For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for 5 years now. Overall, pretty good. No pregnancies, keeps acne at bay, periods only last ~4 days when it used to be heavy flow for 7 days without birth control (plus, can predict what time it will come; mine starts between 3-7 pm every first day of period). My breasts also went up 1.5 cup sizes. The only downside for me would be extreme mood swings (mad, sad, crying for no reason... but only towards my husband lol!) during period, breast tenderness (near and during period time), occasional nausea. After 5 months of use, I tried to skip the series of white pills and went straight into the next pack in hopes of not getting my period for that month... went terribly. Bled/spotted for the next 30 days."

For Acne "PLEASE READ THIS: Tri-Sprintec will cause an initial breakout for the first 3-4 months. DON'T BE DISCOURAGED! After this period, your skin will clear up like magic! I'm 20 years old and have been on Tri-Sprintec on/off since I was 18. I've had severe acne since I was about 12/13 years old and have seen multiple dermatologists since then. Nothing worked until I went to my gyno to get on birth control, and she recommended Tri-Sprintec because it helped with acne. At first, I felt mild nausea and severe depression/mood swings/etc., but as time passed, this went away. Each time I got back on the medication, I would have a terrible breakout period, but it's completely worth it. This is a great pill, and I've never had problems with it."

For Birth Control "I have been taking birth control pills for many years, and Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo has been very tolerable, with no side effects besides one: PREGNANCY. I thought it was better than all the others I've tried since it didn't give me headaches or nausea, but I'd take headaches and nausea any day over this. I took this pill exactly as directed, at the same time every morning, never missing a single pill. I avoided foods and medication that could possibly interfere with the pill's effectiveness. After a year of being on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and having periods you could set your watch to, I noticed I was a day late. Unfortunately, I have become part of that very small percentage of women that becomes pregnant while taking hormonal contraception."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec 28 for about 3 months now and love it! It was prescribed by my doctor to ease my menstrual cramps, and it did that and so much more. I had little acne here and there, now my skin is flawless. I have almost no cramps during my period, which is huge from before because I used to sit in pain for hours. My breasts are larger, and the pills are cheap! Also, no pregnancy, so overall 10/10! The only con I can think of is slight nausea after taking the pill, but it doesn't last very long, and I take my pill at bedtime, so I'm asleep when the nausea occurs anyway. Great pill."

For Birth Control "After years of being on this birth control, I just finally figured out that it’s what’s been making me sick all this time! This pill gives me debilitating nausea and vomiting for the first couple weeks of my pack every month. This pill has major side effects compared to other birth controls. My girls will be SO sore for a whole week, I’m like an emotional roller coaster, and as mentioned before, the nausea and vomiting. If you’re looking to switch birth controls or are just looking at this because your insurance changed your brand, run. DO NOT TAKE THIS."

For Birth Control "In my opinion, this pill really has many positive things to it. I've had no mood swings. I've been able to control my weight so much easier on this pill, and my periods have been lighter and shorter. The only problem the first week I used it, I've been nauseated. Other than that, great pill."

For Birth Control "Horrible experience. I was on Sprintec for a little over a month. I always had a headache and felt nauseous once I began taking it. One day out of the blue, I had serious shooting pains in my stomach, and it turns out I developed a cyst on my right ovary (never had this problem before). The doctor told me that it looked like the cyst had been there for about a month. Mind you, I just started taking the medicine a little over a month ago. I do not recommend. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I needed to share my experience and hope this helps!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about a year now, and I just cannot deal with it anymore! I used to be so happy, but lately, I'm a different person, someone who is not nice. At first, I thought just I hadn't gotten used to it yet, but as more time has gone on, I am hateful, severely depressed, nauseated, very tired, and constantly just an unhappy person. It has affected my relationships with everyone, and the next chance I get, I'm switching to something else. I'm not saying it will do this to everyone, but I know it has been awful for me. One thing it has done is what it was supposed to do, it kept me from getting pregnant."

For Acne "I have now been on this birth control for 3 months. I originally started because I was experiencing very bad hormonal acne on my neck and jawline that was not going away with expensive skincare products or over-the-counter products. I had tried 2 other birth controls before settling on this one, they both made me extremely nauseous and groggy. I’m so glad I found this birth control. But you need to give it time. It won’t work immediately. You will experience acne purges, it’s not the birth control giving you acne, it’s your acne essentially purging itself out so you can have that clear skin. Besides helping my acne, my cramps are now bearable, which is amazing since I’ve always had super painful cramps. The only other side effect I’ve experienced was breast tenderness and breast growth, which I’m not complaining about. No weight gain! This pill has been a lifesaver for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Mononessa for about 5 months now, and I don't have any serious issues. When I first began taking it, I did experience some nausea that went away after a week. I figure it was just my body getting used to it since this is my first time using birth control. I have suspected slight moodiness/sensitivity, but nothing too extreme."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, this contraceptive made me nauseated every single day, which was irritating. I did spot more than normal in the first month or two, however, I am now 18 months in and like it very much. I don't have nearly as many crazy mood swings on this pill as I have on others, and it seems to be a very effective contraceptive (even if I forget to take it and have to play catch-up every once in a while). However, since I've been on it, I have experienced yeast infections and urinary tract infections much more often than usual, but I'm unsure if that is the pill or a change in sexual habits. All in all, not pregnant, so thumbs up."

For Birth Control "This was my first time taking hormonal birth control, and I can say it is my last as well. I was only on this pill for 6 days, and within those days my anxiety was triggered like never before. Not only was I nauseous every day, but I started experiencing paranoid thoughts and almost delusions. With already existing mental illnesses, this medication triggered all of them to be so much worse. On the 6th day of taking it, I felt out of touch with reality and started sobbing and continued sobbing every day on and off for about 4 days out of fear and anxiety that had suddenly taken over my whole brain. I have never experienced this level of feeling out of control mentally. Please, if you are thinking about taking this specific brand of birth control, don't if you have existing mental illnesses. Overall, horrible experience, I am traumatized."

For Acne "I am 24, and I have been taking Trinessa for almost a month. I have nice skin as it is, but this birth control has helped with the normal small breakouts that we all get. I have noticed my skin 'glows' more now. On the downside, I felt nauseous every day for the first week. I couldn't eat because I felt so sick. I have cramps and feel bloated. I haven't gained any weight that I have noticed. I have had lower back pain and more cravings for food. BUT, my sex drive is through the roof, which I can't complain about. Overall, I hope the sickness goes away. If I didn't know I was on the pill, I'd think I was pregnant."

For Birth Control "Pros of this pill were that my skin cleared up completely within four months, and I didn't get pregnant! Had some nausea and mood swings in the first few months, but nothing crazy. Unfortunately, this birth control caused one more serious side effect for me called vaginal atrophy. I saw three gynos before seeing a specialist who determined that Sprintec made my estrogen drop and the vaginal tissue was atrophying. Yikes. Had lots of infections, pain, itching... super not fun and now I'm off it. If you start having these symptoms after being on it for a month or two, then just stop taking it and save yourself the trouble."

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for nearly 10 years and hated the thought of switching pills (insurance purposes). I started Tri-Sprintec about 5 months ago, and I cannot tell the difference between the two. I was concerned with the nausea, vomiting, and weight gain that others talked about but had none. My face is still clear as ever, my periods are still very light, and I feel fine! Definitely worth the change!"

For Birth Control "I'm so glad I decided to Google this medication and found these reviews. I thought I was going NUTS! My hormones are out of control on this medication. Like others, my pharmacy switched me to Estarylla from Sprintec. I was fine on the Sprintec, but on this stuff - I've had HORRIBLE mood swings, my acne is out of control, spotting, nausea, weight gain, headaches. I thought I was pregnant! I'll be switching as soon as I can."

For Birth Control "In April of 2019, I started Norethindrone. I experienced bleeding almost every two weeks, so I asked my doctor what I should do. She changed me to Estarylla in September. Within two months, my periods were regular again. Like clockwork, my period starts on the Wednesday of my “period week” and usually lasts until Sunday or Monday. Also, I used to get migraines very often, and now I rarely get them. I do have to say that I take my pills in the morning at 7:30 without eating, and I do experience slight nausea around 2-3 occasionally. Other than that, I’ve had a positive response to this medicine."

For Ovarian Cysts "I got on this pill to stop from getting ovarian cysts; while I don't think it completely solved this problem, I found this pill very helpful overall. I had very few side effects: no spotting, no nausea, no loss of hair, but I do still get cramping before my period. It shortened my period to about 5 days, and it always comes when expected. I have tried two other types of pills, one being Yaz, and I came back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo because of the fewer side effects. It's a great pill, and I haven't had any problems with it. I've been on it for about 2 years."

For Birth Control "I've tried 5 different brands of birth control pills over the past 8 years, but I've finally found the one. Although I experienced some horrible nausea during the first 2 months, I've always been susceptible to nausea when starting a new brand of BCP, so I know to wait at least 3 months for your body to stabilize. I'm now on my 4th month of TriNessa and I feel GREAT. No more nausea, no more mood swings - just crazy clear skin and a babyless womb. Best of all though, and the reason I gave up on all the other brands I've tried: TriNessa does not make me depressed. The other BCP made me suicidal and anxiety-ridden from the moment I started them. Ladies, our bodies are different but don't lose hope on the BCP that's perfect for you."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Sprintec for a month now. The first week and a half I started taking it, I had the worst mood swings (crying profusely, suicidal thoughts, depression), but that was it really. Those feelings only lasted that long. The only times I felt nauseous was if I didn't eat a meal at all before or after taking the pill. (I believe if you eat a good-sized meal right before or right after taking it, you'll be fine). My breasts feel slightly sore and are a bit more rounded and full now (which I'm curious to see if they get to another cup size, me being a 32A right now). I feel like this pill is effective and the side effects are mild and not too bad."

For Birth Control "I’m one of the many women whose life was upended when Mononessa was discontinued in the US. Sprintec, Estarylla, and Mili have all failed as substitutes. I’m guessing there are new-generation additives in birth control pills (BCP’s) that are straight-up toxic. But Mili was the worst. Took it for two days and experienced unbearable nausea, stomach pain, and bloating. I got off it, malaise persisted an extra day along with ovarian pain. A huge disappointment because there are no other options available in the generic Ortho Cyclen formulation."

For Acne "I was very skeptical about trying this pill because it is a generic, and I have heard negative things about it. I have been on it for two months, and so far, no weight gain, no nausea, no mood swings, or any other of the reported side effects. The best part about this pill is that it completely cleared up my cystic acne after only a few weeks. I have been on a couple of other pills with horrible side effects. Find the pill that works best with your body. This one seems to work best with mine."

For Birth Control "This medication makes me sick to my stomach. I have to take this pill at night or I'll be nauseous the whole time I'm at work. I went out of town one weekend and forgot my pills, so as soon as I got home, I took two to catch up (in the morning)-worst mistake of my life. I ended up throwing up at my desk. Besides the disgusting effect this medicine has on my stomach, it's okay. It's cheap, it definitely works, and if you can figure out the right time for you to take the medicine and always remember to take it, I don't think you'd have any problem. The nausea is bad though (to me), I actually feel sick at this moment, and I know it's from the pill I had to take this morning. I actually got on here to see if it's just me. I don't see as many posts about getting sick from this pill, but it's my worst side effect."

For Acne "I am 18 years old, and my dermatologist prescribed TriNessa for acne. I have taken it for 3 months. I have experienced pretty much every side effect on the list. I feel nauseous for every day on the first week of the pack and on most other days too! I have only gained a few pounds because of the extreme increase in appetite, but I've lost the weight since. My breasts have grown a whole cup size, even though I was already a D. And my breasts are always sore to the touch. I have occasional mood swings that make me very sad at times. On the bright side, my acne has gotten significantly better, and my hair is shiny and grows really fast! Also, my insurance completely covers it, it is literally $0! That's a plus as well!"
