For Birth Control "Works great for preventing pregnancy. Cleared up my skin. Gained a little weight. Crazy irritable and emotional a couple of days before my period, with a few breakouts and constipation. Haven't had any luck with skipping my period-always breaks through somehow. So I'm switching, but it's been pretty good so far anyways."

For Birth Control "So it did its job in keeping me not pregnant, but I did notice some weight gain, and my reason for leaving this pill was huge: ZERO sex drive. I have never had a problem with this before, nor have I ever had a problem with self-lubrication, but almost immediately after starting this pill, my sex drive plummeted, and I could not get wet during sex at all."

For Birth Control "With all the bad reviews, I was scared to try this! So far, I have had 0 symptoms: no weight gain, no hair loss, no appetite increase/decrease. I guess everyone's body is different, but this birth control works amazing for me."

For Birth Control "I started Chateal four months ago. Bad idea, I've gained 20 pounds, something extremely unusual for me because I had the same weight since I was 15, and I've been having acne episodes, which is even more rare because I never had it before either. No severe mood changes, but I've been very tired and sleepy too. Conclusion: This pill sucks. I can't wait to change it."

For Birth Control "I'm on my second month with Chateal. Honestly, I will stop using it for good. I gained 12 pounds in less than two months. I go every single day to the gym. I eat healthy, healthy, healthy!! My mood changed. I can't see my boyfriend because I feel like he is disgusting. I can't remember the last time I had sex with him. I have nausea, can't sleep, my knees are weak, my stomach hurts so bad. The good thing about it is that my periods are better. Every woman is different."

For Birth Control "Lately, I've been feeling 'off.' I feel moody and sometimes want to cry for no reason. I recently felt super nauseous, dizzy, and felt like I was going to faint while driving, but for no apparent reason. I went to the doctor, and everything was fine. I went to the optometrist, and everything with my eyes was fine. I've had panic attacks, severe anxiety, a feeling of 'blah,' headaches, and dizziness, plus all-around weirdness, and I believe it's from these pills. I was on a different birth control a while ago, and I got weird symptoms from it too. I'm going to change my pill and see if that does the trick. Plus, I've gained so much weight from this pill."

For Birth Control "I started Chateal in January, it's now August, and I stopped taking it about 2 weeks ago. This pill works great for its intended purpose because I definitely didn't get pregnant, but the side effects were becoming too much for me to handle. I gained about 8 pounds, which I did not like as I'm very self-conscious and have a mild eating disorder. It also made me severely depressed and anxious. I would cry all the time at the smallest things, and I just couldn't take it anymore. After just 2 weeks of not taking it, I have noticed a huge improvement in my mood. I haven't cried for 3 days, whereas I was crying about 5 times a day while on the pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Reclipsen and moved and started going to Planned Parenthood to get my birth control quicker, and one month they switched me and gave me Chateal. I was told this is the same thing, and let me just say THIS IS NOT THE SAME. This BC made me have severe migraine headaches that would not go away no matter what medicine I took. The migraines would come every month 3 to 1 days before my period started. They were so unbearable that I would have to lay in the dark completely still and not move my head in any direction. Not to mention, I gained 30 pounds. So after 6 months, I let them know that I would not take this anymore and to please give me Reclipsen again. Instead, they gave me Apri, and everything has gotten back to normal. No more migraine."

For Birth Control "This birth control is insane. No, I have not gotten pregnant, but after visiting my local Planned Parenthood, they told me they stopped carrying Apri, my original birth control. I was on Apri for about 2 years, and it was amazing. But I didn't have a choice besides switching due to my lack of health insurance. So, the first three months, totally fine. Yeah, a little moody here and there, but nothing out of the usual. By the time the fourth month rolled around, I gained almost 15 lbs, had the worst mood swings and cramps around my ovulation time, spotted every week, and my period just keeps getting longer and longer. Before, it was like clockwork, down to the very hour, 11 months out of the 12. I have one month left to go, then switching."

For Birth Control "As a birth control, this worked well. It did not cause me to gain weight, and it helped my acne. But I had TERRIBLE mood swings. I cried a lot, and the smallest of things would make me angry. This was my first time being on birth control, so I had no idea that it could have such an effect on my mood/personality. It honestly made me a different person. So I switched to Lomedia and finally felt like myself again!"

For Birth Control "I've been on it for 6 months, and it works! Period came on time, and I'm not pregnant! I've had 3 miscarriages and am emotionally not ready to do it again. However, I've gained weight, it makes me very sleepy... like too sleepy to tend to my 4- and 1-year-old. My hair falls out BAD! I am not an emotional person, but I do feel I'm more angry, and I hate feeling like that. One last thing, I was still breastfeeding my son, not exclusively, and PPH told me it's okay to take it. Well, I'm just now reading the warning label, and it reads to not take it if you are breastfeeding! PPH told me it was okay! It said the drug can be passed to him through my milk! He has been fine. I'm hoping it stays that way. But it works, and I will continue to use it."

For Birth Control "I had been on the pill for many years. When my doctor changed my RX to Chateal, it was as effective. It really did help me by completely clearing my acne, this takes about 6 months, though. I did not gain extra weight or develop any emotional health issues. I stopped taking it because I started using a more natural method of birth control, but started to take it because I hate that my acne came back at age 28. I really hope symptoms like depression or weight gain do not begin to affect me as I am older now. I'm also naturally moody, so this may worsen things. I was in a negative mental rut today. Also, I hope this doesn't push me over the edge, as I believe I am depressed. Hopefully, it'll be just like when I was younger."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control when I was 18 and have been on it for about 8 months now. Once I first started it, I was so nauseous and had horrible headaches. When it came time for me to get my period, I missed it, then it came the next month with the worst cramps I have ever experienced. My face is kind of acne-prone, and it cleared up a little bit, but not a whole lot. I've gained about 15 pounds, and after I take the pill, I get so hungry. My periods are about the same, I'm just a little bit lighter, and it's like a day shorter, but my period does come EXACTLY 28 days from my first day. I experience really bad cramps, like going to the ER cramps, and they got a little better, but not to the point where I have no cramps. I guess it's alright."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Chateal for almost 6 months and I love it so far. It cleared up my acne, so now I can go out without makeup. I didn’t really gain weight, but I haven’t been losing. It’s okay. My periods are exactly 28 days apart, my periods are light, and cramps are like nonexistent. And best part, I’m not pregnant! The only thing I do agree on is my sex drive isn’t like before, tho lol."

For Birth Control "I wanted to switch birth control after taking Aubra. Aubra was a good birth control, but taking it for almost 2 years had made me get too emotional and depressed a lot, and that made my relationship with my boyfriend go downhill. It did me good, though! I just didn't want to lose my boyfriend. So after taking a break from birth control for 3 months, I started gaining weight! I was the heaviest I've ever been! So, I needed to get back on birth control. Chateal was a bit more than Aubra, I started taking it for about a month, and my face started getting eczema. Didn't even lose a pound while exercising and eating healthy like I always do. I wasn't sure what to do anymore. So I quit taking it for good, and after a week off it, my skin cleared up!"

For Birth Control "This birth control was great for me. I went from an A cup to a D cup on it, though. No weight gain, etc. It was pretty easy on my emotions, and I wish I could find it again now."
