For Birth Control "I've actually been on Seasonique for 10 years. I got on Seasonique when I was 10 (because of bad cramps and ovarian cysts). Now I am 20, and I am still on this birth control! I choose to skip over the sugar pills to not have a period, and not once ever have I had random bleeding. I haven't had any acne in 10 years and have not experienced any hormonal issues. Also, it has kept me from getting knocked up, which is the best part."

For Birth Control "While on Seasonique, I didn't notice the changes my body went through until I started doing some research. I loved only having one period every 3 months, but the periods were painful-bad cramps, lower back pain the first 2 days. The first 4 months were fine, then I started a month and a half long period, but I stuck it out hoping it would be better. Then things were going good until I started bleeding during intercourse. I went to see my doctor, and she told me it was probably caused by the birth control. Also, since I started taking it, I would get the sensation that I would faint, and I have fainted once while on it. Had a little weight gain, it really messed up my hormones. Guess my body didn't like it!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Where do I start? First pack was great. No spotting until the very end of the second month, then full-blown period during the middle of the third month of my first pack (three months of pills per pack, just to clarify). So, I thought I should go ahead and start my second three-month pack and treat it like I'm having my period even though it technically was too early. Well, I haven't stopped bleeding for about a month now, and the bleeding has gotten worse, passing huge clots and all of the lovely things that go along with that. Called my doctor, and she said to stop and start taking a monophasic BC pill, and that should stop the bleeding and get my uterus back to normal. Hoping this will work and won't have an eternal period!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the Seasonique birth control for 2.5 months. It's been terrible. I started spotting within the first month, which wasn't a big deal. It went away. But then it became more frequent, and anytime I'd get stressed, I'd get a period for 5-6 days. If you miss a pill by an hour, you get your period. I have now been bleeding every day for the past 3 weeks. I had to buy reusable/washable panty liners because I've destroyed most of my underwear. This past week, I got super stressed, and I've been bleeding extremely heavily. Not just bleeding, but passing massive clots. I'm terrified. I just decided to stop taking this pill and stopped halfway through the 3rd pack. 4 periods a year? Misnomer. This is having your period every day."

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonique for almost 3 months, I haven't had any spotting, however, really bad acne on my T-zone. In the past, I have had maybe 2-3 spots at a time, but now, 3 months in, I have multiple spots, triple or more than usual. I am totally attracted to 3-4 menstrual cycles a year, not to the idea of the acne, however."

For Endometriosis "I took Seasonique for only two weeks, but I quit because of the severe and immediate mood changes I experienced while on it. I have an anxiety disorder, and when I started taking Seasonique, I started feeling more irritated/anxious. After that, my mood plummeted into a depression. I felt like crying or screaming all the time. I also developed acne, breast tenderness, and extreme bloating. When I stopped the pill, I started a period even though I had a period two weeks prior. When I stopped taking Seasonique, my mood improved. I have taken the pill before and never had this reaction. I am now going to get the Mirena IUD to treat my endometriosis/adenomyosis."

For Birth Control "I have been using Seasonique for a little over a year now. The first month and a half on Seasonique is great, but then the spotting starts. For the past 2 1/2 weeks on the last pack, I have been bleeding. It has given me acne and very painful cramps. I am switching to another birth control."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking this pill 8 years ago. It was awesome. Light periods that lasted only a few days! Recently, on the third month, spotting started. I figured the period was coming early because of stress. About 3 weeks later, I’m having the heaviest period I’ve had in YEARS! Painful cramps, clots, and just so much bleeding! I am miserable!"

For Birth Control "After taking this medication, I suffered cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST = blood clot in my brain) and stroke. I am 35 years old, was on birth control since 15, was on the Depo shot most of the time. After having my kids, I decided to take this oral contraceptive. And now I suffer a huge brain clot. I’m on blood thinners, being monitored weekly, was hospitalized for weeks, and looking at a year or more recovery. Please be careful what you put into your body. I learned the hard way. Always thinking that won’t happen to me, and it did."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on Seasonique since grade 10 of high school because my periods were very irregular. For the first year and a half, it worked perfectly with no side effects whatsoever. But now, every third month of the pack, I spot heavily the whole time. I have brought more liners and pads than I ever would have had to. I absolutely love having my period only 4 times a year, but now it's like I'm having a month-long period every 3 months. I am considering switching to something else because I don't know if I can keep living with it. If anyone has an explanation for why this is happening, please share it with me."

For Birth Control "I have only just begun taking Seasonique, but boy, is it effective. But who could get pregnant when your mood swings are off the charts and you have absolutely no sex drive, and even if I tried to be interested, it wouldn't be worth it because it's too dry. Seriously... my boyfriend and I hate it. Trying to wait it out and see if there is any improvement."

For Endometriosis "When I was 22, I found out I had endometriosis, and my doctor recommended this to regulate my periods. I was giving samples since I didn't have any insurance. I took it for two years until they no longer had any more samples, and I still didn't have any insurance and was unable to pay for it. I absolutely loved being on this. It was so nice having a period that only lasted three days and only four periods a year. Yes, when you first start taking it, you do have some breakthrough bleeding, which is annoying, but stick with it because once you're over that, it is great. Now I'm back on it, and my periods last a max of two days. I love it and so much less pain from endometriosis."

For Birth Control "I'm not the type of person to write reviews, but I had such a bad experience with this pill I felt like I should write about it. I have been on it for a year, and about a week ago I quit it. I started getting headaches every day. I felt weird, like not like myself. I'm generally a really happy person. Being on this birth control, I actually felt really sad a lot. I cried often for no reason, like really cried nonstop for hours at a time. I'm an active person, I go to the gym about three times a week and always have a lot of energy, but on the pill, I felt so tired. It's also expensive. I quit in the beginning of a new pack. I don't care, I had to get off of that. Now that I am off of it, I honestly feel amazing."

"Seasonique made an incredible difference to my life. It got rid of my PMDD symptoms, no more hysterical mood swings, no more anxiety or depression before my period. I have classic PMDD, I’ve had it my whole life, my mother and my sister have it too. My mother’s symptoms stopped when she had menopause, but it ruined her life - job, relationships, etc. My symptoms always stopped when I was pregnant, as there was a constant supply of estrogen. I’m so glad I found something that helps. I’m writing this post to maybe help someone else, don’t rely on nature to help you if you have PMDD, see a female doctor who can help you stabilize your hormones. Good luck!"

For Endometriosis "I've been on this pill for about 3 or 4 years. Up until about 6 months ago, this pill was a blessing. I have been on everything else (Depo, a laundry list of other pills), and nothing worked as well as Seasonique. A few months ago, I gained about 30 pounds out of nowhere, and I lost about 20 pounds with a lot of hard work, but no matter what I do, I can't get under 130. I have severe headaches, and recently I've been bleeding through and not just spotting, like full-on period. On top of that, I was cramping severely and having stomach problems. My husband and I just decided to quit the pill and see what happens, and let me tell you I feel much better. I would say yes to this pill except for the side effects I started having."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this drug because I have painful cramps and pretty heavy periods, and also I have symptoms of PMDD. On the first month, my boobs got a bit swollen and tender, and I had less depression, which was cool. The 2nd month was cool, other than occasional spotting. Then on the 3rd month, I made the mistake of forgetting my daily pill, and my period started, and it’s been happening for about 7 days so far, and there’s no sign of it stopping. The cramps are bearable, though, my flow isn’t as heavy either, but I still have some depressive symptoms and mood swings, but it’s not as bad as before I took this drug. I don’t think it’s terrible, though, and I would take it again since it did reduce my cramps."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started spotting 3rd week starting Seasonique generic Camrese. Bleeding was very minimal, spotting the first week. But I am now on my 9th day and started passing clots. My periods before starting Seasonique were at most 5-6 days long. I've never in my life experienced bleeding for so long. I started this BC in hopes of not having so many periods, and since I was very irregular, I wanted to control it. The only thing so far I've experienced is more bleeding! I'm getting married in 3 months. What am I supposed to do if this bleeding doesn't stop?! Does anyone have suggestions? Otherwise, I'm thinking of just stopping altogether."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for about a month and a week. I had no bleeding or spotting when first taking this, which from reviews I've read I'm worried if that's normal. I do have trouble taking it on time but do pretty well for the most part. I have experienced nausea and a lot of fatigue. I'm tired a lot! I took a pregnancy test after the first three weeks, and it was negative. I just took it to make sure. Being tired with nausea does make me nervous with this new birth control. But so far, it has been pretty good to me. I hope this is helpful for other women who are on this medication. These other reviews have helped me! Thank you, ladies!"

For Birth Control "This is by far the best pill. I was taken off it before but just recently got back onto it. My periods on this pill were non-existent. Also, no cramps. Having 4 periods a year is fine by me. I recommend this one to anyone. It is the best!!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I say do not buy this birth control. I started taking this to control my abnormal periods. After the first month being fine, I started to bleed in the middle of the pack. This was around July... It is now September, and I am still currently bleeding. I will never use this product again, save yourself the money and trouble."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My GP recommended Seasonique because I was anemic and experiencing very heavy blood flow each month. In the year that I took this medication, I felt depressed and even suicidal at the beginning; gained weight as expected and had a hard time losing weight while on it. At the end of the first 3 months, the flow was heavy for 8 days! I kept with it in spite of menstrual cramps, higher appetite, heavy bleeding when I had my period, and really annoying mood swings. After one year, I decided to stop because it's easier to take iron supplements than take this pill. With 2 children and at peri-menopause age, I wouldn't recommend this product to any woman at any stage of life. Too unpredictable and not worth the unseen side effects."

For Endometriosis "For the first 2 months of taking it, I didn't stop bleeding, gained 10 lb (I've been 125 lbs for the past 10 years), got zits! (Maybe had 5 zits in my whole life), then started this pill and I'm a bloated, bloody, zitty beast! I threw the pills in the trash today. Enough is enough! Horrible medication."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Start taking the medication to stop it. But it never did. I've been on the pill for 2 weeks now, and it seems like I'm bleeding more than when I was not on the pill, having huge blood clots and bleeding uncontrollably. For Birth Control "I've been on this BC for a little over a year now. The first few packs were awesome! No mood swings, no breakthrough bleeding, period always on time, smooth sailing. My last two packs have been a nightmare. I'm moody, I'm getting breakthrough bleeding often, and it actually scares me because I always think something is wrong if I'm bleeding and it's not time for my period. My period was over a week late on my last pack. My period isn't due to come for another 3 weeks now, but I'm currently bleeding. Not happy. Will definitely be seeing my doctor about a new pill. Maybe my body has decided it's not strong enough anymore."
