"Have taken antibiotics, and this is the only one that makes me feel nauseous. I take it with food because otherwise I couldn’t handle it. Two tablets a day until finished. On my forms from the pharmacy, it said nothing about avoiding dairy products! Will persevere."

"I’ve been taking doxycycline for 5 days, 100 mg once a day. I have anxiety, for which I take antidepressants. This drug really aggravates my anxiety and my IBS. Also, I have a lot of back pain. I only have one kidney that works, and I feel it’s aggravated that too, so I’m now stopping it as I can do without the side effects and the added anxiety. This is the second time I’ve taken it, and it was like that last time, so no, I won’t be taking it again. I live in the UK and retired, so I have free medicine."

"Completed 2-week 50 mg bid dosage; still occasionally cough up yellowish/green phlegm. Doctor said to take with food to avoid upset stomach, yet one reviewer says doctor told her to take 2 hours before or after food. Hers worked; mine seemingly didn't. Some stomach cramping and constipation."

"Very bad side effects. I had to stop after the second pill. After reading the possible side effects, I am wondering how this drug got approved. It can kill you in more than one way or make you blind. Ask your doctor for an alternative."

"I had a chest with mucus, so was given doxy, which improved me through the day. I also took Allegra D, so don't know if it was the doxy or Allegra D that was the one that improved me (or both)."

"Doryx is personally my super antibiotic drug. I suffer from upper respiratory infections often, I also suffer from asthma and have difficulty breathing when suffering from chest infections. The only antibiotic that works for me is Doryx. I have tried amoxicillin and other penicillin drugs, but they do not help with my respiratory condition like Doryx does. I had a flu vaccine a few years ago to prevent myself from getting the flu, but instead I got so sick from the flu vaccine I started wheezing, my chest was so tight, and I had severe body cramps, I could not walk without losing my breath. The only drug that saved me was Doryx. Within 3 days of taking Doryx, I was feeling much better and my body pains went away. I have never had any bad side effects, only slight nausea if I take it in the morning without food in my stomach, and if I take it right before bed I can suffer from heartburn."
