For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for one cycle. After reading some of the reviews on this type and similar birth controls, I was a bit apprehensive to start. I'm giving this birth control a 9 out of 10, as I have not been on it long enough for a 10. So far, I love this birth control! My side effects have been so minimal, it's like I'm not even on birth control! I have experienced mild headaches here and there, and some nausea, but other than that, I've been feeling great! I got my period on cue on the third day of the inactive pills, and I had no idea it was coming because I had zero PMS! My period was very light, and I barely had any cramping! I had unprotected sex the first month, and obviously, didn't get pregnant, so I'm very pleased! Highly recommend."

For Birth Control "I had used Alyacen 1/35 for a while, but for some reason, I started getting the generic version of it, which was Cyclafem. A week after I started taking it, I started feeling more on edge and anxious, along with nauseous and lightheaded, with an overall crappy and irritable mood. I would cry for no reason, and I would constantly feel that fight-or-flight sensation, with my whole body being tense all the time. It was not pleasant, so I told my doctor to prescribe me explicitly Alyacen. After going back on my regular one, I felt so much better and calmer. These pills made me feel crazy."

For Birth Control "I was taking a different brand of birth control (same dose of hormones) when my pharmacist refilled it with Cyclafem. Within days, I was having migraines and I was bloated, nauseous, and, scariest of all, deeply depressed. Because I had gotten a 3-month supply, I couldn't go back to my old brand without going to the doc, getting a new script, and paying out of pocket. The side effects of Cyclafem were so bad that, after 5 weeks, that's what I did."

For Birth Control "The pharmacy filled Cyclafem for me after I’d been taking Alycen for years. They put a sticker on the box saying that it was the same medication that I’d been taking, so I assumed that the brand name had changed and started using the new pack. Less than a full week in, and I’ve been feeling nauseous with diarrhea, especially at night (I take the pills at bedtime). My skin is broken out like it gets during my period, only this is the week after my period and the first week of the hormone. I’ve been more anxious as well since I started this medication. I know the hormones are supposed to be the same, but I’m definitely not tolerating it in the same way! I called the doctor and pharmacy to request that I go back on the other pill."

For Birth Control "I started this pill two weeks ago. I was having bleeding and spotting problems, so they told me this would help. It stopped the bleeding and spotting. As soon as I started taking it, my face broke out. These pimples are massive! Hybrids! I was hoping I was just adjusting to the hormone, so hopefully it will stop. I haven’t used it as a contraceptive because my doctor recommended I wait an entire month! She said two weeks is standard, but wait 4 weeks to be safe? I also experience nausea at night. I wake up out of my sleep because I’m so dizzy and nauseous. Breasts are extremely tender. Maybe it’s ovulation."

For Birth Control "My doctor told me to take this birth control, and I have been taking it for four days now, and I feel horrible: nausea, headaches, and I feel weak, and I always sleep. I just want to know if it gets better or if any of you ladies went through this."
