For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I'm pregnant with twins, and my nausea the first trimester (and a few weeks into the second) was debilitating. I was throwing up and needing to eat something every 2 hours, including at night. My doctor prescribed Bonjesta at my 8-week appointment (when we discovered there were two babies in there), and the relief was almost immediate. I could sleep through the night again, stopped throwing up, was less disgusted by the smells of food, and was able to snack throughout the day and go for walks/do prenatal yoga again instead of lying in bed miserable. I was worried to take a medication at all, but the impact it's had on my sickness has been incredible, and it's a tried-and-true combination that people have used for decades. The timed release is especially helpful. I only needed one tablet at night (instead of a second in the morning). It's definitely not cheap, but my husband and I both think it was worth it for me to be able to function again."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was prescribed this by my OB-GYN and began the medicine as instructed with 2 at night and 1 the next morning. I woke up in the morning feeling angry and frustrated and was taking it out on my 2-year-old and husband. I continued about my morning and took my daughter to daycare and realized something was not right about me. I was dizzy and feeling groggy and irritated. I was out of it for the rest of the day. I discontinued using the medicine and called my OB-GYN the next day, who told me I had a bad reaction to the medicine. Bad stuff for me and now still living with the nausea and sickness versus feeling all of that from the medicine."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Overall, Diclegis has definitely reduced my nausea, so that I don't want to die 24/7. I can still notice the nausea some, especially when it gets closer to the next dosage. I am on 4 a day. It took two days to lessen the nausea, and I've still been vomiting once a day on average, and holding more back. I still need to keep my stomach full, but at least I can drink sips of water and eat some food, other than only toast. The first three days, I was a zombie. Now I can stay awake with caffeine in the morning, a nap in the afternoon. I don't know if I can return to work because I am so sleepy, which is the major negative. I was also constipated the first several days. I hate taking medicine, but I have two children to care for and was getting dehydrated."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was given vitamin B6 and Unisom, which ended up making me more sick because I hated the smell of my own saliva after taking them. Then, the worst medicine on the planet called metoclopramide “Reglan,” which doesn’t work at all. Finally, after I lost 4 kg while constantly throwing up, my doc decided to put me on Diclegis, and ladies, don’t read negative comments, give it a try and you will forget nausea. They say it takes 5-7 hours to start kicking in, but for me, it took 4 hours. After those final four hours, I felt light and happy again. I am back in the kitchen, back on my feet, eating healthy fruits and vegetables. I couldn’t resist the smell of onion frying or baking bread with Reglan and other meds, but now I don’t even feel the smell of onion or biryanis being cooked constantly in the house... love him or her, whoever invented this formula."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis helps, but it does not work completely. You will still have vomiting and have to take it often if your morning sickness is severe. It can make you very tired and give you an out-of-sorts feeling. It was expensive as well at $40.00 a week worth of pills."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am currently 11 weeks pregnant, and I have been taking Bonjesta for five weeks. I have missed one day, and in that day, I’d vomited five times. Bonjesta does not completely take my nausea away (as I still have days where I do vomit), but it does take the edge off. I highly recommend this medication. Please use a coupon when obtaining this drug from your pharmacy."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I wanted to feel better with Bonjesta. My doctor prescribed it at 7 weeks, and I have taken it twice a day, but I still throw up twice a day, and I'm almost at 14 weeks. This also makes you extremely tired and sleepy."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My last pregnancy, I had morning sickness the whole time. I took Zofran, but this time it's not recommended. So my doc gave me Diclegis. I've been on it for about 4 weeks, and I can't even get out of bed. I'm having constant headaches and can't stand up without wanting to pass out. The morning sickness went away for a few days and is now back with a vengeance. I stopped last night to see if I could focus a little more today. My toddler is running circles around me, and it's not fair to her that Mommy can't function. I wouldn't try this unless you can't keep anything down at all."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication has been a lifesaver. I had terrible all-day nausea, was losing weight from throwing up. As soon as I started taking it, my nausea decreased about 90%, if not more. It does make you a bit sleepy, but I'll take that any day over nausea. Downside is the cost. They tried to charge me $750 for 100 pills. Luckily, I found a coupon online that got it down to $250. Pricey, but well worth it. Went from feeling like a sick zombie to feeling like a normal functioning human again. I was very hesitant to take any medication and do want to try to cycle off soon. I am almost 16 weeks now."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting "Diclegis didn't help me with my severe nausea and morning sickness. Just in two days, I threw up two times, nothing but blood! As its side effects, dizziness and stomach ache added to my morning sickness as well. I stopped taking it today, and my doctor prescribed Zofran for me, which I've started taking since noon. I got better in less than 30 minutes with that! OMG! Can't believe that I feel normal again."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I'm pregnant with twins, and after 6 weeks, I started having severe nausea, and at 10 weeks, the vomiting came along. My doctor prescribed Diclegis. It works, the only downfall is the aftertaste. I have this horribly bitter taste in my mouth. I don't even know which is better: the nausea or the bitter taste."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My co-worker (who is also pregnant) suggested that I ask my doctor to prescribe Diclegis for me if I ever experienced nausea at any point in my pregnancy. I was sure I wasn't going to experience any of that until I hit week 7, and OH! I was in for a rude awakening. My nausea became horrible from day to day until I asked my doctor to prescribe something for my nausea. Of course, Diclegis was the medicine prescribed. After taking two at bedtime the first night, I didn't feel at all nauseated the next morning, therefore, I didn't feel the need to take the morning dose. Now, only if I feel nauseated in the morning time, I'll take my morning dose (1 tablet) and continue on with my day. The only downside? Diclegis can cause drowsiness."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Before I took this medicine, I was miserable. I didn’t have any morning sickness really in the first trimester, but when the second one hit, I was throwing up multiple times a day and through the night as well. Pedialyte and body armor were my go-to and still didn’t work. Finally, I took this. I take 2 at night, and it kicks in. Once it’s time to take it again, my body usually knows because I start getting nauseous all over again as if it weren’t in my body. I sleep better. It’s amazing, and I hope the effects never wear off. I can actually eat now."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been taking this medicine for about 3 weeks, and it barely works for me. It actually caused severe drowsiness, dry mouth, and dizziness. At first, I chalked all that up to pregnancy till I figured it was the medicine causing this. I accidentally missed one dose, and I felt horrible. The one of not many good things about this pill is it's so small, so it doesn't interfere with my inability to swallow huge horse pills. I will be asking my OB-GYN for another medication so I can at least be awake throughout the day."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication did not work for me at all. I never got relief from nausea and actually threw up twice while on it. I stopped taking it, and the next morning I actually woke up feeling okay. Started a new medication (Zofran), so we'll see if it works. The Bonjesta made me sleepy, especially when taking one at night and one in the AM, but it never helped the nausea!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was prescribed 2 pills at night before bedtime, and this was a lifesaver. Before these pills, I was throwing up and nauseous all day, every day. Around eight weeks, my doctor prescribed me this, and I took it the first night. I woke up and was actually able to eat and function through the day. The only side effect is being more tired in the morning, but I’ll take that over throwing up all day long."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is absolutely a miracle. I started to have severe nausea at week 6, and my doctor put me on this pill. I started to take 2 pills before bed for a couple of weeks, and then I switched to one. Big game changer. I was feeling much better the day after. I tried to stop taking it 2 times in my second trimester, thinking nausea was far away gone, but just a dream. I got back on the pill again and continued taking it since I can’t deal with the terrible morning sickness."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I took Diclegis generic for my last pregnancy and for my current one. In my last pregnancy, the Diclegis was a miracle pill that made life so much easier. This time around, I swear it’s a sugar pill, it didn’t do a thing. I was still vomiting every day. I had some Diclegis left over from my last pregnancy, so I tried it to see if there was any difference, and wow, is there a difference! I checked the bottles and come to find out the pills are made by different manufacturers. The one from Actavis actually works, it has the 2132 on the pill."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting "After 5 weeks of uncontrollable vomiting and severe dehydration, I was admitted to the hospital for a week for hyperemesis. They gave me Zofran, which helped with nausea, but after research I decided to stop that, and then my OB then prescribed Diclegis. It’s not as strong as Zofran, no, but it has definitely helped me keep things down!!!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my 2nd pregnancy, and the nausea and vomiting from the thought of food or taking prenatal pills was taking a toll on my mental. My doctor prescribed me Bonjesta. I took it a few nights, and the next day I had no morning sickness. It's working about 80% of the time, which is good. Just a huge caution: if you decide to take this during the day, make sure you have absolutely NOTHING to do. I made a mistake taking this at 2 pm in the afternoon, couldn't get up until about 8 pm. This pill put me on my butt! I fought the drowsiness as long as I could, but it won. It's now 11:45 pm, and I'm still tired. I will stick to taking this before bed."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication makes my life livable. I’ve been taking it from 12 to 28 weeks and will continue until I deliver. I’ve gone without it twice and deeply regretted it. I was finally able to keep food down and start gaining weight with my pregnancy, thanks to this medication. I take one before bed, and I do think it helps me sleep. On days I’m really sick, or if I miss a dose, I’ll take it in the morning, and it doesn’t make me groggy or sleepy. I truly couldn’t survive without this stuff!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I swear this is a miracle pill, the brand name I take is called Bonjesta. Before I started it, I couldn’t even function as a human being. I laid in bed all day, nauseous, or was over the toilet, dry heaving. Now that I’m on it, though, I can actually do things and function. I’ve made the mistake of forgetting it one day and felt like garbage the whole next day (completely with throwing up while driving) until I could get to my medicine and take it. I still don’t have much of an appetite, but at least now I can actually eat food and drink water. Before I started my medicine, I couldn’t and ended up in the ER for fluid and lost a lot of weight."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At first, the Diclegis seemed to work somewhat. I was no longer vomiting, though I was still gagging at times, but I was glad to be able to keep my food down. However, now I'm in my 2nd trimester at nearly 14 weeks and taking 3 a day, and the nausea is on and off all day, the gagging is intense, and I have even thrown up a few times. I'm not sure what is going on, the doctor even took me off my prenatals to help the nausea, and nothing seems to work. I was planning on decreasing my dose soon and getting off the medication, as I'm still skeptical and concerned about the long-term effects it could have on my baby. This medication also makes me very sleepy all day. It makes it really hard to wake up at 5 a.m. for work."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Dealing with HG with all my pregnancies. This is my 3rd, and Diclegis is an absolutely life saver. I'm afraid skipping a day to see if it's actually the pill or a good pregnancy. I went from throwing up 40x a day with my last pregnancy to one or none! I hope it'll help with heartburn also, then it will be a 10 lol. Now, it will make you sleepy and hard to get up the next morning, another reason I'm giving it an 8, but I'm now 12 weeks, and it's actually not getting me too sleepy anymore as my body is getting immune to it."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "It actually makes me vomit violently. It feels like it's burning a hole in my stomach. I've tried 3 different times. I have hyperemesis and I take Zofran and Phenergan, and when I try to add Diclegis, I vomit 10x back to back until it's out. Awful, awful stuff."
