For Birth Control "Do not take Sprintec. I've been on it for two weeks, and I'm quitting already. This medicine makes me extremely nauseous and gave me prolonged headaches. On top of that, it made my face break out horribly, and I've gained 7 pounds. No, just no. Take a hard pass on this one and try something else."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control for four years, and I started taking it when I was 16. It was my first brand of birth control, and I plan to stick with it until I want to start trying for children. I have never had much of an acne problem, but with this pill, my face is always clear. I never had any of the nausea others have written about. I do have to agree that, like others, my cup size has grown over time, and I am pleased! As far as weight goes, I don't believe this pill has changed me at all. I have stayed the same weight since high school. My hormones are crazy only the week before my period. Overall, this is a great medication for some and a not-so-great medication for others. I would not blow it off right away. I would give it a shot."

For Birth Control "Today is my 8th day of taking Tri-Sprintec. Let me start off by saying it’s been 7 years since I’ve been on any type of birth control. I’m 31 and have two daughters, ages 6 and 2. I decided to start taking the pill again to regulate my periods and, obviously, as a contraceptive. I originally came here for the reviews on the pill’s weight gain, since I’ve been pretty bloated the last 5 days (not to mention the miserable constipation and cramping). Other than that, I used to suffer from daily headaches/occasional migraines, and I haven’t had one as of yet! My husband says he’s noticed my mood has changed for the better! My random mood swings are no more, but honestly, my headaches were the main reason for my misery. My skin has cleared up dramatically, and I haven’t been drowsy or exhausted during the day like I used to. Overall, I’d say so far, so good! I’ll post an update after I finish my 30-day pack. Lastly, I want to add I take it right before bed to avoid any nausea."

For Birth Control "I took Mononessa for years and never had a problem. One month, my pharmacy gave me Estarylla, and I immediately noticed a difference. When I called my doctor to let her know I didn't want the Estarylla and wanted the Mononessa back, like I've always had, they just acted like I didn't know what I was talking about, since it is 'basically the same drug.' Once Mononessa was taken off the market, my doctor started prescribing me Estarylla on the regular. It does what it needs to when it comes to birth control, but the side effects are absolutely awful. I have major nausea, headaches, and depression when taking this birth control. I also found it had heavily decreased my sex drive and has given me severe mood swings. I quit taking the drug for a month or two, and all symptoms went away. I don't think I'll ever take it again after I finish this month."

For Birth Control "I really didn't like this Estarylla birth control. I was initially on Femynor (LOVE), but one day I picked up my prescription and I was given Estarylla. I called my gynecologist, and the nurse said it was a generic brand and shouldn’t affect me much, but it was AWFUL. I was on it for two months. I probably didn’t give it time to settle in, but Femynor never gave me this many issues so early on. I was very depressed, unmotivated, broke out, tired, experienced a lot of anxiety attacks, and super nauseated. I know everyone is different, but for me, it was the worst. My period went rather smoothly, I will say, but other than that, AWFUL! I recommend Femynor 10/10."

For Acne "I've only been taking TriNessa for a month, but so far I love it. I was getting very self-conscious with my acne, and I was originally going to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen, but my doctor recommended TriNessa. I was VERY worried after reading some of these comments, but I'm so glad I gave it a try! Sure, my skin is not perfect (it's not a magic pill), but it's CONSIDERABLY clearer, and I have not had any nausea, headaches, or dizziness. My breasts have gotten a little sore (a couple of times), but it's a small price to pay for clear skin. Try TriNessa."

For Birth Control "I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for a year, during which I was having intercourse very regularly. It was the only form of birth control I used, and although I did miss a few pills, my menstrual cycle was always on time, although I often lightly bled during the third week as well. It had the added benefit of clearing up all of my acne, when previously I would get zits on my chin, forehead, and back. The side effects were mild: a nauseous feeling when I first woke up, and constant vaginal dryness."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Sprintec for two years, mostly to clear acne and shorten my periods, and I never had any issues with it. I really liked it. I’ve taken one month of Mili and just started my second pack today, and my mood was all over the place. I can’t stop crying, and it makes me nauseous in the mornings because I take it at 10 pm before bed, and my anxiety has increased dramatically. I'm so confused because I was told it’s the same ingredients, but I do feel a difference with this one than before. I’m probably going to try and stick it through the rest of this pack, and hopefully, my body gets used to it. It could be possible that this is not the medication causing it, but it’s the only real change I have made. Definitely, make sure to not take on an empty stomach."

For Birth Control "I'm 5'6" and 114 lbs. Very good pill to take if you're tiny and new to hormones. I recommend starting it the night of your new cycle to help your body get used to the hormones. Take it at night with a snack to fend off the nausea. STAY HYDRATED. You're going to confuse thirst with hunger on this pill. Drinking more water will combat bloating, weight gain, and fatigue. It takes longer to recover after workouts. My mood has improved drastically, as well as sex drive and wetness. My acne got worse, but I'll give it a few more months to straighten out. Love it so far."

For Birth Control "I have never written a review before, but I just had to share how awful this was for me. I took this pill for only 2 days, and each time, I threw up hours later. I was so nauseous that I couldn't sleep. I stopped taking it after 2 days because I felt so sick, and days later, I still felt sick. I had no appetite for 3-4 days after and still had nausea and stomach pain. I was living off ginger ale and one small meal a day, which was all I could stomach. I thought maybe I had the stomach virus, but after reading other people's reviews, I saw they also had the same problems. I felt completely fine before taking this. If you have a sensitive stomach like myself, then this might not be the one for you, but everyone is different. Good luck."

For Birth Control "First of all, everybody is different, and people tend to write bad reviews rather than going out of their way to write good ones. If you want to try this pill, then you should, but I personally have mixed feelings about this birth control. I was on a different pill then switched over to Tri-Lo, which has been a better experience than my previous one. I do not experience nausea or horrible headaches. Since I've started birth control, I have gained 5-10 pounds, but I'm not sure if that is directly from birth control. I do get bloating mostly right before my period, but most women do anyway. I have always had a regular cycle, and this pill did not affect that and actually made my period much lighter with very few cramps. The only big complaint I have about this pill would be the depressive feelings and mood swings. I am not one to usually have terrible mood swings, but I definitely experience them on this pill (worse with PMS), as well as frequent tiredness and feeling unmotivated."

For Birth Control "So I read all the reviews here for the most part before getting my birth control by mail. I was really nervous and worried, but I still ended up taking them. I felt a little nausea in the morning after taking them at night, but nothing serious. I have PCOS and I started BC for that reason. I have started losing weight, and I think it's from the BC balancing my hormones since I have not gone on any diet or changed my routine. I recommend this BC. I am about 300 lbs and dropping, and I am also of Latin heritage. I hope this review helps someone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This pill has been a godsend for me. I am 42 and have a six-year-old and a 3-year-old and have had hormonal issues since having them both: extremely heavy periods, horrible cramps, menstrual migraines, severe bloating and breast tenderness, heavy mid-cycle spotting, and cyclical insomnia. After one pack of these pills, I am sold. Lighter period, no cramps. No nausea, spotting, moodiness, and I am finally sleeping better. These have been the best pills I have taken during my reproductive years so far. I hope this helps some patients, as many of these reviews can be negative."

For Acne "I started this pill barely a month ago (I get my period next week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed), but I love it. I read so many terrible reviews before I started it, and I was super anxious, but now that I've been taking it, I actually like it more than the Mononessa that I had been on. I lost the weight that I gained from the Mononessa, my skin stopped breaking out aside from a few pimples here and there, and it doesn't make me nauseous like Mononessa did. I used to have cystic acne around my jawline and sometimes on my cheeks, and I've gotten 1-2 since starting, but they went away in literally a day's time. I was honestly amazed. I'm a pharmacy tech, so I knew it wouldn't be much of a change, but I didn't think it would be this much better! If you're unsure about it, give it a chance just because everyone's bodies are different. You could be one of the few like me that it works miracles on. :)"

For Birth Control "I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome 2 months ago by my OBGYN. Earlier this year, I began to experience a number of odd symptoms, such as: 1. Severe mood swings 2. Skipped periods 3. Extreme bloating 4. Mild acne 5. Diminished libido. I was put on Sprintec, and the first 2 weeks were HELL. I experienced nausea (lost 5 lbs). I couldn't keep anything down, it was out of control! Mood became worse. I was ready to call my doctor and ask her to put me on something else, but after the nausea subsided (around week 3), I decided to complete the 3-month trial period. Currently on Month 2, and after my first period, I felt better than ever! Mood, energy, and sex drive are at an all-time high. I will definitely stay on Sprintec."

For Birth Control "I have honestly not had any problems with this pill. I have had a little more nausea, but that’s normal with ANY birth control. My first period while on the pill was really light. My second period was quite heavy. But my third one was so great and light. Before I started the pill, I was using ultra tampons and changing them every 3 hours. This caused me to become anemic, so I was put on the pill. I’ve been on the pill for 3 months, but I’m loving it. I also read through the reviews and got freaked out, but everyone’s body is different. Everyone reacts to different pills in MANY different ways. I did miss a day, but I just doubled up the next day. One time I threw up RIGHT AFTER I took the pill. Try not to get food poisoning! Lol! I read a lot about how peoples’ sex drive dropped, but if anything mine has gone up...ALOT. Give the pill a try, and if it messes you up, then it’s obviously not the pill for you. Try not to lose the pill either. It’s VERY easy to do!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This has been the worst experience! I am 39 and just got put on birth control for the first time due to PCOS. I took Junel for 3 months with no major side effects other than almost constant bleeding, so I was switched to this to control the bleeding. I’ve taken this for one week and can’t get out of bed. I’m getting hot flashes/chills and very nauseous. I have no appetite, and thinking about food makes me gag. I’ve alternated between constipation and diarrhea. My anxiety is through the roof, and it takes effort to leave my house. I get dizzy/shaky and feel faint every day, and my heart is racing. I am going to stop taking this and hope I can get back to normal."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for a week and one day. I had had irregular periods and extremely heavy blood flow to the point of being hospitalized for being anemic and not able to stand. (Yeah, it wasn't the best experience.) However, two days after taking the pill, my bleeding stopped and all the pain from my period had gone away. However, the nausea was so bad. I vomited every few hours and was really hungry. Luckily, I'm doing much better because my body has finally gotten used to the pill! Don't give up just yet! It'll get better after a while, you just have to give it time!"

For Birth Control "I've tried a lot of birth control pills, and nothing has worked as well as Sprintec has for me. Three months in, and I feel great! The first few weeks, I did experience some nausea, but I have not had any other bad side effects. My skin looks amazing, and I am very acne-prone. My periods have gone from 10 days to 3 days. I do not have cramps on this pill. I highly recommend trying it if you have bad acne and long and heavy periods."

For Birth Control "Just finished my second pack. For the first month, I had headaches and nausea consistently, so I started to take my pill with food and in the evenings. My period has been on time, completely painless (I had debilitating cramps previously), and very light both months. During the second pack, headaches and nausea subsided-and previously my skin was constantly breaking out, and I haven’t had a breakout in over a month, which is amazing! My boobs grew about a cup size, but I haven’t put on any additional weight (however, I do exercise regularly). I struggle with anxiety and depression in general, but have not noticed any changes or crazy mood swings, which is something I was worried about-if anything, I feel a bit more stable than usual due to the steady stream of hormones in my system."

For Acne "I have taken TriNessa for about 8 months, and during maybe the first 2, I felt some nausea, but it quickly cleared my acne up and also helped with my heavy, painful menstrual cycle. I also noticed that I have a smaller appetite now, and I have lost 15 pounds during the summer, but I'm not complaining."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Tri-Linyah for 4 years. I have never gotten pregnant on this pill. My boobs got a cup size bigger on it, and I was 115 pounds before I took it, and after taking it I am 125 pounds. My periods are on time and lighter on the pill. The nausea subsided about 2 months after first taking it. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it gave me mood swings and lower sex drive."

For Birth Control "I'm about to start my third pill pack, and I love this birth control. Both months my period started the third day of the placebo pills. I have little to no side effects. Sometimes I feel a little nauseous, and my appetite has gone down. But the effectiveness is great! My boyfriend and I have had sex a few times without any other protection. The pill really does work, and I'm so thankful it's so reliable. I do take my pill right to the second at 1 o'clock every day. My experience with Sprintec is wonderful, and I plan to stick with it as my birth control."

For Birth Control "I was extremely scared to start taking this pill because of all of the reviews, but I saw one review that made me change my mind. The girl said, 'Everyone's body reacts differently. The only way to know how yours will react is to try it.' So I did, and now I feel the same as she did. This birth control is great. I only had symptoms the first 2 days, and that was only nausea and one time vomiting. After that, I never felt nauseous again. I've been on it for about a month now, and I've experienced some weight gain, but mostly in all the right areas (breasts, butt, and hips). Because of where the weight gain is, I suspect it's the pill because normally my weight fluctuates. If you're worried, just try it. The worst that could happen is you stop using it."

For Birth Control "GOD, THIS BIRTH CONTROL IS AWESOME. As my first birth control pill ever, I can say this pill has been super good to me. Much lighter periods and no cramping. No pregnancy scares. No more acne except for the occasional pimple. My sex drive hasn’t changed. No nausea or headaches. I’ve been on it since the beginning of January, and I’m more than happy with my experience so far. :))) Don’t listen to all the bad reviews!! It may work phenomenally for you."
