For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "After reading all the horrible comments on sites about this medication, I thought I would add my positive ones. I have been on it a little over 4 months now. As of the 4th month, I stopped all bleeding. Very few side effects at first, maybe being tired (I was anemic too), a little nausea and cramps right at first, but getting past all that, the bleeding finally stopped. This is a wonderful medication. Don't let the negative comments impact you. Each of us reacts differently. I have fibroids, and the bleeding was very bad. They didn't know if this would help or not, worth the shot. Glad it is so far. Just don't give up at first, even if you want to. Give it at least until the 4th month for your body to adjust."

For Birth Control "Most of these reviews are terrifying, so I wanted to share my experience... 1) One of the biggest differences with tricyclic BC (3 months) from the once-a-month kind is the likelihood of spotting is much greater. On the first pack, I spotted months 2-3. (Yep.. 2 months pretty much). That being said, it was so light I could've probably used the same panty liner all day and been fine. Also, my BF isn't a child and wasn't bothered by it. I found it mostly annoying. The second pack, I'm still spotting, but only for 1 month, also very light. I suspect it will not happen on the next pack. Minor nausea was my only other side effect. No libido change, no weight gain, mood change, etc. Not perfect, but I love it. It's going to be different for each person."

For Endometriosis "I am in my third month of taking this, and absolutely love it. The first two weeks I had headaches and slight nausea, so I switched to taking it at night. So if you try this, don't give up, it went away for me. I don't have mood swings, which I did before taking it. I don't feel like I get bloated either. I've had some slight bleeding at the end of my second month, but the doctor said that was normal, that my body has to get used to the pill. Love the fact I don't have heavy periods anymore. I would recommend it. Looking forward to not having a period every month. My mood is stable, and I feel happy. As far as acne goes, I can say it's not giving me any problems."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Have had a period with cramps since Sept 2019. Started Seasonique to try to get rid of my abnormal bleeding. I had heavy periods, migraines, nausea, and cramps prior to starting, and weeks of spotting. Now I'm on my 46th pill of Seasonique and am STILL experiencing moderate bleeding, must wear tampons or pads daily since Sept, and I have nausea, upset bowels, and horrible cramps. Sometimes I can't even stand up. My doctor said to keep taking it and finish the pack and it will get better. WILL IT? I have not stopped bleeding for months, and it's so difficult to explain to a spouse why I feel sick and am STILL also bleeding."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for about a month and a week. I had no bleeding or spotting when first taking this, which from reviews I've read I'm worried if that's normal. I do have trouble taking it on time but do pretty well for the most part. I have experienced nausea and a lot of fatigue. I'm tired a lot! I took a pregnancy test after the first three weeks, and it was negative. I just took it to make sure. Being tired with nausea does make me nervous with this new birth control. But so far, it has been pretty good to me. I hope this is helpful for other women who are on this medication. These other reviews have helped me! Thank you, ladies!"

For Birth Control "I'm about to start on the placebo pills, and I'm intensely considering not starting the new pack. When I first started this birth control, I had mild nausea and light cramping. Since then, I've gained 10 pounds, I'm tired, nauseous, and bloated all the time. For me, it's been all the fun pregnancy symptoms without actually conceiving (Doctor confirms my ego is not preggo), so I'm seriously debating stopping it. My lifestyle three months ago is no different than my lifestyle now, with the exception of this stinky little pill, and I can say that I am definitely unhappier now."

For Birth Control "I was on this pill for 4 years! It was my first birth control I was ever on, and I originally got on it because I didn’t want to have periods anymore. Not having periods was the ONLY good thing about this birth control. I constantly got yeast infections, ZERO sex drive, I was so dry down there, and constant nausea. I didn’t realize it was my birth control making me feel that way for 4 years until I came off of it."

For Birth Control "Been on Seasonique for about 5 years, switched me to Ashlyna 3 years ago. The first 3 months, I recall feeling nauseous and having intermittent spotting, I almost stopped taking the darn thing. After reading reviews to wait it out, I can say I'm so glad I did. I no longer have periods, even on my off week. I'm told it's normal, and my uterus is fine. I'm no longer building a lining for potential pregnancy that needs to be shed every month. This birth control has leveled out my emotions, I no longer get the moodiness I once did every month. I have gained weight, about 5 lbs or so. Is it my pill or my age? Who could say? I'm not about to stop taking it to find out, though. Lol!"

For Endometriosis "I'm on my third week of my first month of Seasonique. Cons: Heavy breasts, which come and go, but the sensitive, hurting nipples are what drive me crazy. It's been a bit better in this past week. The first couple of days, I had really mild nausea, but that's long gone. Pros: My complexion cleared up significantly, my acne has severely decreased. Unlike other month-to-month birth controls, I don't feel bloated or heavy. My appetite has increased (this is good because I need to gain weight and previously had very bad eating habits)."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "On my second month. Just starting to get spotty (panty liner is enough) but nothing that isn't manageable. The first 2 weeks I had minor headaches and nausea, but it went away. Very tender breasts still. So far, month one--no period. Yay. Great not to have a period, but if the spotting gets worse (I think it may), that kind of defeats the whole purpose long term. I'm using this to stop periods while training for a half marathon. So far, its purpose for now, I'm fine. As far as sexual activity, it would be uncomfortable because the spotting is dark, slimy, and weird. But that's not an issue now.... So pros and cons. But no period 3 months in a row (hopefully), that's all right by me!"

For Birth Control "Seasonique was prescribed to me by my doctor because, after years on Alesse, I started experiencing light spotting about a week before my scheduled period. I also had low iron, so my doctor prescribed Seasonique to defer my periods. As soon as I started taking this medication, my waist appeared not as lean. I didn’t put on weight, but I’m experiencing water retention and bloat. My boobs are very sore; while they’ve gotten bigger, they’re not totally even, and the largeness sort of makes it a bit more obvious. My right boob needs to catch up, whomp whomp. With not having a period, I always think I’m pregnant. Six weeks in, and the hunger starts. I’m so hungry that I feel faint. I can pound back food without issue, and normal portions don’t fill me up. Also, I’m starting to feel nauseous despite taking it at bedtime."

For Birth Control "I've been on this BC for 1 month. I had no adverse symptoms or side effects for the full 4 weeks (no nausea, bloating, headaches, etc.) until my period started at its usual time... though it's much lighter. On day 4 of my period, so hopefully, it doesn't last much longer! Having some dull cramping on and off too, which is unusual for me. That said, this can happen with any pill when you start, so I will give it more time before a final review!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on this birth control for 4 months now. And have bled 3 out of the 4 months. I thought my body would have adjusted by now, but it hasn’t. I had a period the first month taking it. The second month I didn’t bleed until 2 weeks in, and now I’m on month 4 and still have not stopped bleeding. I started taking Seasonique because my periods were so painful and heavy. My doctor says to continue to take them, but I’m not because it should not take this long for your body to adjust. I’d rather deal with a heavy period for a week and just take ibuprofen for the cramping than to have continuous heavy spotting. I could not even enjoy the summer months at the beach because of this. I have gained 5 pounds, and I’m always nauseous and tired. I do not recommend this birth control."

For Birth Control "So, I was on this birth control from 2014 to 2017, and I LOVED it. I went through many trials and errors before finding that this medication didn’t cause me any awful side effects. Others I tried made me secretly nauseous to the point of not being able to keep anything down, lightheadedness, headaches. I raved and raved about this birth control! My doctor recommended that I stop due to an autoimmune disease that I was suspected to have. I stopped for one year and recently got back on it and just finished my first three months. This time was a completely different experience for me, and I am SO confused. Terrible spotting, ACNE (I have never had acne in my life), spotting heavily, along with a heavy period, which is why I am on this BC to begin with primarily. I realized that the manufacturer is Mylan, and before I don’t know exactly what brand, but it was in a bright green case, and those worked great for me. Can’t figure out what manufacturer that was or if it makes a difference."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for about a year, and I don't know why I waited so long to get off of it. I had cystic acne all over my face (I used to never break out before this pill), and I lost 20 pounds. I'm not a big girl in the first place, but this pill got me down to 90 pounds because of the severe nausea. Also, I was moody the entire time I was on it. I went on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and it saved my life."

"I have been taking Seasonique for 2 months now. The symptoms I noticed within the first month were increased appetite and weight gain (approx. 5 lbs) and mood swings, mainly crying excessively. During the middle of the second month, I felt severe abdominal discomfort that felt like period cramps with nausea, and the next morning I noticed spotting, which has continued for 2 weeks so far. I find this very inconvenient as it has lasted longer than a normal period. Also, my complexion has been getting progressively worse, and I have been feeling stressed and overwhelmed more easily. I am going to continue through the last month and switch if I don't notice any improvement."

"I have been on Seasonique for about a year now, and I have found that it does have some side effects (mild nausea during the first week of the first cycle and mild headaches here and there), but I have also found that with Seasonique my previously horrid cramps have almost disappeared, my complexion is better than it's ever been, and that I really, really enjoy only having a light period every 3 months."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking this medication on July 7, 2015, to try and regulate my periods and control my abnormal heavy uterine bleeding I had been experiencing. Everything was fine (minor nausea) the first 2 1/2 weeks, and then I started bleeding on July 25, 2015. Just lightly the first 2 days, and then it's heavy. Today is August 6 (13 days and counting), and I still am bleeding heavily and cramping badly."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control pill I have ever used. I have taken it regularly daily and have bled for nearly three weeks with awful cramping. Plus, the nausea was so overwhelming. My appetite has been nonexistent. My period came very regularly before going on Seasonique, every 28 days. But to bleed before the yellow pills and for nearly a month? I was checked out by my ob-gyn and there is no cause for this, but this pill is not a good fit for me."

For Birth Control "Honestly, this pill is great for me. In the past, every BC I tried made me sick on the first week of taking pills after the end of my period every month. With Seasonique, I never got nausea the first weeks in the night. I have not gained any weight, my sex drive has not been affected (as I’ve seen other comments mention it was affecting theirs). The fact I only get my period four times a year makes me forget I even have a period half the time, although it is true if you skip a day, you do get your spotting/period. Other than that, the only thing I can say is I have noticed more darker hairs around my chin and jaw area, but not sure if it’s the pill itself."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "A new doctor switched me to this one from Beyaz. I had gotten migraines once every six months or so before I started birth control, and on Yaz and Beyaz, I had never had any real issues, I was able to function with over-the-counter medicines for them. I just finished month number 3 today. During the first month, I had 2 migraines, with one that lasted two days, and I had to go to the health center because I couldn't stand it any longer and got a shot for it. After that, I went to my family doctor and was given migraine medication. I have had 8 migraines in the span of three months and have had to medicate with migraine medication instead of Motrin or Excedrin, add in extremely heavy period, cramps, and nausea, and you can see why I'm switching back."

For Birth Control "This birth control makes me incredibly nauseous. I had to miss a day of work due to the nausea. I have been on birth control in the past and realize taking it in the evening is the best choice, but that does not help. I also take it with food and I am still nauseous. I feel like I have morning sickness all over again from my pregnancy. Switching pills... enough said."

For Birth Control "I have been using Seasonique for 2 years now, and after the first year, I have had no problems other than some spotting when I forget to take the pill on time. If you push through the first year of nausea, mood swings, and some dryness during sex, it mulls over, and the pill really is great once your body is adjusted."

For Birth Control "I couldn't be on this pill for more than three days. I started taking it because I liked the thought of only having a period once every three months. Almost immediately, I got extremely exhausted, nauseous, fluctuating body temperatures, overwhelming sadness, a heavy feeling in my chest, and on the third day, I had a panic attack at work, so I decided to stop taking it. I felt 100x better when I woke up this morning after not taking it last night. I know you're supposed to give it time to work, but I have never reacted that horribly to birth control before."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been taking Seasonique for almost 2 months. I’d heard that it would allow me to skip periods, which I desperately needed because my periods were so severe. Completely unbearable cramps, nausea, fatigue, heavy flow, etc. About 3 weeks ago, I started having horrible cramps and bleeding, and it has not stopped for one day since. I have literally been on my period for 3 weeks! I would have been better off not taking it at all. At least this pain would only last a week or so. I’ve also had some weight gain without changing my diet, so I feel like it’s another side effect of this birth control. I had such high hopes for it, but sadly, it kind of sucks."
