For Birth Control "This medicine got a three-star rating only because I'm not pregnant. These pills make me so sick 24/7. I'm so tired, moody, irritable, nauseous like you wouldn't believe, and I've never had terrible cramps until I started taking this medication. I'm currently waiting for a response from my doctor about switching!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for a week. No side effects (no acne or weight gain) except I have realized that I do get moody or irritated quicker, but I try to manage it. Also, the first 3-4 days of taking the pill made me really nauseous after taking it, but then it went away after I ate something sweet. I’ll update again once I complete the month and get my period."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for years, and my period is extremely regular, and I get it on the same day every month. Acne has always been an issue, but it has definitely lightened up a bit since taking this birth control. If I miss a pill, my body lets me know. I get very nauseous and experience cramping just because I am so reliant, in a sense, on it. Also, I never had any significant weight change at all while taking it. I also have gone up a cup size too! I've had no trouble with Tri-Sprintec and would recommend it to others."

For Birth Control "I am 21 years old and was on Cyclen for 3 months when I was diagnosed with blood clots in my lungs (pulmonary embolism). I have since been informed that this birth control put me at a greater risk due to its higher levels of estrogen. Luckily, they were caught in time, and I am currently being treated for them. My symptoms started out as an aching/stabbing pain in my mid/upper back that was worse when I ate. Then, a few days later, my breathing started to feel rather heavy. I was also coughing and burping a bit. I also had a bunch of other side effects during the course of taking this pill, including breast pain, headaches, nausea, and major mood swings! I don't normally write reviews, but I would feel horrible if this happened to anyone else!"

For Birth Control "Contrary to others, I have not had a negative experience on Sprintec. First time on birth control, and I have been on it for about four months now. The only changes I have noticed are some breast growth, about one cup difference. I have lost about 8 pounds (again, contrary to my expectations), but I am not sure if this is from the birth control, it seems to be correlated with when I started the pill. I am a very active person already, so that was kinda odd. Acne has not really improved, although I wish it would. In the beginning, I did have some nausea if I took my pill without food. I don’t know if increased depression is correlated to the pill, but it could be."

For Birth Control "This is my third type of birth control pill over the last 4 years. I've gone on and off birth control, mostly because I'm not sexually active very much unless I have a boyfriend. Currently, I'm on my 5th packet. Pros: CHEAP! $9 at Wal-Mart. No taste. Easy to swallow. Periods reduced to 4-5 days when they were lasting 7-8 days before. Cons: Bad nausea and headaches on the first 3 packets. Slight breast tenderness upon resuming a new packet. Usually only lasts for a couple of days. Delayed periods. On my old birth control, I would get them the next day after stopping a packet, but now it takes 3-4 days for it to start. Painful cramps for the first day of the period. Overall, I'd recommend it. All types of birth control will give you some of these side effects."

For Birth Control "I have not had really any problems. Except I feel nauseous all the dang time. It's terrible. Besides that, I have had clear skin, and I used to have a 7-day period. And it slimmed down to 5, which is no problem. But being nauseous all the time is terrible."

For Birth Control "I started Mili so I could just skip my periods. Everything was fine with the first pack, but once I started my second pack, it started spotting, heavier and heavier into a full-blown period that hadn't stopped, and it has been about to be 2 weeks. I have felt depressed and have gotten painful breakouts on my face, and I don't have acne. I also feel nauseous and bloated most of the time. I'm going to give it till the end of the month, and then I think I will stop because I'd rather have a period than go through this."

For Birth Control "I decided to start taking birth control for the first time and decided on Mili. I was really nervous after seeing all of the negative reviews, but I decided to give it a try for myself. I haven’t had any issues with it, so if you’re nervous to take it, just try it and decide for yourself if it’s right for you. I’ve now been on it for almost two months and only experienced nausea for the first week and a half. I haven’t had any weight gain, thankfully. I have been able to still lose weight on it, as I’ve been in a calorie deficit and working out. My period on the inactive week was definitely different than usual, it was a bit lighter and not as painful as it was in the past but still lasted about a week. I personally haven’t had any issues with mood changes either. I can’t comment on any long-term changes since I’ve only been on it for a short amount of time, but so far it’s been good."

For Birth Control "After reading horror stories about birth control online, I was very nervous to start taking the pill. I decided to try Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and it was the best decision I could have made. I never gained a single pound, my mild acne disappeared and my periods became regular, light, and short. I should also add that I have unprotected sex regularly and have never had a pregnancy scare. This pill worked wonderfully for me, and I honestly believe that it's the best birth control out there. CON: I only experienced one side effect from this birth control pill: every month, after taking the first pill of the pack, I experience intense nausea. THIS SIDE EFFECT DOES GO AWAY after time."

For Birth Control "First off, let me say that this birth control was effective in preventing pregnancy for me, despite many negative side effects I experienced taking this pill. I was prescribed Ortho Cyclen to lessen period cramps, abnormal bleeding, and to prevent pregnancy. I can say the mood swings involved with this pill were miserable to deal with. I felt depressed or angry 99% of the time on this pill, but I wanted to give it a long enough time to see if my hormones would regulate. Not only was I sad, irritable, and experienced low libido, but I felt restless and nauseated from the hormones. I would not recommend this pill to anyone, and that is my humble and honest opinion."

For Acne "I have had acne since I was 12 (I'm 21 now), and this did not clear me up completely, but my acne is definitely better, they aren't as big or painful, less cystic acne. The first week it, I was very emotional and nauseous, but when it passed, everything was fine. I also did not gain weight, nor did my hair get thinner, or I don't notice because I have naturally thick, curly hair. I do recommend Ortho Tri-Cyclen."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for about 5 days. Previous to this, I’ve been on various types of birth control, but I’ve never had side effects like this. It has given me such bad stomach pains and nausea that I’m currently sitting in a hot bath at 5 a.m. because I got desperate to feel better, and I couldn’t sleep. Birth controls definitely have different effects on different people, so don’t let this turn you off, just be careful."

For Birth Control "Overall, I’m happy with this Mili birth control pill. I switched from Junel Fe after seeing my doctor for pelvic pain. My doctor put me on Mili continuously due to a suspected hormone imbalance. And she was right. The first three-week transition was rough; acne, tender breasts, anxiety, nausea, irritability, but it actually cleared up on my second pack. I feel great now and have little to no cramping. I only had breakthrough bleeding once during the switch (since I’m skipping placebos). I plan to keep using it as long as nothing crazy pops up. The only thing I can note is that I’m more emotional from time to time, but I think that’s the ebb and flow of the month anyway. I do have headaches a little more often, but nothing severe."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Ortho Cyclen for two years when my doctor accidentally gave me Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo instead of my normal pill, and I decided to give it a try. It was a terrible idea! The first month I was nauseous and dizzy, my thoughts started feeling fuzzy, and I could feel myself turning into an angry person. After three months, I was still constantly angry and couldn't think clearly. Not to mention the weight gain! I look five months pregnant! So today, I got my prescription of Ortho Cyclen, and I can't wait to start taking it again. I've tried many types of birth control, and if you're a woman who has troubles with hormonal birth control affecting your mood and brain chemistry, I would definitely go with Ortho Cyclen! Love it!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this a week ago (for the most obvious of reasons to take birth control), and I am writing this from my couch, still sick from it. I have NEVER had a bad experience with medicine like this. I have been nauseated, dizzy, my head hurts, and I'm throwing up. The side effects have lessened slightly, but the first night I was sick about every 20-30 minutes, literally all night. I would not recommend this at all to anyone ever."

For Birth Control "I love Tri-Sprintec! It has regulated my cycle and cleared up my skin. The first couple of months, I was a little nauseated when I took it, but that has gone away. This pill helped to balance out my hormones and actually helped me to lose weight. No complaints other than the 1-2 nights of nausea I experience when I start a new pack. Oh, and it's FREE."

For Birth Control "I'm on my third week of Sprintec 28 and haven't had a single negative side effect. I started using it on the first day of my period, which also happened to be a Sunday (lucky me). I love it! As long as there are no side effects and nothing changes, then I'm staying on this pill forever. The only thing I noticed is that there was still light bleeding even after my period ended, but nothing big. No headaches, nausea, vomiting, mood swings, cramps, stomach pain, breast tenderness/pain, or anything! It depends on the person, you can't just judge it based on the reviews because I was scared to try it. I read so many horrible reviews, but I gave it a shot, and I am pain-free."

For Birth Control "It's almost been 1 month of taking this birth control. At first, I was experiencing nausea for 5 days, then it went away. I have noticed weight gain, and I am constantly bloated! I've taken anti-bloat meds, but nothing seems to help. I work out and eat super healthy, and the bloat sticks, and the weight can stick also! I am thinking of dropping this birth control."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I have felt nothing bad or negative with this birth control. I switched from the Depo to this, and I felt intense nausea with the Depo, and I feel absolutely nothing now with Tri-Lo-Marzia. Not only does this birth control keep my period on a consistent routine, but my breasts have grown a full two cup sizes within the two months that I have been on Tri-Lo-Marzia. Honestly, my body looks great, and I feel great; this works SO much better with my body than the Depo."

For Birth Control "I decided to write this review because I read through reviews for Sprintec before going on it and was immediately nervous about taking it, as they were mostly negative. I started Sprintec because it’s cheap, and my doctor said it could help my skin. The first couple of months taking it, I definitely noticed that I was nauseous here and there, usually in the morning, but it was completely bearable. I also felt like it caused a lot of mood swings. I stuck with it, and by month 3, I wasn’t noticing any bad side effects anymore. My skin is clear, besides a few breakouts around my period. The only reason I decided to switch pills today is because recently I feel like the pill has been lowering my sex drive gradually. Other than that, Sprintec has worked awesome for me. Sticking it out for a while does make a difference. Many of the negative reviews I read were from people that have only been on it 1-3 months. Everyone’s different, give it a shot!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for a month now and have not had a problem with weight gain, but for the first 2-3 weeks, my skin was terrible! It cleared up after that, however. I don't feel hungry as often because I almost constantly feel nauseous and have headaches. The most notable side effect is the cramps. Even though I'm not on my period, I have terrible cramps that make it feel like I am! Got to my first week of white pills and no period."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Sprintec, this is the worst birth control ever. At first, I really liked it because this was my first experience with birth control. Until month two hit. Oh boy, I was bleeding for a month straight. Horrible. I wasn't even on my placebo week, and I bled everywhere with huge blood clots. Not to mention, when I wasn’t bleeding, I was still experiencing the worst cramps ever. After 8 hours of taking it, I would be so unbelievably nauseous. Don’t get me wrong, it worked for one of my friends, but not for me."

For Birth Control "I've been using it for 6 months. Before I decided on this brand, I did research and read reviews. What I realized is that most BCs have the same negative reviews, and you'll never know how your body will react until you try it. I chose Femynor because of my acne. Month 1: Slight nausea (4 or 5 on a 10-point scale), no new acne except right before my period. Normal menstrual cycle, loss of appetite, decreased sweet craving. Month 2: Slight nausea, loss of appetite, decreased sweet craving, bloating, no acne breakouts, normal menstrual. Month 3: Slight nausea, bloating, loss of appetite, 3 whiteheads before my period. Weight loss from 3 months of decreased appetite. Months 4-6: No nausea, normal appetite, no acne at all, normal menstrual. So far, I am really happy with this birth control. I haven't had any major side effects, no weight gain, no anxiety, no depression, no mood changes, no irregular periods, no accidental pregnancies, and, best of all, NO ACNE!!!"

For Birth Control "I am writing this review because when I initially was prescribed Sprintec and read these reviews, I was mortified about what I read. Everyone reacts differently, but since I've so far had a pleasant experience, I think it's important to know that for some, it is not horrible. My periods have been shorter and lighter, my PMS has improved, and my hormonal cystic acne is completely gone (a struggle I've had since college 5 years ago). My only complaint is that my first month I felt extremely bloated. However, by the end of month 2, I feel like my body has finally adjusted. I am back to waking up with “morning skinny.” :) And a positive/negative I could leave (depending) is that my boobs definitely grew. All in all, I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. I would say in the beginning I had very slight nausea, but I found taking this pill at night (I take it at 7 pm) definitely helped."
