For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on this for a month, and I was in horrible shape. Spotting, mood swings, headaches, chest pain, shortness of breath, weight gain, major cramps, and tummy gurgling. I was in a bad mood every day, and I couldn't be nice to my children. I stopped taking them, and it's like magic, all my symptoms disappeared. I'm so upset. My new doctor recommended this since they do not carry Chateal. I loved Chateal. It worked great! I wish my insurance carried these. Never will I take nor recommend this because."

For Birth Control "I have been on many different birth control methods for years now. None of them have worked for me. But when my doctor prescribed me Levora, I was like 'hmm, but I'm not a pill popper. Okay, I will try this.' Levora is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I now get my period for 3 days versus 7 days! I love this pill, and I get no side effects."

For Birth Control "This was the first pill prescribed to me in my teen years (I'm 32 now). I took them for about 3 years before I got off the pill altogether for about 10 years. When I got back on the pill, I was prescribed a different brand and went with it thinking how bad can it be...biggest mistake ever!!! After 8 months of suffering on the other pill, I switched back to my old, trusty Levora. What a relief!!! I experience very little, if any, side effects on this pill, and it immediately started to reverse the chaos the other pill had caused my body (weight gain, bloating, and severe mood swings). Thank you, Levora!!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was put on this medicine because my doctor found a uterine fibroid after I went in for abnormal bleeding complications. I haven't done well on other birth control methods that caused life-threatening reactions, so of course, I was scared to find that my treatment option had to be birth control. So far, my experience has been great. I had intensified nausea at the start, it subsided after the first week. I've completely lost my appetite and have to force myself to eat at least once a day. So in my first two weeks, I lost seven pounds. No complaints there. I haven't had abnormal bleeding or cramps throughout my day, so it appears to be doing what it is supposed to."

For Birth Control "I've used this medication for months, and it saved my life! I used to have the heaviest periods. I would bleed through my pants almost every day of my period, no matter how much I changed my pad/tampon. With this medicine, I never even have to worry about my period anymore! I have experienced no side effects or downsides to this pill. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who had a troublesome period. I love it!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Levora for almost 3 months, and it started out okay, but recently I’ve had periods way more often, and they seem to last longer. I went like almost two weeks without one, and then I got it again, and it has been nonstop. I’ve only been taking the active pills, so I’m not sure if that’s the reasoning, but I wonder if taking the inactive ones with it will just regular me out because I am sick of being on my period. Other than that, I don’t mind it. Just wish this period would stop."

For Birth Control "Levora made me an emotional mess! I will pay more for Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, which I was on for 7 years with no problems. I switched because Levora is cheaper. I am tired of crying at the drop of a hat and feeling 'strange.' I realize that every person is different."

For Birth Control "I have been on Levora for over 2 years now, and I really love it. I have not gained any weight due to being on the pill, I NEVER get acne, cravings and PMS symptoms are greatly reduced, and my periods are extremely light and short-almost like spotting. I still get cramps during the first day of my period, but they're so slight, and Advil takes care of it immediately. I usually start within the 3rd day of the inactive pills, and my period is over in 3 days, but lately I've been starting a day later, so my period lasts 2 days-not complaining though! I also suck at remembering to take the pill every day and still have not gotten pregnant."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Levora for about two months. Here is my experience: the first day I took it, I woke up around 3 a.m. because I had a lot of nausea, but it got better later. The next two days I had nausea, but nothing I couldn't handle. I have lost 10 lbs since I started taking the pill, don't get hungry a lot, just normal. Something I have noticed is that I get very emotional one week before my period comes. Sex drive is higher than ever, this might be because I feel more protected, and so does my partner, but we still use condoms as a second birth control method. Overall, I don't have any issues with this pill (which I got from Planned Parenthood) so far. Don't be scared to try it because everyone is different."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Levora for exactly eight days now, and I don’t know if it’s too early to tell, but my mood swings have been insane, and I’ve been very sad, which isn’t like me at all. I’m a very happy and positive person, but now I feel so down and lost. It’s so weird. I’m pretty sure it’s the birth control, though. I hope and pray that it goes away soon and I get used to the hormones because I’m going to have to go back to irregular periods and waiting four months until my next one. smh :("

For Birth Control "I've been on Levora for over a year. I have always weighed in at 100 pounds, but after two months on Levora, I gained 20 pounds and have stayed that way since. For the past 6 months, I have been eating better and exercising better than I have in years, with no change in the weight. I have also noticed my hair thinning out. I had no moodiness or problems with my period. I am switching to Aviane, so hopefully that goes well."

For Birth Control "I have been on Levora since 2009, so just over ten years. I initially gained weight, but lost it as soon as I started working out. I switched around a little bit but always came back to Levora. I got off for a year in 2017 and had the worst acne I’d ever experienced, so I went back on. I’ve never gotten pregnant, so it’s a good birth control. However, I am unable to tell if it’s affecting my moods, blood sugars (I’m a T1D). Thinking about getting off so I can clear up my body to prepare for pregnancy eventually. I’m just afraid of the terrible acne more than anything."

For Birth Control "I hate it. I hate it. This is the last straw for me. I am very sensitive to hormones, so take my review with a grain of salt. If it weren't for my sensitivity, I would stay on it. It's very effective if you take it at the same time every day. I have tried every form of birth control under the sun. All have either made me sick, or I've developed an allergy. I've been trying to avoid getting Paraguard due to a uterine fibroid and heavy periods. Honestly, I will take a week once a month of heavy, painful periods over continuing to be nauseous and constipated every single day with Levora. I've been on Levora for almost 4 months, and the side effects aren't any better. My advice, if you're sensitive to hormones, go get a Paraguard IUD, use condoms, or get sterilized."

For Birth Control "Great hormone balance. I've had issues before with other pills (Microgestin, Aviane, Kariva)...you name it...breakthrough bleeding, depression, headaches, low drive, etc. I thought I was just not someone who the pill worked for without major side effects...but Levora is great. No issues whatsoever, higher drive, absolutely no weight/depression/spotting/tenderness issues. Amazing pill - highly recommend it if you've had problems with other pills before."

For Birth Control "I developed extreme depression, anxiety, and mood swings, and gained 15 lbs. I eventually became suicidal. I switched to another type of BC, and within 2 months, my suicidal thoughts were completely gone, and within 4 months, my depression and anxiety were gone too. My life was the same, but I felt sane and in control of my emotions again. I also was finally able to lose weight. And my previously clear skin, which Levora ruined with cystic acne, went back to normal. This is a nasty, horrible pill. It should be taken off the market."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Honestly, I have been on Levora birth control for roughly a year. At first, it was fine, although I did gain a significant amount of weight no matter what I did. However, now I can’t stop bleeding between my period, and I have horrible pain in my ovaries and back. I have been to the ER three times in two weeks because of these symptoms, and they keep telling me that all tests are normal. I’m telling you, I know it’s my birth control. I used it to skip my period, and now I am regretting that decision immensely. Tomorrow is my last day before placebo week, and it will be my LAST day of taking Levora because I am over this depression and anxiety, which are awful, and this pill has increased it tenfold! The bleeding, cramps, depression, weight gain, gas, bloating, mood swings, and migraines are not worth this pill. TBH, at this point, I’m young, but I’d rather have a baby than go through this for any longer. I feel like rubbish almost 24/7."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I was given Levora because I was diagnosed with PCOS. I have been on a different pill about 2 years ago, and I went off due to side effects. I must say that Levora is horrible. Not only did it give me stomach cramps and bloating 30 minutes after taking it, but it also made me feel really, really tired just 2 weeks into my first set. I am also moody, depressed, and with absolutely no sex drive. So bad so that I can't even stand my husband touching me. So yeah, job well done on one hand: I will never get pregnant because I don't feel like having sex. At the end of this one month, I am going off the pill, and I will try more natural ways. Goodbye pills for the rest of my life!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Levora for a little over a year. This was my first time using an oral contraceptive, and it is amazing. I haven't gotten pregnant, my sex drive has increased, and my acne isn't as bad. When I take the reminder pills, I usually don't start my period the first day, which scares me. I crave food the week before my period and sometimes during. This pill serves its purpose so far, but my boyfriend and I also use condoms the majority of the time."

For Birth Control "I started on the patch for my acne, but my skin had an allergic reaction to the patch. It gave me no side effects, so the doctor changed me to an oral contraceptive. The one with the closest hormone dosage to the patch was Levora (called MinOvral in Canada). I have been on it for 6 years now. The only side effect I have experienced is mild breakouts right when I start a new pack after a week off, but I can put up with that. It is also slightly pricier than many other oral contraceptives. Unfortunately, my school's insurance plan does not completely cover it, but it is still affordable."

For Birth Control "I started using Levora after stopping Yasmin. I'm starting my third Levora pack next week, and so far my experience with Levora has been great! No headaches, no nausea, no feeling physically weak or overly emotional. My libido is really high, and my breasts have gotten a little bigger. I did, however, have the food cravings as mentioned in other comments, and it did make me gain a little weight, but I notice that when I'm taking the reminder pills, I'm a lot slimmer than when I'm taking the active pills. I also have increased acne by very, very little, nothing that makes me complain or feel annoyed. I recommend Levora for anyone debating on it. It worked well for me!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So I've wanted to be on BC pills for the longest just for menstrual cramps. My PCP said this would be great. I've been constantly sad and extremely tired. No matter how much sleep I get, it's never enough. I always have itching in my private area, and it never seems to go away to the point where it breaks open and seeps blood. Also, the nonstop spotting is crazy to deal with. I've been spotting for literally a month. I know spotting is definitely expected, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I definitely want to be off of this pill, and it's only been a month, literally! I'd rather take a Motrin 800 mg pill to deal with my cramps than to deal with this mess. It's so NOT worth it."

For Birth Control "I'm 5'5" and started at 125 pounds. I've been taking this birth control for 6 months and have gained almost 20 pounds (I'm at 143). Weight is impossible to lose. I eat well and exercise every day. Wouldn't recommend this at all."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for over 2 months now, and I have experienced spotting/bleeding for 2 months straight. I got back on the pill because my husband and I decided kids aren’t the right choice for us at this time. It has been extremely frustrating that I have not had 1 day in the last 2 months where I didn’t experience bleeding. I understand spotting is to be expected, but not full-on for 2 months straight. I haven’t noticed any differences in acne or weight gain/loss, but my breast size has increased by a full cup size. I’ve taken Ortho Cyclen in the past and didn’t experience any symptoms with that, but this birth control has been affecting my physical relationship with my husband, as well as my functions of everyday life. I have my wedding in a month, and I want to be able to enjoy it without having to worry about this bleeding. Will update in a few months."

For Birth Control "I'm 16 and have been on Levora for about 2 months. At first, I had a slight weight gain and extreme breast tenderness. But now, in my second month, my breasts have gone up a cup size, but tenderness is still there. The tenderness is bearable. My skin has improved greatly! My skin looks soft and clear. There's also been a decline in facial hair for me. I haven't had my period in almost 2 months, with no spotting. I do have slight cramps near the time of my period, but it only lasts for a second or two, then disappears. Overall, it works for me."
