For Birth Control "So, I was perimenopausal-heavy and irregular periods, painful ovulation, anxiety, mood swings, depression, acne, etc. I started a low-dose birth control to try and regulate my system. I take Taytulla continuously and don't break for the 'period.' Before Taytulla, I was on LoLoestrin, then Microgestin. I like the inactive ingredients in Taytulla. LoLoestrin had too low estrogen for me (10 mcg) and dried me out horribly. My moods and energy are better. It took my body three months to adjust. Sex drive good. No weight gain. My breasts increased one cup, and I had to buy new bras-I don't really like this side effect. I am now DD. My anxiety is probably the same."

For Birth Control "Love it! Best BC I've ever been on in the past decade. It works perfectly for my body. My moods are better than ever, my period is light, water weight gain subsiding after a few months, and was easy to get on, unlike some higher estrogen pills that have given me bad side effects, i.e., headache, intense breast tenderness, mood swings the first 3 months - this didn't happen with Taytulla. It was the easiest transition I've ever had. I love it! I have PCOS, so I'm thinking it may be helpful for those suffering from this. I would definitely recommend this BC despite what some reviews say, I've had the opposite experience. I feel much more even with my moods throughout the month and days, unlike usual with or without birth control."

For Birth Control "I have never used any birth control pills before this. I only used it for 3 months, but it made me anxious, and it was impossible to sleep. My emotions were so bad that almost every day I was asking my bf if he was trying to break up with me. I was sleeping less than an hour a night. I was also getting two periods a month. I just stopped, and I can feel my emotions leveling out again. I’m hoping my periods will go back to normal. I’m going to ask my dr about switching to something else."

For Birth Control "I've only been taking Taytulla for two weeks. I do have depression, but Taytulla has intensified it tremendously, as well as made me super emotional. My skin is always clear except for the week before my period, but ever since I've been taking Taytulla, my skin is COMPLETELY broken out. I was put on the pill because I am extremely anemic, and my periods usually last 9-14 days. The pill did reduce the time I am on my period for, but that's it."

For Birth Control "I’ve used only one other birth control in the past, and this has to be the worst experience I’ve had. It has been over half a year trying out this birth control. I tried to wait it out to see if my body would adjust, and it's unbearable anymore. I already struggle with anxiety, and this birth control made it so much worse. I’ve developed depressive episodes and extreme mood swings while being on this. At times, I even had suicidal thoughts, which has never happened before. Be very careful with taking this if you already have struggles with mental health. Not to mention, libido was non-existent. The only positive is my periods were light, and I gained no weight, but this was not worth it. Upon getting off, all the symptoms I’ve described went away very fast. I would not recommend this birth control at all."

For Birth Control "This was my first time on birth control, and I had an awful experience. My acne came back, and I had awful, awful mood swings. Also, my migraines got worse when I just fixed them. Another thing, I gained 5 pounds in a month from this. Highly don’t recommend!!"

For Birth Control "This birth control is awful. Took it for 15 days and started having SEVERE anxiety throughout the day. (Side note: I take anti-anxiety medicine and have not felt that horrible since my primary care and I got my anxiety under control in Nov-Jan). I also became an angry, emotional basket case. The side effects ended within three to five days after I stopped taking it. My OB said the b.c. hormones affect each person differently, depending on which rx, hormones, and dose you’re on. I was switched to Beyaz and smooth sailing 10 days in."

For Birth Control "I have been on several birth control pills as well as Depo, and Taytulla is the best! I’ve been on it for about 7 months now. No breakthrough bleeding, weight gain, and super light periods that only last a day or two. I previously suffered from intense cramping, mood swings, weight gain, and acne, but not with this birth control. There’s definitely breast tenderness and growth, but I’m okay with that. Not every birth control is for everyone but definitely worth a try."

For Birth Control "I've only been taking this since November of last year, so about 3 months. The first month was rough and I got my period lighter. The second month I noticed a slight weight gain and bloating, with a plus side of my acne clearing and my period was even lighter. Yes, I have anxiety even before the pill. Has it made it worse? I thought so at first, but I don't think so. The first 3 months is your body getting used to things. The bloating went down, and so far no period. My mood swings are normal and my anxiety went back to being occasional. Then again, I take my pill in the morning if that makes a difference. :)"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Taytulla for birth control and specifically to help with my really heavy periods. I read the reviews on this website a month before I actually had the courage to start this pill, and I can say that my experience has been a positive one. No mood swings, no headaches, a VERY light 2-day period and clearer skin. I haven’t don’t have any noticeable weight gain, however, I do find myself more hungry more often, but I am good at differentiating between bc hunger and actual hunger. If you were prescribed this medication, please don’t let the other reviews scare you! Each birth control is different for everyone, so give it a go!"

For Birth Control "I usually don’t write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience while on this birth control. I was on a different birth control pill for 5 years. The first week, I didn’t really notice anything different. The second and third weeks were absolutely horrible. I was so anxious and emotional, I literally wanted to cry all the time. At first, I was going to just keep taking it and give it another shot, but after randomly crying on my way home from work, I switched back to my old birth control and hope I start feeling like myself soon. If you have anxiety or depression, I would be cautious about taking this pill."

For Birth Control "At first, I was worried about taking my first BC, Taytulla. I saw all the bad reviews but took it anyway. In the beginning, I was nauseous for about a week, nothing ginger tea couldn’t fix. I then started spotting heavily and had bad anxiety and mood swings. I’m now on my fourth pack, and spotting is gone, I feel like my normal self again. Obviously, in the beginning, your body is going through a lot of changes and takes a bit of time to get used to it. Also, a con of Taytulla is it's expensive even with insurance."

I read the reviews before taking it and was hoping that I would have a more positive experience. Vaginal dryness, mood swings, bloating, depression, and anxiety. For Birth Control "I never write reviews on anything, but I must say something. After just 3 days on this pill, it made me INSANE. I had SEVERE anxiety and panic attacks, literally could not sleep, and ended up going to the hospital because I thought I was going to die. I’ve never dealt with anxiety or depression, I consider myself a very happy person that enjoys life. This pill made me question everything. I had taken birth control in the past, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for about a year and didn’t really experience anything crazy besides mood swings and a lot of cravings. I also tried Balziva for about 6 months, it just made me emotional and retain water. To anyone trying Taytulla, please be careful, ESPECIALLY if you suffer from anxiety and depression."

For Birth Control "I had an ablation about 6 years ago, and my periods stopped but still had cramping. Cramps became so bad that I ended up in the ER on several occasions. The doctor suggested birth control, and I tried Taytulla. Horrible experience. Acne (my skin was clear before), severe mood swings and uncontrollable crying, heart racing, headaches, incredibly low sex drive, and just a general feeling of not caring about anything. I gave it a try for 5 months. Switched, and it has been life-changing, cheaper, effective, and I actually want to be intimate again. Only positive thing I would say about this is it did stop the cramps. Everyone's different, but this was a terrible experience for me, and I'm so happy I switched."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this drug for about 2 months. I am finishing up this pill pack and then getting off of it. The first week I took it, I was constantly nauseous and also very emotional and irritable. That started to lessen over the weeks until I took the second pack and the same thing happened. I am on my last week of the second pack and the nausea is back in full force. There are several foods I can no longer stomach. I also have gotten very bloated, have painful pimples from this medication, and have a lot of vaginal dryness, which is very uncomfortable and makes intercourse painful. As someone who has suffered from depression for most of my life, I have begun to feel sad and tired for no reason. I am constantly hungry and nauseated at the same time. While the pill seems to be doing its main job of preventing pregnancy and I understand it takes the body time to adjust, this has just been way too much for my body. I cannot wait to get off this and feel like myself again."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life. For the first three days of taking it, I felt unbelievably awesome. I had a lot of energy and I felt generally happy. Around the 5th day of taking this, I started to feel off but continued to take it. A few more days passed and I began to feel extremely emotional, could not stop crying, and started having severe anxiety and depression that interfered with my daily life. I would lay around and cry all day, every day. I had no motivation to do anything and felt trapped in my own mind. Aside from the emotional side effects, I completely lost my appetite, had severe cramps, extreme nausea, and abnormal bleeding, which went on for 16 straight days. I stopped taking the pill after 16 days. I've been off the pill for 4 days now and I have yet to get my appetite back, but my mental state is finally starting to improve again. This pill ruined my life and strained my relationship. Thanks a lot, Taytulla, you suck."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. I have bad constant cramps and terrible mood swings. I have never been so anxious and depressed in my whole life. My boobs are constantly sore, and my mood swings are ruining my relationships with those around me. I haven’t felt like myself since I started taking this pill. It also made me anemic. For Birth Control "This is my first time being on birth control, and I must admit I can't wait to get off of it. The first month on it was horrible, I felt like vomiting the 2-3 weeks on the pills. I was spotting light in the beginning, and then it got very heavy with bad, bad cramping, which lasted 18 days. I thought this pill would reduce cramping, but instead it gave me horrible cramping. Also, this pill turned me into a different person. The mood swings are kicking me very badly. Now that I'm in two months on these pills, it has gotten worse. I've had bleeding again like the first month and bad cramping that lasted 2 weeks, and it is horrible. Now that I am finishing the 2nd pack of this pill, I've gotten very sick, and my appetite went down. It made me bruise easily and very emotional. I'm only on it for 3 months, and I can't wait to get off of it, and after that I am no longer taking birth control after all that. The only good thing this Taytulla pill did for me was no weight gain, and it made my face very clear, no acne."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this medicine for not even a full 2 weeks, and I’ve experienced terrible issues. This is my first birth control I have ever been on, and if I could give this product a 0 rating, I would. I’ve experienced extreme nausea, I’ve even thrown up a few times, bad headaches, mood swings, etc. As soon as I stopped taking the medicine, I threw up that night. For Birth Control "I don’t recommend this pill. The cost is hearty, and the side effects are not worth it. I was on Taytulla for 2 months, and that was enough for me. For the first 2 weeks or so after my period, I’d get borderline migraines. Nothing at all would remedy them. I noticed changes in my mood, and I’d snap a lot. In fact, my boyfriend and I were doing great, but for the past 2 months, it was nonstop arguments. Stuff that didn’t even need to be argued about! I stopped the pill a few days ago, and boom, we’re back to lovey-dovey. It’s absurd how some BC pills can affect your brain like this!"

For Birth Control "I like the fact that it was effective as birth control, and I had no period while I was on it. I also had terrible back acne. Immediately after starting Taytulla, it went away. There were a few bad side effects. I was waking up nearly every day with horrible headaches. I rarely wanted to have sex with my fiancé (like sex once a month, if that), and I was angry often. After a while, it dawned on me that maybe the lack of sex, headaches, and mood swings may be due to this pill. I wasn’t sure, but with the okay from my husband, I decided to stop taking it. Almost immediately after stopping, I noticed I stopped waking up with headaches, I had sex with my husband three times that week, and I felt happier. Long story short, if you’re single and just looking to cure acne or have lighter periods, then it might be for you. It didn’t have any awful side effects on me, such as blood clots, hair loss, weight gain, or suicidal thoughts. But it had enough negative effects to be irritating."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking this birth control (first timer), I was nauseous for a few days. As another stated below, I thought it was food poisoning. I was more irritable and emotional than usual, bled for 2 weeks straight. I've now been on it for 8 months, and my mood swings are better, no nausea, no major weight gain, no scary acne. I do notice an increase in appetite, but I’ll take that over a baby right now. Overall, I feel great."
