For Atrophic Vaginitis "I’ve used Imvexxy for about a year with no problems. It does work for me, although it’s a nuisance having to remember to insert — which I do at night. My biggest complaint is they specify keeping it within a very narrow temperature range. The fridge would be too cold, but when we have a hot spell in summer, I have to keep the capsules in the basement."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I had tried so many things to deal with vaginal atrophy. Intercourse was extremely painful, and I thought my sex life was over. Then my nurse-midwife suggested Imvexxy. Game changer. After a week, the results were incredible. Some reviewers talk about the discharge, but I found if you insert it a little higher and at night (wear underwear), there's far less. I haven't noticed any of the side effects some folks have. I take 10 mcg 2x per week. I also wish, though, that there were no dyes in this product. AND they did hike the price! Hopefully, I can get this resolved."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Started with Imvexxy 10 mcg and severe migraines coming back (also noticed out of nowhere, developed atrial fibrillation? Sad because the product worked great and nearly immediately for the painful intercourse! Afib stopped and decided to try the lower dose at 4 mcg. Now I have severe pressure in the pelvic area. Feels awful. First, I thought it was due to increased physical activity, but now I think it is the product because it immediately feels worse again after inserting and lying down. Have a constant feeling of urgency. Worried about prolapse, but went to OB/gym and she said that was fine. I am sad but think I will have to stop as the misery of constant feeling pressure (like a UTI or a pressure like wanting to give birth) is awful!"

For Dyspareunia "Three months on Imvexxy now. No issues at all other than a minor itch I had the first month I was on it, but the minor issue went away after month two. Now on my third month, going into my fourth month, and things have been very positive."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I tried Imvexxy for 4 weeks and then tried Intrarosa for 4 weeks and decided on Imvexxy. I have been on it for 2 months now and am very pleased. The first 2 weeks, I had a mild headache pretty immediately after using the drug, but thankfully I no longer have this side effect. A big bonus has been much better sleep since taking Imvexxy. The Intrarosa also worked for the vaginal dryness, but also was more cumbersome with daily usage requirements and also made it hard to fall asleep at night."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "IMVEXXY did not work for me. I'm 6 years post-menopause. Insurance quit covering Premarin cream (which worked great) and switched me to IMVEXXY. I tried the 4 & 10 mcg strengths. Neither took care of the dryness, irritation, or urinary symptoms. It caused a burning irritation that felt like a UTI after each use. I used it at night, and it was messy enough to require a panty liner. I also had some hair loss, which may or may not be related."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "This medication gave me a terrible rash, and I broke out in hives after the first use. It was from my hips down and itched terribly! It has been over a week, and the hives/rash are still present. OB prescribed something to help with the itch, but it makes me drowsy. This has been a terrible experience. I would not recommend this or wish this on anyone."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I just started using Imvexxy, and although initially it felt like it was helping, things have taken a turn for the worse. I have mild cramping, itching, burning, and increased urination with burning. Got checked for UTI, and none present. The only thing that has changed has been the introduction of Imvexxy. I'm also having stomach issues. Imvexxy is not for me. I had high hopes, but the side effects are intolerable."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I started taking 10 mcg Imvexxy one month ago. I used it daily for two weeks, then went to twice per week. I found it easy to use. All was fine for two weeks, except for the bad discharge, and then at week four, I started having extreme fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, chills, and hot flashes, and then extremely painful pressure in my pelvic area. Since this is the only change I have made, I am convinced it’s Imvexxy."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I have tried Imvexxy twice, the first time with the lower dosage, and I felt improvement with no side effects. And then, after the first two weeks, I developed a very bad yeast infection. When I went to the doctor, she thought this might be a coincidence, and she put me on the higher dosage. I felt breast tenderness and insomnia. And again, after two weeks once a day, the yeast infection is starting up. Need to call the doctor in the middle of the COVID-19 self-isolation! Worried."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "After one-time use, the next day I noticed an itchy rash mostly under my armpits and some on my torso. I'm afraid to use it again. Also, in the morning, I had bad hot flashes. The last time was over a year ago."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "The medication worked great, but I have cancer now. I took Imvexxy for 1.5 years for painful vulva during perimenopause. I have stage 4 cancer now without a family history. No genes have been found after extensive genetic tests. The only thing they can find is my cancer is 99% estrogen positive. I took this medication because I thought it would be safe given everything I had read and heard. I had no family history of breast cancer. I would advise anyone with dense breast tissue to avoid this. My mammogram came back clean, and after the fact, I know my cancer was already stage 4! I had to fight for my diagnosis. If your state doesn’t perform an ultrasound on dense breast as part of the mammogram procedure, insist on one! I moved to Florida and got one after NC did not give me one, even with a past adenoma. I was able to feel the tumor once it reached over 5 cm in width, but it was stage 4 by then."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I’m 62, had a hysterectomy at age 40, did not do HRT, and am not sexually active. I needed Estrace 3 times a week on the opening of my vagina for dryness. In 2022, however, I had 6 UTIs and lower back pain. My urologist thinks I have cystitis and vaginal dryness and prescribed 10 mcg of Imvexxy twice a week. I’ve used Imvexxy for three weeks and have been experiencing night sweats and a pink discharge from the medication. I use a leftover applicator to insert the capsule, not my fingers. I insert it more than 2 inches, but the discharge still leaks out. The opening of my vagina still feels dry. I’ll have to see if the UTIs go away with continued use."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Started Imvexxy fall of 2019. Seemed to be working fine. Summer of 2021, I started having heavy discharge on all days except the day after the nightly dosage. I also started having unusual hip pain and mobility issues. Experienced migraines as well. Have stopped taking Imvexxy spring 2022, and after the first week off, hip pain and mobility improving, and discharge is much less every day."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "My OB/GYN recommended Imvexxy, after another OTC, Revaree, did nothing to help with my vaginal atrophy. I was reluctant to take any HRT, and never would have brought it to my doctor's attention if she did not ask me how my sexual health was. I had been unable to have intercourse for over 4-5 years."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Pink discharge scared me, should not have a dye, can be confused with blood. Pinkness on a tissue can be a lot of things that are serious, such as pink or light amounts of blood on a tissue from bladder cancer. It's very hard to figure out if it is blood and where it might have come from if you see a pink color. Also, I wonder how much drug actually slips out when the pink coating dissolves in the discharge. Prescribed by my ob/gyn and urologist for UTI/atrophy/dryness seems to help somewhat. Been using for 6 weeks. Color of it needs to change. Needs an applicator."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I’ve been using Imvexxy for about 1 month. I’ve noticed hot flashes and night sweats have increased. I’m having leg heaviness and tiredness, as well as lower back pain. Insomnia has also gotten worse. I get a burning sensation and discharge after usage. I take 10 mcg every two days. I will reduce my usage to once a week and see if the symptoms resolve. I will keep you posted."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Imvexxy has been effective in treating atrophic vaginitis. However, after having been on it for some time, I have gained nearly 10 pounds, experienced hair thinning, a 'full' abdomen, and thigh cramping, as well as my hot flashes have returned. Interestingly, the trials that were conducted for this medication only covered women for 12 weeks, so could side effects increase with long-term use? My insurance doesn't cover this medication, and I will be stopping it once I complete this month."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I had such burning, pain, and constant urge to urinate! Was put on 3 antibiotics by urologist, never positive for UTI. Finally, went to my fab ob/gyn who said it is vaginal. First night I used it, I had total relief after 4 months of constant pain, etc.! I have only used two, one every two weeks! So far, no bad affects for me."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Just started using a week ago on a lower dose of 4 mcg. The only side effect has been joint pain: knees, elbows, and hips. Cost was $75 for 18. $35 for a maintenance pack of 8. Find the prescription card online. I can deal with the side effect if sex isn’t painful. I'm 54 and not expecting my sex life to be over yet."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Just read all these reviews after having used this product for about a year and a half. I was on a strong dose at first, and it made me very crampy, so my doctor reduced the dose to 10 mg, which still seems like a lot compared to the reviews that I’ve been reading. I took it half as often as she suggested. It worked. However, I had the worst smell coming from my armpits, and I’ve never been a smelly armpit person, my hair is thinning, which I realize is a side effect according to the reviews, and I had weird sensations in my breast. So I will be discontinuing the use of this product. Good luck, ladies."

For Dyspareunia "My physician prescribed Premarin vaginal cream, with good results. After a year, CVS, my prescription provided, notified me they would no longer cover any of the cost of Premarin and recommended the physician order Imvexxy 10 mcg twice a week. Even using this medication faithfully, I have had minimal to no improvement in the dyspareunia, and the residual headaches are miserable."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "Prescribed to me for surgical menopause (hysterectomy in my 30s). Worked to help prevent UTI and vaginal dryness. Side effects: diarrhea, headaches, and body aches. Sucks… But big pharma keeps you coming back for side effects and other problems. Gotta keep you a customer, I guess. 4 mcg twice a week."

"My doctor gave me some samples of Imvexxy, and it worked great. By the time I got the prescription and began using it, the result was not the same. I thought Imvexxy would be my saving grace, but it wasn't. Easy to use except the morning after discharge was stiff on my underwear and irritating, so I changed underwear during the day."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "A friend recently told me about Imvexxy. I received my order via Pill Pack 3 weeks ago. Packaging was exceptional. Hormone quality even better than Premarin. Had to stop taking Premarin cream last year due to complications from the product. One happy customer here. And would most certainly recommend Imvexxy."
