Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have all-day sickness. I started taking it around 9 weeks, after 24 hours of straight vomiting, and when I woke the next day, I was able to keep something down. Initially, I was sleepy, but I started taking 1 pill every 6-8 hours, and I usually have no sleepiness issues, and I'm able to eat throughout the day. I'm 16 weeks and still on it because without it, I still have times/days when I feel sick. When I forget to take a dose is when it doesn't work - I think each person will need to figure out the best times to take it."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was started on Bonjesta early in my pregnancy to prevent all-day nausea and vomiting. This medication was extremely effective for me. I didn't get dizzy or sleepy. I wasn't gaining any weight because of extreme vomiting until I started this med."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting "After horrible all-day nausea (no vomiting), I was prescribed Diclegis by my doctor. It felt like a miracle drug. I was able to enjoy life again and not be bedridden from severe nausea. I remember looking the drug up online before I got it, and I hesitated to try it based on reviews - DON'T. It works differently for everyone. I tried every natural remedy. This was the only thing that made the biggest difference - I would still feel some nausea towards the end of the day, but it was a night-and-day difference from before. I was not drowsy, as I feared on this drug, and I've been able to wean off it (took 4 a day, then just 2 every evening) after 13 weeks. STOP reading reviews and just try it."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I had extreme nausea, couldn't keep water down, much less any kind of food. I tried 4 different medications before the Diclegis. Only one of those 4 worked, but I felt so drugged, and I was slurring my words. I'm extremely tired with the Diclegis, but I can keep some food and water down. I'm taking 2 at night, 1 in the morning, and 1 at noon. My house is messy a lot, and my 2-year-old sometimes wears pajamas all day because I'm so tired. It's not a perfect medicine, but it's better than not being able to walk across the room without almost fainting and going to the ER once a week for IV fluids and nutrition."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started out taking 2 nightly, but this medicine seemed to make me so tired I could barely function. I am now taking just 1 a night, and even though I still feel a little nausea, it's not all day, and my vomiting has gone away for the most part. It wasn't expensive for me. My insurance did not cover this drug, but I only had to pay $40 for 60 pills. It's a small price to pay for me right now!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My morning sickness started around 6 weeks, and by week 7, I was vomiting up to 40 times a day and ended up in the hospital due to dehydration. I was given Zofran through an IV, but the minute it wore off, I would be sick again. I was going to the hospital every 3 days for the IV and Zofran, then I started on Diclegis, and my world got better. I was still vomiting, but that went down to 2-3 times a day, which was bearable. I didn't notice any other side effects. I was able to return to work and remained on Diclegis for the next 4 months."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Best medication ever! I started taking it at 9 weeks after losing 10 lbs. I'm on my 17 wks and tried to stop it for one day to limit the use, but the nausea is still going. So I guess I'll keep using this medication because it's the only thing that seems to help. 100% with only 2 tablets at night."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I cannot keep water down, let alone food, if I don't take this. I was hoping it would end after the first trimester and I could stop using it daily, but I'm 4.5 months, and I still can't be without it. So grateful it's class A because I don't know how I'd work and function without it. Wishing I didn't need anything! Also, I should add... I only take half the dose: one at night and one in the morning. Two during the day is way too much; you'll feel drowsy and sedated. I learned that day one and realized I don't even need that much to alleviate the symptoms."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my third pregnancy. My previous pregnancies, I had horrible nausea and vomiting. Took Zofran from the time I found out I was pregnant until the day I gave birth. With this pregnancy, however, Zofran wasn't working for nothing!!! Got prescribed Diclegis and took 1 at night (last night), made me very sleepy. Woke up and felt a million times better, though. I haven't felt like this in months! I finally feel normal! This is a lifesaver, my copay was $50, but it was worth every dollar! It's now 8:30 pm the next day, and I still feel pretty good off last night's pill. It did put me out like a light, but reading other reviews, the drowsiness shouldn't last long."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have hyperemesis gravidarum. This is my third pregnancy and third time having it. My doctor gave me Diclegis. I will say it has helped with the vomiting 90%. I only throw up when I get out of bed in the morning. I am able to eat food again without throwing it up seconds later. The downsides that I have noticed are the severe drowsiness and upset stomach at night. My stomach turns all night and makes it hard for me to get comfortable. The drowsiness... Well, I don't wake up until around 10 or 11 a.m. And then I'm back in bed around 3 and sleep until 6 or 7 p.m. And then back to sleep around 10 p.m. I pretty much traded the vomiting for drowsiness. I can't get anything done around my house and hate being in bed nearly all day."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Extremely fatigued. Used as directed during week 7, and getting out of bed was a struggle. Slept all day and went to bed early... 6-7 pm early. This is my first pregnancy, so I thought it's probably 1st trimester fatigue. Stopped using the next day and decided to 'stick it out' without Diclegis. I'm 17 weeks today and had really bad nausea, vomiting every 30 mins this AM and thought, OK, let me give this medicine another shot, I'm desperate... Same deal, nausea/vomiting is gone... because I'm tranquilized! It works, but I may be too sensitive for its drowsiness effects. Not for me."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "From week 6 to week 16 of my pregnancy, I was nauseous every single day and would puke several times a day, every day, it was horrible! I finally gave in when my doctor kept recommending Diclegis and decided to give it a try, though I wasn't convinced it would work. I was taking it for 2 weeks straight, and it was a miracle-a total game changer! I wish I would have started taking it sooner! No side effects for me, and I can now eat normally again! At week 18, I decided to get off of it, thinking my nausea had probably gone away, but nope, a day after I stopped taking it, I ended up puking up my whole dinner again. The next day, I started taking it again, and it works like a charm! I have never had so much success with any kind of medication before! Definitely recommend trying it out!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication was horrible! I don't take medication to begin with but agreed with the doctor on this one because my nausea was so bad. I slept for 17 hours straight. When I finally woke up, I was weak and hallucinating. On top of that, I felt extremely depressed, negative, and suicidal. Which is absolutely not like me, I am a very chipper, happy person, and I've never suffered from depression or suicidal thoughts. I live a very healthy, fulfilling life, and for a medication to do that to someone should not be sold on the market. I really did not like this medication, though it did take the nausea away, the other symptoms that came with it were not worth it. If I could rate this medication with a negative number, I would. Going to stick to my ginger."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "With my 1st pregnancy, I suffered from severe morning sickness to the point that I lost a significant amount of weight. With my second pregnancy, I started getting very sick again and mentioned it to a nurse at my OB-GYN office, and she prescribed me Diclegis. Prior to that, I had tried many other homeopathic solutions such as the Sea Bands and ginger. None of these worked for me. The Diclegis worked from the morning after I first took it until now. At 12 weeks pregnant, I thought I might be out of the woods, so I stopped taking the Diclegis last night. I have been nauseous all day and vomiting! It is obvious that these meds work. I will be taking them again for the next 2 weeks. Only complaint is I'm more fatigued than usual when taking it."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was afraid to take any medication, but my nausea was so bad that I was left with no choice. It didn’t seem to work the first week because I didn’t take it as prescribed, because it made me so sleepy, and I still had to work and take care of my other two kids. I buckled down and took it morning, noon, and night as prescribed. The nausea finally let up, and I felt much better, but I never really felt like myself. I was low on energy and just felt foggy. My stomach would rumble every time I ate or drank anything. I had anxiety about leaving the house because I always felt that I had to use the bathroom, but I was constipated. I listened to my body and stopped taking the medication for a few days, and I felt like myself again, energetic and clear, but that didn’t last long. Once that medicine moved out of my body, I got sick as a dog. I’m taking the pills again, but here come the side effects: insomnia, nightmares, lightheadedness, and fatigue. I hope the constipation doesn’t come back."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At 10-25 weeks, my nausea never let up. When I say nausea, I actually mean vomiting. Every other day, I knew my meals were not going to end well. I expected this during the first trimester, but upon approaching my third trimester, I knew something had to give. I don't expect any drug to work tremendously during the first trimester. Since nausea/vomiting is supposed to 'return' during the third trimester, I decided to try this as the baby is now more developed. It worked wonderfully; I have been on it for one week and can now eat with confidence! I still have some mild, although less, heartburn. This is the only reason I rated 9/10. It would truly be a miracle drug if it could get rid of the heartburn I developed during pregnancy too!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis is a lifesaver! Starting at week 6, I had terrible nausea and vomiting. It was so debilitating, I could barely keep anything down or function normally. About two weeks ago, my doctor prescribed me Diclegis 4x a day, and it's been a game changer. The only thing I've noticed is that I start to feel really sick again if I miss a dose or if I take the medication late, but other than that, I'm feeling great!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Bonjesta is a life-saver. My vomiting and nausea were so bad that I ended up in the hospital after I couldn’t keep food or water down for over 3 days. My doctor first prescribed Promethazine, which helped at first but wore off. Then, Zofran worked for about 48 hours and the vomiting was worse than ever after that. My doctor then gave me some samples of Bonjesta. I began taking just one pill at night, and voila! Not only could I easily sleep throughout the night (this medication makes you VERY drowsy), but I woke up feeling like a new person. Bonjesta is the only medication that helped the following day and not only at night. I skipped one day of taking it and vomited 6 times. I later ran out of pills and missed two days. I took Zofran as I waited for my refill, and was unable to even keep dry toast down, when I had previously enjoyed a cheeseburger, Chinese food, and more on Bonjesta. Bonjesta is the only thing that has truly helped my nausea and vomiting, and I highly recommend it."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "OMG. This drug is saving my life! I found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant on May 2nd. I have not held anything food down since the past 2 weeks. 3-6 times per day throwing up. I went to visit my Ob/Gyn yesterday, and she gave me Diclegis to try. I am in heaven, high as hell (drowsy), but for the first day, I have not thrown up and my food is staying down. Pregnant with twins is not easy. Can't afford to lose too much weight. Everyone doesn't or won't have the same reaction, but I would highly recommend this drug. Precaution, take it at night only."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This was a miracle medicine for me. I had extremely high hormone levels during my pregnancy, and the vomiting and nausea were unbearable. I lost 10 lbs in three weeks and could not even walk. My doctor prescribed Diclegis, and within an hour or two of taking my first dose, I was able to get out of bed. Within a day, I was able to eat and function as a mother for my other two children. The only side effect I've had is fatigue. I absolutely recommend this drug to everyone."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "8 weeks pregnant with twins. Have severe nausea all day and evening. Take 2 pills before bed, and it controls my symptoms until late evening the next day. The website for the drug warns of withdrawal symptoms and how to prevent them, so do your research. Helps me to sleep all day. For me, I would not take it during the day because it does make me drowsy. But without taking it, I would not last all day at work. The website also has coupons."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have taken Diclegis for about a month now, and it has been great for me. Just makes me sleepier than ever, but I can eat, and that's what I needed considering I am already thin as it is. This medicine has been a lifesaver, even though I am having concerns if it will harm the baby, which had made me resort to just one a day. Also, the pharmacy told me the bottle was $700 out of pocket. Yikes. I'm surviving off samples from the office. Thank goodness!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Just started this medication and have had a great improvement! I’m taking the full 4-pill dosage. I was a regular Unisom user before taking this, so I do not find it makes me very drowsy, maybe a little midday, but who doesn’t get tired in the afternoon? Totally worth it to not feel sick and miserable - I had moderate to severe all-day nausea, no vomiting. I’m trying to get on a schedule of taking all 4 spread out (vs. two at bedtime) to get really consistent levels, since it does not make me very drowsy. This medicine helps me get through the day with my toddler! It is a little expensive, but worth it for me, feeling sick is the worst. Together with some lemon candies and magnesium spray for random waves of nausea, it’s a good combo."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I wouldn't suggest taking Diclegis again. The first time I tried it, I had heartburn that I haven't experienced in this pregnancy, and my heart raced uncontrollably bad that I felt like I was dying. I followed the instructions that they gave me, and I threw it up 30 minutes after taking it. I'm afraid that it can harm the baby. I'm not taking it anymore. Never want to feel like that again. I have a terrible headache now. Worst experience ever."
