For Birth Control "The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because I didn’t get pregnant. I only took this for 2 months, and it was the worst experience. I was switched off of Junel for this, and I’d rather go back. In month 1, I had breakthrough bleeding with mild cramping on week 3, still got my period. I had just switched, so I thought it was just a side effect. WRONG. Month 2, I had breakthrough bleeding at the beginning of week 2 with awful cramps. I’m 2 days away from placebo pills, and I’m STILL bleeding with cramps. I’m an emotional person, but this was a different level, my poor boyfriend. Breakouts weren’t terrible, but worse than breakouts of the past. If you can avoid taking this, avoid it."

For Birth Control "I actually love Vienva. I'm only on it to prevent pregnancy, which it's doing a great job at so far. My appetite stayed the same. I didn't experience any nausea, headaches, cramps, or anything like that. I didn't bloat either. My boobs grew, which was just a little sore, which didn't bother me. Different pills have different effects on people. I hated Sprintec, Aviana, Ortho Evra."

For Birth Control "I’ve now been on it for a month. No weight gain, if anything, it makes me eat less. My skin seems clear. My boobs feel like they have changed, although I see no difference. It doesn’t cause me to be tired either. The first week, I was extremely nauseous and had light cramping. Now, no nausea or cramping, but I started the pill when my period was supposed to start, and it delayed it for a week or so. Now I am on my period and have been bleeding nonstop for 10 days straight. I'm not sure if this is normal, but if it doesn’t stop by tomorrow, I'm gonna quit the pill."

For Birth Control "I’m am to start my 2nd month on this prescription, and I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary besides my period being very, very light, almost like spotting. My cramps are mild and last a few minutes, and my acne isn’t as bad as it usually is around the time my period comes. Overall, my experience is pretty good so far, but I will be back if anything changes."

For Birth Control "I was terrified after reading the reviews, but overall the pros outweigh the cons! The first few days of taking it, I had cramps, spotting, and mood swings, but this evened out after a week or two. I've gained a couple of pounds, but it's all water weight and definitely nothing noticeable on my body. One downside is I NEVER had any acne before I started taking this, and it's definitely caused that to increase, so if you're looking for something to clear your skin, I'd look somewhere else. However, before taking this, I experienced absolutely terrible, debilitating mood swings for weeks, and this has helped me feel stable and even happy again. I've been on for about a month, and I'll update more symptoms if any occur, but really it depends on what you're after from a birth control."

For Birth Control "Vienva is a good birth control, very effective, but I've been on it for 6 months and I get my period twice a month. The 1st period of the month lasts a few days, and the 2nd period lasts up to a week, if not longer, with way worse cramps than the first period of the month. The GYN says my body needs to get used to it, but I'd figured 6 months was enough time."

For Birth Control "I’ve had a great experience with this birth control! Everyone says they got sore boobs and spotting, but I had zero side effects. My period is back (which I wanted) on time, and the cramping is a pretty moderate amount. Perfect for me."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control! I have had minor side effects. Nothing crazy. I did lose weight, but I also have major cravings. I would say, for me, the first day after starting a new birth control pack is I get super irritated. After that, I'm totally fine. I am someone who has horrible period cramps. I had minor cramping, and my period was super light."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 2 years, and honestly, it's been great. It made me lose 15 pounds, and it made my period regular and decreased it from 8 days to 5. Minimal cramping and a little bit of mood swings, but not horrible. It does give me acne around my jawline and my chin, but I've had acne before this birth control, so it wasn't anything new for me."

For Birth Control "My first month went really well, I used to get my period twice a month for about 5 days each, and it made my period once a month, 7 days each. Month 2, I’m feeling nausea, cramps, headaches, and a little bit of overheating. It’s making me feel so bad and crummy. Not pregnant though, or so I hope."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for almost two months now. This is my second time taking it, as the first time wasn't very pleasant. But, committing myself to it this go-around, I've noticed some side effects such as: spotting, cramping, bloating, headache, breast tenderness. With any birth control, these are common. I've read many reviews on this pill, and some have scared me, but everyone is different. It hasn't been bad for me this time, besides the side effects I listed above. The low hormone brand brought me in, as I've been on the highest dosage for years. And this pill has worked best for me."

For Birth Control "I just finished my first month using the Vienva after changing from my last pill. Since I can remember, my period cramps are bad, but this first month using Vienva made my cramps TERRIBLE. I’ve never had them this bad ever. Other than this, I haven’t had any problems."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Vienva for almost 3 years now, but recently opted for a new BC. My anxiety has progressively gotten worse, my boobs are always so tender (and have grown from C cup to DD). I have irregular bleeding even when taking the pills regularly, and worst of all, I developed night sweats! I haven’t read anybody talk about the night sweats, but I saw one review mention hot flashes. I am literally 27, so I’m nowhere near menopausal age. Oh, the worst for me was the terrible cramping during rough sex! I remember when I first switched to this BC, the second time I slept with my now boyfriend I started having the most intense abdominal pain I had ever felt. He had to give me Advil and place a warm towel on my stomach. I should’ve switched right then, but I loved that I didn’t get dried out like with my old BC. Pros: I didn’t get acne, headaches, nausea, or pregnant (thank God)."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Vienva almost a year, and it’s only gotten worse. For the last two months, I have had cramps most days, and even though I had my period that month, I will still have brown discharge for a week or two after my period. I even got STD tested because I was so paranoid, and I’m clean. It didn’t help with acne at all, if you want that. I go through Pill Club, and it was nice to try out for about nine months, but I am in pain and cannot stand the brown discharge for a week or two following, leading me with only one week where I’m not technically “bleeding.” I give it a 2 because although the side effects are absolutely terrible, at least it did its job in protecting against pregnancy."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me from Sronyx to Vienva due to a price increase of Sronyx. I was hesitant, but the pharmacist told me that they were the exact same thing and I shouldn't experience any changes. The first dose, I felt normal. The morning after my second dose I felt terrible. I had severe cramps that forced me to call out sick from work. I spent the day at home with increased anxiety and feeling depressed, something I hadn't felt in years. I genuinely thought I was going crazy. I decided to look up more information on Vienva, where I saw that I wasn't alone in these feelings. It definitely seems like something in this pill aggravates anxiety. Definitely wish my pharmacy would have informed me of this possible side effect. Overall, everyone's body is different, but this pill really did not work for me. I will be stopping this pill tonight and going back to my old b.c. pill."

For Birth Control "This birth control has made me feel worse than I have ever felt before. The first few months were okay, I noticed a slight mood change, but after about 4 months, I noticed my anxiety and depression skyrocket, my hair is thinning, my cramps are much worse, and so much more. I truly do not recommend Vienva."

For Birth Control "The only good thing I can say is this pill lightened my periods so I wasn’t considered anemic anymore. It also helped a little with the severe cramping. However, the emotional toll was real, and I’ve been battling severe depression and anxiety since taking it, and after taking it every day, on time, for almost 8 months without missing one single day, I got pregnant, and now I’m about 35 weeks with a little boy."
