For Birth Control "Very good birth control. I've been with 4 different birth control brands before this one, different progesterone and levels of it as well. I did my research, and this is the birth control I picked, and it's been wonderful. I've been on this birth control for 9 months. No mood swings, hardly nauseous, light period, no weight gain or loss, it's been perfect."

For Birth Control "I am a 27-year-old first-time oral birth control user, and I started on Levora 11 days ago. I know side effects are supposed to last for a few months, then even out, but I don't know if I can handle a few months of this! It has hit me in phases! The first phase was headaches (which I never get normally!), breasts sore beyond belief, and exhaustion. That has now shifted to hot flashes with lightheadedness, followed by anxiety and LOTS of crying! I have also been constantly nauseous. Thinking of food makes me nauseous, but I'm also starving and feel like I can't eat enough! All I can hope is that this is also a phase and it will even out, and I'll just have to tough it out. But if it doesn't ease up, I think I'll have to try a different pill."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I remember taking this a long time ago and forgot why I stopped taking it because I switched and tried an IUD back then. When I first got back on the pill, I took Chateal, which was great, was a little moody but otherwise fine. Still had periods, which is fine with me because it let me know I'm still fertile and all (peace of mind). As soon as I was switched to Levora, my anxiety exploded, gastrointestinal issues like bloating, which was painful, acne, missed periods, fatigue, nausea. After 2 months of seeing if things would settle, I've stopped taking it and made an appointment to get rid of it and replace it. I'd rather be pregnant than be on Levora."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was put on this medicine because my doctor found a uterine fibroid after I went in for abnormal bleeding complications. I haven't done well on other birth control methods that caused life-threatening reactions, so of course, I was scared to find that my treatment option had to be birth control. So far, my experience has been great. I had intensified nausea at the start, it subsided after the first week. I've completely lost my appetite and have to force myself to eat at least once a day. So in my first two weeks, I lost seven pounds. No complaints there. I haven't had abnormal bleeding or cramps throughout my day, so it appears to be doing what it is supposed to."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Levora for about two months. Here is my experience: the first day I took it, I woke up around 3 a.m. because I had a lot of nausea, but it got better later. The next two days I had nausea, but nothing I couldn't handle. I have lost 10 lbs since I started taking the pill, don't get hungry a lot, just normal. Something I have noticed is that I get very emotional one week before my period comes. Sex drive is higher than ever, this might be because I feel more protected, and so does my partner, but we still use condoms as a second birth control method. Overall, I don't have any issues with this pill (which I got from Planned Parenthood) so far. Don't be scared to try it because everyone is different."

For Birth Control "I hate it. I hate it. This is the last straw for me. I am very sensitive to hormones, so take my review with a grain of salt. If it weren't for my sensitivity, I would stay on it. It's very effective if you take it at the same time every day. I have tried every form of birth control under the sun. All have either made me sick, or I've developed an allergy. I've been trying to avoid getting Paraguard due to a uterine fibroid and heavy periods. Honestly, I will take a week once a month of heavy, painful periods over continuing to be nauseous and constipated every single day with Levora. I've been on Levora for almost 4 months, and the side effects aren't any better. My advice, if you're sensitive to hormones, go get a Paraguard IUD, use condoms, or get sterilized."

For Birth Control "I started using Levora after stopping Yasmin. I'm starting my third Levora pack next week, and so far my experience with Levora has been great! No headaches, no nausea, no feeling physically weak or overly emotional. My libido is really high, and my breasts have gotten a little bigger. I did, however, have the food cravings as mentioned in other comments, and it did make me gain a little weight, but I notice that when I'm taking the reminder pills, I'm a lot slimmer than when I'm taking the active pills. I also have increased acne by very, very little, nothing that makes me complain or feel annoyed. I recommend Levora for anyone debating on it. It worked well for me!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for the past two years. At first, I loved it and didn’t experience any symptoms. Recently, in the past 6 months, I have had so many symptoms that I didn’t even realize were from the birth control when I looked it up (before I realized it, I thought my body was just weird and didn’t know what was going on). I’ve experienced severe bloating and cramping on a daily basis, headaches and nausea, especially in the mornings and at night, increased discharge, mood swings (I get upset and angry so easily, but it’s so hard to feel happy), and a really bad decreased sex drive to the point where my boyfriend of 3 years was wondering what was wrong. This has worked great as birth control prevention, but I will be going to the doctor in the morning and changing it because I am so over this medication and all the negative symptoms."

For Birth Control "I'm 17, and the first month on this birth control was great. No side effects, nothing! Then the 2nd month came, and I got very, VERY emotional. I was crying and crying over stupid things, and it was worrying my boyfriend. Then, in the 1st week of the 3rd month, I got very depressed, lost my appetite. I had to force myself to eat, and I was nauseous. I had lost 8 pounds in the course of a week and a half. Every month was getting worse. I mentioned it to my mom what it was doing. She advised me to stop taking it. I went to the doctor's yesterday, and they prescribed me a new pill with fewer hormones, Microgestin 1/20."

For Birth Control "Since starting Levora 3 months ago, I've had severe panic attacks, fatigue, nausea, and awful mood swings. Off it as of today. I suggest taking it, then re-evaluating how you feel after 90 days. I can honestly say it's turned me into a raging lunatic with no control over my emotions. This has been my worst experience on birth control yet. The anxiety is overwhelming, which causes hostility and depression. Please be careful, ladies!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for over a year, and I have literally had all the side effects that are listed. I've felt so depressed and moody ever since taking this pill, and I never used to be like that. I strongly recommend not taking this med if you typically feel nauseous a lot or if you have terrible periods like me. I have gained about 15 pounds from this med, and I always feel bloated. Switching to something different tomorrow."

"I have been on Levora for about 2 years now, and I'm about to switch. What I like about the pill is that it works great. I'm forgetful and haven't gotten pregnant. When I miss, I can't double up because I will get highly nauseous. I also have to take three months straight before I can take the placebo week. If not, I will wake up in the middle of the night on the first night back and throw up. Other issues I've had: nausea, headaches, weight gain, anxiety, excessive crying over nothing, I'm easily irritated and angered, increased hunger. The worst side effect, however, has been my sex drive. It has completely gone. I have to talk myself into having sex with my husband. Not cool."

"I was put on Levora because I didn't want my period anymore. Didn't have any problems to begin with, my period has always been light and on time. It would just happen on days where I really needed it not to. I've been taking it for exactly 3 weeks (started the day my period ended), and it's been great! I have no mood swings whatsoever, no weight gain, no headaches, and no nausea! My libido was already pretty high, but now it's even higher! My breasts are a tiny bit sore, but they've increased from an A to a B. The only negative thing I've noticed so far is that I have more breakouts than I used to, but it's not horrible. I was supposed to start my period today but didn't, so it could be working for that. As long as I have fewer periods. First birth control for me."

"I've been taking Levora for 2 months now. The first few weeks were awful... I was an emotional wreck with severe mood swings. Also, I would feel very nauseous the majority of the time, especially immediately after taking the pill. I had bad breast tenderness, but within a few weeks, this subsided. I only had a few days of irregular spotting, but this soon subsided as well. On the second pack, I really had hardly any problems with this birth control. However, I am planning on switching pills because the one major problem I have with this pill, which is a serious deal breaker for me, is that ever since starting the pill, I have experienced terrible acne... large, painful, under-the-skin pimples and also many tiny pimples on my forehead. Hope this helps!"

For Birth Control "Seriously the worst birth control I've used! It's done its purpose of preventing pregnancy, but the side effects are horrible! Ever since being on Levora, it's been nothing but a negative experience. I get very fatigued, nauseous, and have severe migraines. I'm 20 years old and never had high blood pressure until I got on this pill. I have horrible mood swings and anxiety. My fiancé and I have noticed a big change in my emotions. I can be totally fine one moment, then be crying the next or be very hostile! I will get heart palpitations and shortness of breath out of nowhere. It didn't help with reducing cramping pain at all while being on my cycle, in fact, it felt so much worse than before. I experience severe vaginal dryness, which makes sex very painful during and after! Never had a problem with lubrication at all until this pill, and it's definitely not related to arousal. I do not recommend this pill at all! Getting off of it ASAP!!!"

For Birth Control "I had very few side effects using Levora. Since I took the pill in the evening, I rarely ever felt nauseous. No change in weight. My PMS symptoms were never bad to begin with, but my periods became a bit lighter than normal. My skin didn't improve or get worse. However, after two months, I've decided to switch to another pill with a lower dosage because of this pill's emotional effects. Little things that would normally slightly upset me for a few seconds started to make me cry or be really weepy for an extended period of time. I often can't explain why I'm so upset and don't feel in control of my emotions. I'm not sure that I would change pills if I were single at this time, but my moods have really started to affect my relationship."

For Birth Control "I love this stuff! I've had no bad side effects at all. I have painless periods now, when before I used to be in bed all day from period pains. The only bad thing I've noticed is that some months I will be very moody while on my period. I also notice that the morning after taking the first pill of each pack I feel a bit nauseous when waking up, but it goes away within a few minutes (which is normal when taking anything with hormones). I started taking this pill when I was 18 at a 34D cup size, I am now 20 years old, wearing a 32DDD. I think this pill definitely had to do something with making my boobs grow, but hey, I'm not complaining!"

For Birth Control "I took Levora for the first time when I was 21, and the first day I felt really bad. I felt nauseated all day, I wanted to quit then and there, but I am honestly glad I did not. It was great after that, I did not experience any weight gain or acne issues."

For Birth Control "I just started taking this birth control about 12 days ago when I started my period, and I'm still bleeding as if I'm still on my period. The flow is light, however, the length of my average period is 2 weeks when I wasn't on birth control. So maybe the medication is altering my system... I do feel nauseous and I crave like crazy. I do feel a little depressed because my period isn't gone yet, but overall it seems to be a good birth control so far."

For Birth Control "It has worked perfectly for me without any side effects at all (no weight gain, increases in acne, nausea, mood changes, or headaches). I take it continuously, so I haven’t bled at all for a few months, not even any spotting. Before this, I took Sprintec 28, and I bled almost every day for 5 months!"

"My experience with Levora was quite different. This is my first time using birth control. I thought I would gain weight, however, when I began taking Levora, I was 115 lbs. A month into the pill, I lost so much weight. I am currently 107 lbs. I also suffered from bad mood swings and nausea occasionally. I felt like I lost a lot of my appetite as well. The pill certainly served its purpose, though, I didn't get pregnant, and my periods were amazingly light, and cramps were almost non-existent."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Nexplanon (implant in arm), which was a terrible experience for me. Levora is heaven sent. Slight nausea and breast tenderness. My doc has me set up to have a period every 4 months, which I love (skip placebo pills). I am actively losing weight while taking the pill. The biggest downside is remembering to take it; I was so used to the implant. It’s definitely worth a try."

For Birth Control "I've only started my second month of Levora, but the nausea is so bad that I'm going back to Lutera. The nausea/vomiting was present for the first week that I started it. Granted, after that first week, it worked great for me by reducing my cramps/flow (as well as regulating my period--my original reason for trying Levora), but after beginning again after the placebo week, the nausea came back in force. As one who is a weenie when it comes to nausea, I will certainly not be taking it again! On a smaller note, I seem to be more emotional and likely to cry than normal."

For Birth Control "When I moved in March, the new pharmacy carries this birth control for my insurance. This month I was finally able to switch back to Marlissa. Even though it's the same dose of hormones, my body completely rejected the Levora. It made me so crampy, stopped getting periods at the end of the month, and got them at weird random times, nauseous, and severe headaches. This never happened on Marlissa. Luckily, my pharmacy was able to order Marlissa under my insurance because Levora is downright awful. There are tons of brands for a reason: every body responds to different kinds of medications and their brands! Inactive ingredients play a huge role people don't think about. Try out some and see what works for you - keeps you regular and keeps the cramps away."
