For Birth Control "No problems - at first had a great sex drive, 4 day periods, no cramps, light. No headaches or mood changes like with other birth control pills. The pills are not expensive. Did have a lot of yeast infections every month at the time of my period. Stopped taking it because my sugar got high and blood pressure was high. If you are diabetic or have high blood pressure, you have to be monitored by your doctor. This pill was not for me, but everybody is different."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for 4 months now. Within the first few days of taking it, I had already experienced horrible side effects to the point of calling my doctor to get it changed. She told me to stick it out, so I decided to, although that was a HUGE mistake. Within the first few days, I was having horrible headaches, as well as mood swings and extreme irritability. I would get lightheaded and my cramps would be so bad to the point of almost passing out (I never had this issue before). I started breaking out with cystic acne around my jaw and mouth, as well as worsening depression and anxiety. Not to mention, I've been bleeding for a month straight now. DO NOT TAKE!!!"

For Birth Control "I have taken Sprintec at two separate points in my life. The first time around, I had no issues besides mood swings the week before my period. I changed to a lower estrogen birth control option because my GP was concerned about the mood swings. However, that lower dose had worse side effects for me. Fast forward one year, and I get prescribed Sprintec again. Now I have nausea at night (so intense I thought I had food poisoning the first week), sleeping problems, severe anxiety, and headaches. I will be switching my birth control options again due to the intolerable side effects."

For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience with this birth control. The worst part about it was my mood swings, they were horrible. My sex drive was nothing. I just had a really bad experience on it. I started on Wednesdays, and so my periods would normally come on Fridays, so they'd last about 5 days, which was longer than Loestrin for me. This is my last pack. I did not have bad acne, weight gain, bad cramps, headaches, nausea, etc."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for 3 months. I started taking it because my hormones were wacky and I would skip periods often. Since taking Sprintec, my periods have been normal and regular. The symptoms I have experienced are enlarged breasts, (36D to almost 36DDD), bloating, increased sex drive, slight headaches, and nausea. Lately, I have been scared because I've been having symptoms of pregnancy, and this is the first month my boyfriend and I haven't used any other type of protection. I'm sure it's just the birth control. Other than those little problems, Sprintec has seemingly worked for me. Also, I do tend to get a little emotional, but not too often."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I wouldn’t recommend Sprintec to my worst enemy. I was originally on MonoNessa, which worked AMAZING, but due to the pharmacy temporarily running out, they put me on Sprintec, telling me it’s the same thing. IT IS NOT THE SAME THING! A week after taking Sprintec, I started throwing up and had diarrhea for two days straight. After that, it’s been nothing but downhill. At least once a week I’ll start having a two-day period of throwing up and diarrhea. I had bad headaches, bad mood swings, and I was constantly tired and weak. I was put on Sprintec to help regulate my periods (I am not sexually active). They gave me a three-month supply, but I refuse to take it anymore, and I am switching back to MonoNessa. Worst pill I’ve been on!"

For Birth Control "I took the pill before, so I decided to try the same one again since it worked really well for me before. I have been on it for about 3 weeks this time, and I feel great. A little sore, but a little bit bigger boobs, slight nausea, but eating fixes it, less appetite, a couple tiny headaches, and some cramps for two days in the first week, but nothing after that, spotting for two weeks straight basically, but very light, skin already looks clearer, I think, more energy. I think my hormones were messed up from stress and messing with my skin and cycle. I'm hoping that it continues to get better with this pill."

For Ovarian Cysts "Horrible medicine! I was on this medicine for ovarian cysts and to help regulate my cycles. The side effects are awful! I started having headaches, acne very bad (which I never get), sex drive is down, bloating/stomach cramps are horrible! Also, I noticed I was so much more hungry throughout the day! It didn’t help me for what I needed it to! I stopped taking this immediately!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for a month and a half. It's the first time I've been on the pill. I'm someone who usually gets sick easily, so I was expecting to have every negative symptom imaginable after starting this birth control. The first week, I only noticed that I felt nauseous, and after that, my body got used to it. Negative effects that I had were uncomfortable cramping the week before and after I took the inactive pills, a period that lasted 8 1/2 days, and bad clotting during my period. I've actually lost about ten pounds since taking this pill. I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I've been a little restless during sleep and have mild headaches more often. There hasn't been any change in my sex drive at all."

For Birth Control "I was put on Tri Sprintec at the age of 13 (irregular periods) and it helped for the most part. For about the first two years, I had no problems. No acne, very tolerable periods, etc. However, my weight shot up to about 175-180ish and would not go back down, regardless of vigorous exercise. By the time I went back to the doctor to switch medications to Sprintec, I mentioned the fact that I've gained all this weight with no changes in exercise and even a bigger decrease in food intake. She told me, 'the medication doesn't cause that.' So... I continued for another year on Sprintec, and my weight has gone up yet again to around 200. I've read the comments on this webpage because I am finally getting around to researching. Lots of stories I can relate to like irregularity, spotting, headaches, fatigue, hyper-anxiety, severe weight gain (40 lbs for me). Definitely going to quit taking it soon."

For Birth Control "I started this in April of 2017. I had super bad side effects the first few months, like breast pain, long periods, cramps, headaches, etc. Around the end of September that year, I started to get very anxious and depressed. I didn’t really think it could be my birth control, so I just dealt with it like it was normal. It’s NOT, it gets worse as you take the pill. It did a great job preventing pregnancy, although we use a condom as well. Overall, I wouldn’t say it was terrible, it definitely wasn’t good."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for a month now, and it's been good. The first week I was a little nauseous and had some headaches, but that could be due to stress, not the pill. I haven't gained any weight or gotten bigger boobs. My acne isn't too much better, but I'll give it more time, got my period, so it's doing its job. No real complaints!!"

For Birth Control "I got on this birth control to help with a lighter period and breakouts. My first month I got my period the week before the sugar pills and then spotted for the first 3 days of the sugar pills. Going into my second month (I am almost a week in), I have experienced TERRIBLE breakouts, headaches, bloating, and I am very irritable all the time. I am going to stick it out for the suggested 3 months to allow my body to try and regulate the hormones, but if the breakouts, headaches, irritation, and bloating persist, I will change birth controls."

For Birth Control "I am 30, and I have been taking Sprintec for about 11 months now, started taking it after the birth of my 4th child. Cheapest birth control ever! I have not had any problems with acne, abnormal cramping, lack of sex drive, or anything else. The last 3 months, I have noticed headaches about the week before my period started, but I figured this is due to getting older. Blood flow and period length is the same as it has always been on other birth controls. I know the exact day I will start and stop and am totally prepared."
