For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I've been on Angeliq for 6 weeks only. It has already helped with my mood swings and sweats, however, since the second week of taking it, I started spotting, and this has increased so much that it is soaking my clothing, and I ended up in the emergency room with severe bleeding, flooding. I've been told to keep on this for another week with tablets to help reduce the bleeding. These are not doing much. I notice that when I've taken a tablet of HRT, I then get cramping and then I flood. So, obviously not good. Anyone else had this?"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have just about every menopausal symptom listed, and it makes my life extremely difficult. Sweats, mood changes, muscle pains, depression, general irritability, you name it, I have it. I was on Angeliq for 2 months and felt tremendous relief after 15 days. I did a BP checkup once and had a slightly increased BP (140/100), got afraid and stopped (BP could have gone up for 1000 various reasons, right). All the symptoms came back within 5 days, with vengeance. I have been consuming large amounts of soy, maca powder, linseed oil, as well as started a raw food diet. Nothing helped, not even a slight bit. I decided to go back on Angeliq as soon as possible, my checkup is OK. Really helpful medication."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This drug is highly effective for severe postmenopausal symptoms. (Severe and frequent hot flashes, sweating/dehydration (almost hourly), sleep deprivation, confusion, (slurring of speech), mood changes, irritability, loss of normal daily function.) The drug has been a miracle, ending all of those symptoms. The lower dose is best for reduced risk. The cost is high in the USA: $195 per month, not covered by any insurance. Initially, the manufacturer (Bayer) provided a coupon which took the cost down to $115. But Bayer has now discontinued the coupon. No insurance covers this drug. I feel discriminated against at age 59 that this drug is not covered. Insurance companies will cover the cost of birth control for younger women, but not cover the cost for postmenopausal women needing relief from extreme symptoms. Women who need this drug may have to plan for an additional $15K to $25K expense in their postmenopausal years if their symptoms are severe and interfere with daily normal functioning."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I was getting two hours of sleep. Constantly woken with severe palpitations and sweats. Within a week of taking Angeliq, getting a full night's sleep again and no sweats. Fantastic."
