For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience with Falmina. I moved to a new area where they didn't have the brand of birth control Aviane, so they switched me to Falmina. I had been taking Aviane for more than two years without any problem. Since starting Falmina, I've had terrible cystic acne all over my chin (I usually have clear skin). I've experienced terrible dryness and itchiness down there, and pain during sex with my husband. Emotionally, I'm usually very stable but I have been sluggish and feeling down since starting to take this medication. Since I put the pieces together I've decided to get off this medicine. I don't feel like myself at all!"

For Endometriosis "I was prescribed this as a budget friendly (no insurance, with good rx you can get it for $14) birth control. I've been on it for around 7 months now, and so far I've had more good than bad. Its helped regulate and shorten my period, while also almost eliminating my cramps. Before I was on it I used to be bed bound for the first and last day of my period. I've lost a ton of weight on this pill, but mostly because it almost eliminated my appetite. The worst thing is the god awful hot flashes. Constantly through the day I have them and terrible night sweats that wake me up in the middle of the night, I'm in my early 20s and have never had this issue before. I deal with BPD and depression but haven't noticed a change in my stability like others have. All together I wouldn't recommend, but its also not the worst I've taken."

For Birth Control "I was put on this BC a month ago and I did not like it at all!! I was on Lutera and Sronyx for months and it worked perfectly for me. After being switched to Falmina I noticed I would wake up with dry eyes and a dry mouth and what was even worse was that my genital area itched like crazy!! I knew it had to be the BC pills because whenever I would take the placebo pills during my period the dryness went away and the itching stopped. I've been switched to Aubra and the itching is still there. I'm going to wait a while to see if the dryness continues. If it does I'm switching back to Lutera!!"

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I have been on this pill for 2 months. The first month was ok. I didn't feel any different beside slight water gain. My first period did not come until the 4th day on the placebo pill. The 2nd month I had nipple tenderness every single day, which sucks because it hurts when I work out. My period did not come until the 3rd day on the placebo pill. I would say it is a good contraceptive besides the nipple tenderness. I had no other side effects. I am most likely switching to a different contraceptive due to the nipple tenderness."

For Birth Control "I had the nexplanon implant for 3 years got it taken out and my Dr. Started me on the Falmina birth control. I've been taken it for two weeks now and its made me so sick, constantly throwing up. Chills. Sweats. Diarrhea. The works. I still haven't had my period either. I'm still on the fence about it"

For Birth Control "I had severe cramps and leg pain to the point I had to sit in very hot baths and burn my skin to feel better. With Falmina the first year not bad, I was up and walking with as super mild cramp. BUT, I started losing hair, gaining weight, depression, Mood swings, and panic attacks. At year two I noticed I started to get pimples ( I'll get a pimple one every other 4 months, maybe) and my leg pain came back and I would get the pain before my period."

For Birth Control "I got Falmina to help with my periods as I used to have awful cramps and mood swings that could murder you with a glance, I've been taking this for about 3 months now, the results are: My cramps no longer happen! I still get mood swings but now they're more crying instead of yelling and snapping at people. The rest of my side effects include my breasts being sore the week before my period, discharge, I both lose and gain weight it depends on what kind if day it wants to give me, I've been getting more black heads and a couple more pimples than usual. I have not used this birth control for sex yet (just want to wait just in case of pregnancy as I've heard multiple people have gotten pregnant with Falmina.)"

For Birth Control "This is effective in terms of keeping me from getting pregnant. I was a little upset my pharmacy gave me something new without telling me, but I tried it anyways. My previous bc didn't make me lose weight or gain weight. Made it constant unless I worked out it. This new bc I've been taking for three months now made me gain back weight that took me a long time to lose. I'm pretty upset. It makes me act out and more depressed than I am on random times. I'm more upset about it making me gain weight. I also break out a little more than usual. I already have bad acne, but I noticed I get it more often now. Either than that. No baby. No other side effects I noticed. I will be asking my pharmacy to change my bc when I am done with my last one."

For Birth Control "I switched to this birth control after being on Larin Fe, which made me feel completely crazy. I have been on this pill for 6 months and I did really like it. I used to have extremely heavy periods with horrendous cramps and since going on this my periods are much lighter, shorter & typically no cramps at all. The only negative is that I have breast tenderness pretty much the entire month. It only ever stops during placebo week. Lately though I have felt extremely anxious & I hope this pill won't turn out like Larin Fe where I felt so crazy and anxious 24/7!! I haven't gotten pregnant on it either so that is a major plus."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I've been using this for about 8 months my periods up until the 6th month were regular some didn't come until the 3rd or 4th day on the placebo pills but then they got lighter and lighter this month I haven't bled at all it makes me nervous but I've heard this is normal. Other than that I've had no other issues."

For Birth Control "I have only been on Falmina for about 2 months but I'm switching soon due to the ridiculous amount of cystic acne it has caused. I'm prone to acne anyway, but this put it through the roof. I never got chin or cheek acne until this product. The up side it besides that I have no other side effects. My mood is good, no nausea or headaches, and I think it's slowed my hair growth. Most of the problems I've heard about this birth control have to do with skin so if you're not acne prone then I would recommend it."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for about 4 months. While I did not get pregnant, I got a side effect that I've never gotten with any other type of birth control. I got a condition called melasma or cholasma. It is just a hyperpigmentation of your skin. Mine is located on my forehead and upper lip. It is so horrible, I look like I have a mustache. I've been a few different birth controls for about 9 years and switched for various reasons but I have never experienced anything like this. My GYN told me this was not a listed side effect of this medication so she was surprised. But it happened to me so I just want to prevent it from happening to others. It's extremely embarrassing and takes months to go away."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've only been on falmina for 3 months and I'm on the fence about it. I'm having abnormal periods. They last almost two weeks now. My period comes the last week of the active pills and will last almost all 14 days. Acne hasn't been that bad so far but the nausea is pretty terrible. Doctor said to give it at least 6 months so we will see."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Falmina for about 5 months now and before this I was on Tri-Linyah. I switched over to Falmina because Tri-Linyah constantly made me nauseous and physically sick. Falmina has not made me feel like that, and my period is really light. I have gained some weight while being on it but I’m also 19 and don’t eat the HEALTHIEST because my boyfriend has been cooking for me it. My boyfriend and I are sexually active & don’t use condoms or the morning after pill and I haven’t had any pregnancy scares and I’m SUPER paranoid about that all the time. I would recommended this birth control but I know everyone reacts different."

For Birth Control "So I started using Aubra (name brand for this drug) in 2017. The pharmacy switched me to Falmina in 2018 and I took it for a year with no issues. (Long story and personal history later) I've been on Falmina for the last 8 months again and have noticed no issues. I've always been someone with a light period, and I still get it on Falmina just as light. My only "problem" I guess is that sometimes the pills for the period week take 2 or 3 days to kick in and sometimes that gets my paranoia going but as far as side effects of this medication, I, a 24 y/o female, have had no issues with it both times I've taken it."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Falmina since March and I have had a much better experience than when I was taking Yaz. My periods have been drastically lighter and cramping is almost nonexistent. The only negative thing that I'm not sure is caused by the pill is that I'm losing a little bit more hair when I wash it compared to before, but I'm not sure if that's caused by Falmina or something in my haircare routine. It isn't causing any noticeable thinning. I've been pleasantly surprised at how stable my mood is and how little side effect I'm experiencing. Please don't be afraid to switch to or start a new pill, whether you take Falmina or a different brand!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had a D&C surgery done due to a miscarriage. I was in so much pain and was bleeding for 2.5 MONTHS after. The DR who did the surgery wasn’t my regular DR but someone who was available the date I needed & she claims everything went fine with the surgery. What confuses me is with this surgery you're only suppose to bleed a few days MAX 2 weeks & for me no it was a long 2.5 months of maybe 8 hour breaks here and there of no bleeding. Reminded of losing my baby and not to mention doing every day life, working, being a mom, etc with bleeding heavy with blood clots sometimes sizing in 4 in big and going to the bathroom all the time to change myself. Anyway I want to say Falmina has balanced my body out and feel great. Being on Falmina has balanced me out emotionally, stopped my bleeding completely from only a week of being on it and no break through bleeding, it started to actually clear up some of my acne on my face and overall has me feeling great."

For Birth Control "I love Falmina no issues and I’m so happy to know I’m not the only one who gets their period 2 days into the white pills that is the only scary/ weird part. Everyone’s body reacts different so it can be different for everyone. I haven’t gained weight, everything is normal, skin is fine sex, drive is fine I have been going 9 months strong and no pregnancy scare. This is my first time as well but I’m glad my body adapted to it really nicely. Periods are very light and short and tend to end when supposed to. I was scared about the reviews but honestly it all just depends on ones body. No serious issues with this birth control."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control brand for 3 months and can honestly say I don’t feel like the same person. A majority of the month my mood felt okay, but near the end of my pack, so like the last week before my period starts I would get these moderate to intense mood swings of super scary waves of anxiety, I would just kind of have to ride it out until they subsided. It made me feel like I couldn’t manage my own emotional responses to things, and I often felt very on edge especially that last week. Didn’t have the bleeding problems that other women have described on here, but for the mood swings alone I stopped taking this brand."

For Birth Control "I find Falmina to be an effective birth control medication for me. I have tried others but have experienced anxiety. I had a bit of breakthrough bleeding but needed nothing more than a panty liner and my period is now regular. I notice I get slight headaches here and there, especially during my period, but not bad at all. I have gained about 3-5 pounds but that could be life. I have had no acne either."

For Birth Control "Has anyone else had an allergic reaction to this Falmina pill? I have a weird itchy rash thing going on around my ankles and starting to spread to other parts of my body. Originally I was on Sronyx but I changed pharmacies and they only had Falmina, so I started it and the rash started about 2 days in! I also have very low sex drive. I had been on Sronyx for about 5 years so now I’m just wondering if there are actually better options. I believe the allergic reaction is due to the dye in the pills because on my other BC sronyx the sugar pill week was dyed, not the 3 week regular pills, I took the sugar pills once and had the same reaction as I am now with falmina. Flamina pills are opposite, 3 week hormone pills are dyed and sugar pill week are not! WEIRD."

For Birth Control "When I first started Falmina in August 2021, I had constant nausea and heavy bleeding for a couple weeks. I called my doctor and she told me to stick with it for three months as a trial. I was miserable but I did it anyway. During the three months, I experienced constant mood swings. I cried easily. I got angry for little to no reason. I became very anxious about everything. The pros of this pill for me is that I never got pregnant and I knew when I was going to have the withdrawal bleed. The cons of this pill for me are the mood swings, anxiety, depression, and weight gain. I have never had so many panic attacks in my life as I have had in these months from August 2021 to January 2022."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for a year. My pharmacy is now switching to Larissia, so I wanted to write a review before the switch. This pill was my first, so I have nothing to compare to. It works great as birth control, I have not gotten pregnant or had any scares-- libido unaffected. My periods are MUCH better-- I still get cramps, but it is 90% better than it used to be. I used to fill an over-night pad in 2-3 hours, now my periods are lighter and last 5 days rather than 10. The downsides are that I gained 15-20 lbs with no lifestyle change, and I am super moody, depressed, anxious, etc anymore."

For Birth Control "My experience with Falmina has been wonderful. Before getting on Falmina, I was having terrible cramps and an unpredictable cycle. I've been on it for almost 3 years and have had no issues. I'm sexually active with my partner and have never even had any scares. The biggest downside to this medication is that the side effects are very unforgiving. But all of the side effects that I experienced dissolved after about 5 months. In other words, the medicine will give you bad side effects for only the first few months of you being on it on a daily basis. Don't be afraid of this medication. You've gotten quite a few bad reviews online, but it's actually one of the best birth control options out there."

For Birth Control "This medication was prescribed to me because it is the generic version of "Lutera". I was taking Lutera for over a year without issue, no weight gain, no acne nothing. Then I got Falmina one day and that all went out the window. I got horrible cystic acne all over my chin, cheeks and chest that I have never before experienced in my life, and I gained over 15 lbs in about 6 months without any dietary or lifestyle changes. I was extremely moody, anxious (heart palpitations came back on this) and I was frequently feeling rather sick. This medication is awful, please DO consider the differences between generic and brand name. The hormones are the same, but the filler ingredients make a huge difference."
