For Birth Control "I started this birth control, and it made me nauseous. I gave it another week. Two weeks in, it gave me diarrhea, and my mood was through the roof. I was always so angry, anything set me off, and I'm normally not like this. It was a horrible experience, but hey, I didn't get pregnant, but maybe because I was a monster on this pill, lol. It works for others, but definitely not for me."

For Acne "Originally was put on Nikki for acne. I had breakouts the first month or two, but by month five, my skin was clearer than it had been in years, with only breakouts before my period. However, I did experience a lot of headaches and really intense mood swings to the point I was crying pretty much every day. I have a history of depression and anxiety, and they both went sky-high while on Nikki. I also was nauseous and had stomach issues while on it, along with period-like cramping throughout the month. I liked how my skin reacted, but with the increased risk of clots and all the side effects, it wasn’t worth it for me."

For Birth Control "I am just now into my third week of this medicine. The first week, I was nauseous and had a headache and just felt terrible. This past week, I have been so unbelievably irritable. I have three small children and just can't be the moody single mom. I have to be here for my kids emotionally. I have noticed my patience decreased and my anxiety increased. I've been more down than usual. I have ZERO sex drive with my boyfriend, which is completely unusual. And I've also wanted to EAT everything! The main reason for this medication was to regulate my periods because I have a small fibroid. I've noticed a lot less pain from that and no bleeding so far. But I'd honestly rather have that than all these side effects. I do not recommend this medication. It has been awful."

For Birth Control "Been on this for 2 days, and I’m so nauseous and terrible headaches. The hour after I took it, my headache started, and today (second day), been nauseous all day. I even want to just throw up and get it out of my system. Ugh, not taking it anymore."

For Birth Control "I've been on at least four different types of birth control throughout a span of eight years, and Nikki is by far the worst one I've tried. I find myself constantly nauseous, moody, and I really haven't felt like myself since starting Nikki three months ago. Does not help with acne, bad period cramps, or spotting/heavy bleeding. This is a very problematic birth control, and it shouldn't be recommended by any doctor, ever."

For Birth Control "When I first began, I was on Yaz, then I got switched to Nikki. For at least 6 months, I had no problem. Now I have frequent headaches and nausea. It is like I can have a huge appetite and can't stop eating, or I'm not hungry at all."

For Birth Control "This BC changed my life!! I was on Taytulla previously, and it was awful (made me break out worse than ever before, long, horrid periods, etc.). Nikki has made my skin clear so quickly, and I can go without makeup without feeling self-conscious. My periods are still pretty heavy, but it synced up with the pill pretty quick, and my cramps aren’t too bad. Feeling no nausea or weird pains either. :) Highly recommend."

For Birth Control "I was originally put on TriSprintec to help with acne, and it made it severely worse, so my doctor switched me to Nikki almost a month ago. I had slight nausea when on TriSprintec, but now it's terrible, and I can barely eat. I also get cramping and headaches."

For Birth Control "I will switch from Vestura to this medication, and ever since, I have a stomach ache all the time. I always have to eat something before I take it, if I don't, I will have the worst nausea and stomach pain. My acne got a little worse, and I cramp when I get my period, which didn't happen with my other medication. Nikki is not so good."

For Birth Control "I've struggled with acne for so long since I was in 6th grade. I tried everything for my acne, and nothing worked besides Nikki. My acne cleared up, and my skin was amazing. I got a lot of compliments, however, it did make me super nauseous the first couple of months. Two years later, my acne comes back in full force. It was not bad, but it was everywhere, and I could not wear any low-cut shirts. I personally don't think anyone should take birth control for their acne. I would just go for Accutane if I'm being honest. You're wasting your time on any birth control because the moment you get off of it, your acne will come back even worse. Don't waste time and money on any birth control (for acne). Nikki was good until this year. Birth control is a temporary solution."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "Nikki has improved my life so dramatically. I was on birth control from ages 14 until 27 when I started trying to get pregnant. After my son was born, I decided to stay off the pill and see how I felt. The first year was okay, but then my periods became irregular and I started to have horrible mood swings. I would feel almost euphorically good for a week or so after my period ended and then live in two weeks of nightmare living. (irritability, depression, low energy) I started reading more about PMDD and decided to give this a try. The first three days I had really bad headaches. I have also experienced some nausea and also random increased anxiety, which oddly always seems to happen after eating. Perhaps the anxiety is related to the nausea? Overall, my mood has been much more stable all month long. No highs, lows, or angry outbursts. No weight gain - I think my stomach is actually feeling flatter. I plan to take this for three months continuously."

For Birth Control "This stuff gave me migraines, auras, and vertigo so bad I had to go on nausea meds usually given to cancer patients. Finally figured it out after my insurance switched, so I had to get a new prescription. The new doctor refuses to prescribe this medication at all because of how much risk it poses! Apparently, my symptoms could have signs of early blood clot and stroke, which are incredibly common with this medication. Now on a progesterone-only one."

For Birth Control "I tried Nikki for less than 1 month and for the first week I thought it was good as my old pill, but then, after 10 days I started to have nausea, problems with my eyesight, headaches, and vaginal discharge. I stopped it. This medication didn’t work for my body."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I started taking Nikki birth control for my PMDD. Long story short - it helped my PMDD symptoms greatly but caused other problems. I started to have facial discomfort and then chest pains. I was admitted to cardiac ICU due to SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). My heart went from 85 to 210 bpm - the ER gave me adenosine twice with no result (which means if you seriously don’t have heart issues like I don’t, then adenosine won’t work). So they took me off Nikki and found that my blood clot level was high. Since taking me off, it has gone down. I’m on a beta blocker for two weeks and a heart monitor. The internal medicine doctor and two cardiologists all believe it is due to Nikki. Nikki’s active ingredients may cause stroke, heart arrhythmia, and other vascular issues. A little pain or getting dizzy and nauseous like I do, just try Dramamine during your luteal PMS phase and fight it. Drink chamomile tea. I’m 27!! Read your medication information! Research them. It’s your due diligence to your life!"

For Birth Control "Nikki was my first BC, my 2nd week of taking it. I started experiencing very bad migraines, blurry vision, nausea, low sex drive, and depression. I stopped taking it and spoke to my doctor about it."

For Birth Control "So far I’ve been taking (Nikki) for 2 weeks now, almost 3. So far, so good! The only thing I’ve noticed is feeling nausea during the day. I’ve read that it is normal when starting a new BC pill. I had really bad acne on my back and on my face. I’ve already started to see a difference on my back, and I haven’t been taking even a full month yet. I’m hoping that it continues to do good for me!"
