For Birth Control "So I started Sprintec about 6 months ago to help clear up acne, and it worked. I was freaking out because I didn’t want to gain weight, but I really wanted to clear up my acne. The first two months were difficult. I was nauseous often, especially at night. I was very hungry the first month, but I got back to normal hunger levels after that. I gained some weight, mostly in my boobs. I would definitely say if you are hesitant about going on Sprintec for the weight gain, do not let that hold you back. Your body will normalize after a few weeks, I promise. Trust me, I did not want to gain weight, I have had an eating disorder in the past, but it is worth it. My skin is so clear now. Do not let the weight gain hold you back!"

For Acne "From someone who is new to birth control - I tried Yaz and legit almost had a meltdown. I was super depressed and gained weight. Estarylla SAVED me - there is more ethinyl estradiol and a different progestin (norgestimate). I feel like my normal self. My skin is GLOWING. I didn’t gain a pound, I’m actually losing weight. And I don’t have any headaches or nausea. I’m starting my 4th month now! It really is true that different birth controls work for different bodies. My body has always been extra messed up and extremely sensitive and odd. For some reason, this pill, that everyone else hates, has been my savior!!! Anyone with cystic acne, PCOS, and oily skin might wanna give this a shot. Don’t immediately rule it out."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I took Sprintec for 7 months, and after seeing these reviews after a MONTH of bleeding (brown blood for the most part), I am quitting this pill - my gyn tells me to keep taking it, but I refuse when this could risk my health. It hurts my vision, gives me cramps, induces nausea, and I'm hoping quitting will calm down my bleeding and reset my normal menstrual cycle. This will probably be the last birth control I ever take. For all the ladies wondering when the madness ends after quitting - I'll keep in touch and refresh this review when it stops and let you guys in on my quitting journey."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control, Sprintec, just under two months ago. This is my first one. I have two days left this month, and I’m quitting. I have a history of stomach issues, and my periods definitely aren’t fun either. I threw up the first night I started Sprintec. I have not been myself since I started it. My stomach hurts, and I’m nauseous every day. I have really bad headaches almost every day, if not every day. I can’t sleep. My emotions are awful. I feel so depressed and anxious. I struggle to find the motivation to do anything or even live. I wanted my periods to be less painful. Now I look forward to them every month because I feel better when I’m on it than when I take the pill for the other 21 days. I desperately just want to be myself again. I don’t even know who I am anymore. I’m sure this is different for everyone, but I just can’t handle it anymore."

For Birth Control "Okay, so I had to put a review for this pill just to offer some relief for other girls. In my experience, I had taken this pill before my period and read that you could only be protected if you started EXACTLY on your first day of your period. Yeah, it sounded stupid at the time, but basically, if you take it 5 days in a row, you're protected. It was my first time taking birth control and using it to have sex with my partner. I've had a lot of unprotected sex with my boyfriend, so the pill really works, but it's very easy to get sloppy or lazy taking the pill, which has resulted in 2 pregnancy scares. Now I'm more careful because I'm a uni student and still want my freedom. It's very important to really consider having unprotected sex because it can change your life in an instant. The best time to take this pill is in the evening because you'll avoid the nausea while sleeping in my experience. The bloating can get really bad sometimes, so that's annoying. As far as boob pain, it's mild."

For Birth Control "I was on the Xulane patch for a couple of months, and my period never regulated. I was also very sad and tired on Xulane (to the point where my family started to notice changes). I switched to Tri-Sprintec one month after stopping Xulane. I did have some side effects when starting the medicine, e.g., nausea and fatigue. Overall, I really love this birth control. So far, I’m not pregnant. Remember, everyone can experience different side effects! Don’t let these reviews scare you. Give your body a chance!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sprintec for 3 years now. It has worked really well for me. Before this, I would get very moody, get menstrual migraines, have really bad cramps, and when I was 18, I started getting nauseous/sick every other month within the first couple of days of my period. Since taking Sprintec, I feel my mood has greatly improved. I no longer get sick/nauseous, my cramps have become more than tolerable, and I noticed no increased acne or weight gain. I haven't experienced any yeast infection/urinary tract problems with this. However, every girl will react differently to different birth controls. If it doesn't work for you, don't worry; just call your doctor and discuss some new options. Eventually, you will find something that works for you."

For Birth Control "AWFUL!!! Was slowly causing liver damage!!! By the third month mark, I began to have upper stomach cramps and pain to the touch. I also had nausea, vomiting, severe fatigue, weight loss, & a body rash (not seen but felt). I wasn’t sure it was the birth control, so I took myself to the ER. After several weeks of blood work, my liver enzymes were up into the 500s. My doctor was about to do a liver biopsy, but I started my period and took myself off of the birth control. After a week of not being on it daily, my stomach pain disappeared, I no longer was sick! Two weeks later, my liver enzymes are finally back down to almost normal! I would never recommend this birth control to anyone!!"

For Birth Control "Within the 1st week I went from a happy, optimistic girl, to a very unhappy, unstable individual. My experience: crying for no reason, complete misery, severe weight gain, antisocial, exhausted, nauseous, dry eyes, high anxiety, NO sex drive, painful sex, cramping, bloating, irrational behavior."

For Birth Control "I will say, I was very hesitant to try this after reading all of the negative reviews, especially since this was the first time I've ever been on birth control, but keep in mind that not everyone reacts the same to medication and contraceptives. I am currently on my 4th pack, and my period starts at the same time every month and is a lot lighter, and I also don’t cramp as bad as I used to. As far as the birth control aspect of it, it definitely works if used correctly. On my first pack, I did experience a little bit of nausea and mood swings, but now that I’m used to it being in my system, I don’t experience any side effects. I recommend it."

For Birth Control "I have had absolutely no problems with Tri-Sprintec. I don't have any side effects at all. No weight gain, no mood swings, no depression, no anxiety, no nausea, same sex drive. (No increase in breast size either - I WISH I had that side effect!) I feel exactly the same taking this as I did not taking any birth control. The only difference is my periods are lighter and shorter, and my cramps are no longer severe. By the way, I was really scared to take this because of the negative reviews I read! But before you decide this is a bad pill, give it a try. Every woman's body is different, and your experience will just depend on your body!"

For Ovarian Cysts "So I've been reading other reviews for this, and I really think that people should wait until after the first month to decide if this is a horrible birth control because OF COURSE we're going to have the bad side effects the first few weeks! Our bodies are adapting to a new drug so just be patient! The first three weeks I had nausea, mild mood swings, loss of appetite, and EXTREMELY sore and swollen breasts. Since then I've been side effect-free. I've been on it for three months now, and I have to say it's amazing! I take it for PCOS, and because of my PCOS, I would be having periods every 6 months, and they would be KILLER! I would literally be in bed for days, but with this birth control, I have mild, short periods. It's fantastic. I definitely recommend it."

For Birth Control "This birth control for me has only really done me a few favors, and that’s being free and not getting me pregnant. However, that being said, the side effects I can’t justify. I recently turned 18 and started taking the pill. My first month was fine, but the more I take it, the worse I’m getting. I’m having constant anxiety and panic attacks. I always feel extremely worried, stressed, and overwhelmed. I’m very irritable and impatient, not to mention it gives me horrendous headaches and recently extreme nausea and vomiting. Not to get into too much detail, but just absolutely projectile vomiting everywhere. Feeling very feverish, hot, and cold sweats, not to mention for period cramps, it does nothing. My cramps feel just as bad as they were before, and my period is just as heavy and maybe even a little longer. My sex drive has definitely decreased, and sex is painful, I nearly bleed a little each time. It’s causing me to go crazy, and I have trouble even sleeping with some of the symptoms."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I really enjoy this pill. When I first read the reviews, I was terrified, but I still went through with taking this pill for the first few months. In the first month, I found myself getting slightly nauseous every time I took the pill and that I was getting moodier. But after the first few weeks, everything balanced out, and I'm completely fine. I'm sexually active, and my partner and I have unprotected sex regularly. No baby here! I'm currently on my fourth month taking it, and I feel fine. I've had no significant changes in acne (actually, I think it's improved my skin), my weight has stayed the same, my mood is under control, and my libido is the same as it's always been. Just wanted to leave a good review here for Estarylla."

For Birth Control "I’m on the 2nd month of taking Femynor. I had nausea and headaches the first 4 days of taking it. I’d take it at 11 pm, but I’d wake up nauseous in the middle of the night. But it wasn’t bad to the point of throwing up. I will say I felt more affected emotionally. During the 3rd week, my emotions felt all over the place. I have a history of anxiety, and it did aggravate it. I cried for no reason, felt more anxious than usual, and some paranoia. This lasted about a week. During the last week of taking the sugar pills, I did not get a period. I only had very light spotting for 2 days. This is a big pro for me. No PMS or cramping at all. Yes, it was rough the first few weeks, but the side effects have worn off after the 1st month. This birth control is also inexpensive for me, I pay $8 monthly. Don’t let the reviews scare you, give it a try. It takes some time for your body to adjust. I hope it works for you, I will update at the end of month 2."

For Birth Control "I've never written a review, but I feel so strongly about this pill I need to share. I've been taking Sprintec for four years, I got switched to this one because of a shortage. I've been taking this pill for three days, and I already want to stop. I've had a headache for three days, been so nauseous every time I eat that I have to lay down and close my eyes. My anxiety has been so much worse, and I don't feel like doing anything-going to the store, doing my schoolwork, or even going on drives with my friends because I’m scared I’ll be so nauseous I’ll throw up. I never want to take this pill again and will be stopping immediately. If I could rate it -100, I would."

For Birth Control "As of today, I have just started my first placebo pill in my first month of Tri-Sprintec. For the first week or two, I noticed increased nausea and breast tenderness, the nausea subsided, but the breast tenderness still lingers (just not as bad). I got on this birth control in June to prevent pregnancy, so far, for the whole preventing pregnancy, it's wonderful. Periods come right on time, and I had no clue of her arrival (no cramps, moodiness, etc.), which I love! Since I've been on it, the past month I have actually lost 16 pounds, and I am quite alright with that. I have decreased appetite, which is also a good thing because before I started birth control, I would eat every chance I got. Overall, this pill is great! You just have to try it out for you!"

For Birth Control "I have had a great experience with Sprintec, actually. I have been using this for about a year and have not felt the side effects I used to feel with other birth control pills. My mood is pretty regulated, I never got sore breasts, my appetite was normal throughout, and I have not felt nauseous once. I haven't gotten pregnant either, so I will continue use for as long as it's available and working in harmony with my body. 10/10."

For Birth Control "Got on Sprintec in 2018, and it was great for 6 months. My breast got bigger, I am a C cup, and I went into double D’s. But I got tired of the periods once a month, so I went and got an IUD (Liletta). My cup size went back to normal, had the IUD for 6 months, and got it removed because it felt weird not having a period. I just felt off without it. Now I’m back on Sprintec, and I’m having the same thing occur with my breasts. I enjoy having the bigger boobs, it’s just the soreness on the sides that comes with it. I did feel nausea every single day. Sprintec is a really good birth control, you don’t get pregnant, and you’re basically in control of it. Everyone’s body is completely different, so just because you read one review that gives a negative saying shows how it reacted to their bodies. Go talk to your doctor or nurse about it before choosing. It took me about 4 months to decide and do my research before I decided on getting something long-term until I’m ready to have kids."

For Birth Control "The positive I had on this medication was having great, clear skin. But the negatives very heavily outweigh the positives. I've been on this for a month and a half and already have to stop taking it. I get constant headaches, my mood swings are off the wall (affecting my boyfriend and I's relationship), nausea, difficulty concentrating, irrational thoughts, and depression. Switching off of this immediately. If you are prone to depression, DO NOT take this pill!"

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. I've been on it for almost five months. I've been on two other pills before. They made me have severe mood swings and horrible depression, so my doctor put me on this one. I love it. My breasts have gotten bigger as well, which is a HUGE plus for me. Also, the only thing I use is these pills, no condoms or anything else, and I have a very active sex life, and I haven't gotten pregnant, so it is doing a great job. It has given me a higher sex drive too. I have two problems with it, but the pros outweigh the negatives. Firstly, I get nausea when I start a new pack. It usually lasts 3-4 days. It also gives me heavy periods. Though, they only last 3-4 days."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking this Femynor birth control pill, I was nauseous every night, I had the worst cystic acne on my cheeks and chin, and my periods were super heavy and long. I’m now on the five-month mark of taking this pill, and I’ve lost 15 pounds, my skin is clear, and I don’t feel nauseous anymore. My periods are heavy the first two days, and after that, they are super light and only last five days. I also never have spotting between periods. The key is to stay patient when taking this pill! The side effects were awful at first, and I wanted to stop taking it, but I’m glad I pushed through because out of the many birth control pills I’ve taken, this has to be the best one."

For Endometriosis "Tri-Lo-Sprintec was my first birth control, and I was prescribed it by my derm to help with my acne, and I almost had a panic attack after reading these reviews on my first day. I actually had a good experience, and I had been on it for exactly one year. I struggle with mental illness, so I was afraid that I'd feel worse, but that didn't happen; in fact, I felt so much better after a week. I wasn't having mood swings, and my emotions leveled out. It helped my cystic acne. My skin is clear at this point, with two small blemishes a month. I didn't gain any weight, nor experience nausea or loss of appetite. I have an autoimmune thing, so I was surprised that my body didn't react badly. I actually felt so normal that I didn't realize how good it had been doing for me, so when my prescription expired a month ago and I was without, my body went crazy. This last period was the worst; it was so bad I couldn't leave the bed. If you're on the fence, give it a try."

For Birth Control "This pill has been great. It keeps my period very regulated, and I went up a cup size within the first couple of months. I have suffered from moderate acne since I was a teenager, and since taking the pill, my face is completely clear! I will occasionally get a pimple around the time of my period, but NOTHING like I had before. It is magic! The nausea was mild-moderate during the first few months, and I still occasionally feel mildly nauseous (nothing unmanageable, though). My appetite has changed as well (I don't crave sugar as often as I used to). I feel like it helps stabilize my mood in general as well, but I do cry more often than I used to (during period time). All in all, great method!"

For Birth Control "First, I would like to say that this is the first time I've ever been on BC. I'm 25 years old and I'm in a serious, committed relationship. I've been looking at these reviews on the BC pill Mili, a pill that I was prescribed. I'm taking it for my irregular period, cramps, and heavy periods. I do not struggle with acne, never did. While reading the comments, it appears to me that a majority have previously taken another form, or at least a type of BC pill before starting Mili. More often than not, your body will go whack because of the new hormones you are introducing, not to mention some other forms of BC may not mix well after your body has been regulated on a different pill for a while. So, keep that in mind. I just started taking Mili. Overall, I'm not experiencing anything major like headaches, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, breakouts, etc. Do not let others' reviews scare you. No one said that taking BC was going to ever be a 5 star experience."
