to the point that I had to take prescription medication for nausea. There's no difference in my skin (still pretty clear), and I get headaches periodically. I've also had trouble concentrating. This did nothing for cramps either. I didn't get pregnant, so I guess it's doing its job, but I'll probably switch to another brand."

For Birth Control "So I was put on Sprintec to regulate my period, and it did. However, this is one of those times when the cons outweigh the pros. I was on the pill for about 4 months. When I first started, I did get headaches and breast tenderness, you know some of the common side effects. They were bearable though. Around the second month, I ended up having a yeast infection, and at first, I didn’t really think much of it. Then I started getting it every month after that. My doctor claims there is no correlation, but I know my body. And I think I was right because, once I came off the pill, it cleared up. Also, my sex drive was nonexistent on the pill, but it took a while for me to notice until my boyfriend brought it to my attention. But I will say the pill helped reduce my acne. It’s all trial and error, and people have to take that risk to find what’s right for them."

For Birth Control "Not bad. First started this when I was 17. I didn't like how it made my periods and cramps way worse, but over the months, it's calmed down. I did get some mood swings, I didn't gain weight, but I always felt hungry. I would eat, and then five minutes later feel like I'm starving. I always take the pill before bed, so I didn't notice any headaches or weird feelings. It did kill my sex drive, though. I'm 22 now, and I decided to try something else. As soon as I stopped the pills, my sex drive came back, so it's been great. I didn't get pregnant, so it wasn't too bad."

For Birth Control "Previously, I had an IUD (Mirena). After 3 years, all of a sudden, that caused me to start having terrible headaches and a lump in my breast, which went away. I waited 3 months to get my body back to normal before starting Sprintec. It works well at prevention, no more headaches. My boobs have been sore and have grown almost a full cup size in just 2 months. It has increased my appetite. I'm very skinny, always been about 100 lbs. I have gained 4 lbs in 2 months. This never happens. I do not fluctuate in weight. I haven't decided if I like it yet. I'm happy with my weight, but I'm a little worried if the increased appetite keeps up, if it will taper off soon or continue."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I've been on. I've not had too many issues with it except the first six months or so. After every period for about 4 to 7 days, I always felt nauseous and had headaches. My periods have been on time since I started using it, and I can almost pinpoint the exact time it'll start. I've gained about 10 pounds. Acne isn't much of an issue anymore. Overall, pretty satisfied."

For Birth Control "I started taking Sprintec yesterday. Within half an hour, my eyes were blurry and sensitive to light. My head was hurting extremely badly, and is still hurting today. I woke up at three in the morning due to stomach cramps, which I have never had happen before on my period. This, of course, is how my body reacted to it, I am not saying other people will have the same symptoms."

"I have been on Sprintec for 8 months now and was switched to it because insurance paid for the generic and not the name brand, so I went from Ortho Cyclen to Sprintec. Since the second month I started Sprintec, I have had the worst cramps I have ever had and a headache the entire week of my period. I have switched to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and have noticed a huge difference in my cramps and headache, they are practically gone. The mood swings I had on Sprintec were unbearable also."

"I've been taking Sprintec for exactly two weeks. I have had absolutely no symptoms. There has been no breakthrough bleeding, nausea, or headaches. I've been breaking out a little more than normal since I started Sprintec, but that could also be due to stress. I take it around 7:00 pm or so, right around when I eat. This may be why I have been able to avoid any nausea, so I recommend taking it with something to eat. When it comes to effectiveness, I can't comment yet until I finish the pack, but I'm sure taking it regularly will make it effective."

For Birth Control "Went on this birth control, and within the first week, I was throwing up EVERYTHING I would eat. I was constantly dizzy and had horrible headaches. I was never eating, yet I felt extremely fat. My boobs are super sensitive. No sex drive. No spotting, but I am extremely moody, and I got on the pill to help my face stay clear, but all it has done is make my face break out extremely bad. I don't know if I should stay on this pill or drop it. It has only been around a month, so I am hoping the side effects will go away, but if they keep happening, I will be switching."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This was the first BC I have used, for my crazy abnormal periods and as a birth control. The first month was crazy: headache, fatigue, nausea, extreme cramps, but I decided to stick with it, and eventually, that went away. My period started on a Tuesday and ended on a Saturday and was way lighter, and I hadn't experienced normal period symptoms besides bloating. The second month, I had crazy mood swings, followed by the month after that. Periods still came on Tuesday-Saturday, but I started noticing on my new packs, I had headaches, fatigue, nausea, etc. My fourth and fifth months, I have had my period for two weeks. It would start on my third-week pill Tuesday, all the way until I had to start my new pack. I am shortly switching."
