For Birth Control "I got prescribed this. I am 25 and have 3 children already. I gave myself a year and some months' break from birth control since I was not sexually active but decided I needed to get on the pill because I started seeing someone and because I heard it could help with acne. So far, I am ten days in and I started on the first day of my period. It instantly made my period lighter and shorter. By day 3, I was only spotting and by day 4 my period ended. Usually, I have longer, heavier periods. I have felt some nausea, but I didn't actually throw up. I drank a lot of water and made sure to eat something before taking it. I do feel a little shaky for an hour after taking it, but it goes away. I hope I haven't jinxed myself, but after reading all the bad reviews, I thought I'd share my good review on it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Isibloom for 2 months now. The first few weeks were rough. I was nauseous and had tender breasts, and as of today the tender breasts are still happening. I haven't had any weight gain. It has lightened my cycle, which is only 2 days now. For the most part, Isibloom is great once you get back your body adjusting to the hormones."

For Birth Control "Terrible! Mother of 2. I used to take Ortho-Cept before marriage. No problems then. I asked my doctor to recommend something for my heavy cramps during my period and my once-a-month pimple that appears every month near my chin area. I am a super healthy person as I eat at home 5 days a week, cook all my meals from scratch, and do no drugs besides a few cocktails on the weekends. I work out 3 to 4 times a week. I am very in tune with my body. I am on month three with these pills, and they have thrown me through a complete tornado! I get nausea, I get bloating, my sex drive is gone! It’s awful! To top it off, I get two periods a month as I start to bloat and bleed on day 15 of the pill! It sucks! I have decided to completely go off the pill and will never return. It is not worth it. I will happily take my two days of period cramps and a pimple every month over this craziness I just went through. I plan to get the IUD and call it a day. Good luck, ladies, no thank you to more hormones."

For Birth Control "This is the worst pill I’ve ever been on. I took it for 11 days, and on the 12th, I had forgotten to take it until it was well past 24 hours. That day made me realize just what this pill had done. The past week and a half is just a haze of unimaginable mood swings (I’m usually laid-back and calm, I cried at least twice daily and even once got so crazy I screamed at my husband). I was sick to my stomach every night and threw up on three of the days. I had some kind of headache, whether small or almost migraine, daily. I couldn’t keep my contacts in all day because my eyes felt dry and irritated. That night (after forgetting my pill that morning), my husband mentioned I may be getting used to the pill and its side effects, as I was my usual self. So I haven’t taken another. I have an appointment with my doctor to figure out something different, I do not recommend this pill for anyone."

For Birth Control "I just started taking this pill this week, so far not that bad of side effects except I'll get nauseous at night usually after I eat. (I take it in the afternoon). I just recently switched birth controls from Sorynox to this one. I was getting horrible mood swings and getting extremely depressed out of nowhere. It was driving my boyfriend crazy. My doctor switched me to this one and told me to take a vitamin B pill with it. So if you're getting mood swings and depressed, try taking a vitamin B pill with your birth control."

For Birth Control "I was initially really scared to start this brand of birth control because of all its negative reviews. But as a broke college student who had already paid for the medication, I figured I might as well give it a try. I take my medication at 7 PM every night. I haven’t felt any nausea or pains so far (I’m on my third pack). I have experienced some weight gain in my breasts and hips, but nothing crazy. I would suggest trying this out if you can, but be aware that everyone is different and everyone’s body is different. 8/10 for me."

For Birth Control "After years of suffering with PCOS symptoms, Apri has saved me! It has eliminated most of my acne. The first month was harsh, but I knew with how out of whack my hormones were, I was going to have side effects adjusting, so I bared down, and now I'm in the last week of my third pack! The first month, I had the worst morning sickness, I didn't know how I was going to handle it. Each month so far, I've thrown up at least once in the first week. I find the more often I eat, the less I feel the sickness. I've gained about 15 lbs. My appetite has started calming down this month. I went from an A cup to a C cup so far, so I stopped wearing a bra. Some nights, the pain is so bad I have to massage my breasts. I don't find I'm holding much water weight anywhere. I have experienced some headaches, but I try to sleep them off. My periods are already lighter, but still adjusting overall. The best thing from all of this is my depression and mood swings have depleted. I'm meeting with my doctor to renew my prescription!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Viorele for a little over a year. It regulates my periods well, and they're only heavy the second day, after that, I barely need a tampon. No nausea, not much bloating. It's helped my acne somewhat. Although the minimal acne I had on my chest and back is gone, I don't feel it's helped my skin enough to be beneficial. My PMS is different before every period. Sometimes I'm fine, other times, I'm super emotional. I will say that this pill has really affected my sex drive. I rarely think of sex, and it’s difficult for me to enjoy it. The only time I do feel the desire is if it's been a while since I've had sex. Overall, I rate it on a scale of 1-10: ⬇️ Acne: 5 ⬇️ PMS: 6 Regulated period: 9 Length of period: 8 Severity of period: 7 Breast tenderness: 2 Desire for sex: 1 I'm not sure if people can comment on these, but if you have mild adult cystic and non-cystic acne and know a BC or other method that has really helped, please feel free to comment."

For Birth Control "This pill sucks. I was always anxious, but this actually made me depressed. Also, I felt hungry every 5 minutes and nauseous for the rest of the day. I always woke up dizzy, I broke out with acne. And I was always lightheaded and fatigued. Advice to people that don’t want to feel like rubbish: never take this! I’m warning all of you."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Enskyce birth control pill for a little over a month, and it has been horrible so far. It has given me side effects so that I am anxious and sensitive to pretty much everything. My boyfriend could say “stop” to me, and I would start crying. I’m skipping the placebo pills, and yet I’m still bleeding (not nearly as much, however) AND cramping. I feel nauseous, and my boobs hurt tremendously. It pretty much feels like I’m constantly on my period (minus the bleeding). I’ve been bloated, constipated, with horrible stomach cramps. I’ve had headaches. I haven’t noticed much weight gain, but mind you I’ve only been on this a month. Apparently, symptoms are supposed to improve in a few months, but that’s ridiculous. I haven’t gotten pregnant, so that’s the only advantage to this pill. I would not recommend this brand to anybody."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Apri for about 3 weeks now. Just after the first few weeks, my boobs have been super sore and have grown to where everyone, including my boyfriend, notices. I have weird cravings and am getting hunger pains, but feeling full quickly. I am nauseous more than usual. This pill has made me feel pregnant just based off of side effects. I did miss one pill, but doubled up the next day with no issues. I do feel tired and get small random headaches, but nothing unmanageable. Not too bad after being on Depo for over a year. Lol"

For Birth Control "PLEASE READ THIS. Do not even consider taking this birth control. I received this through the Pill Direct Club. I have NEVER been so sick in my entire life after taking this pill for not even three weeks. I tried to get through it and hope for the best, but my stomach was in agonizing pain. Felt like I was being stabbed from the inside out. Had to call out of work for two days, would have been more if I could afford it. I could not stay off of the toilet. Constant diarrhea. Constantly nauseous. Headaches. I even thought I was going to poop in my sleep. IT IS THAT BAD. I saw the reviews on here and called to see if I could try a different birth control, and they told me they chose this specifically for me. Don’t listen to them. AWFUL PILL."

For Birth Control "I switched to this by accident from Valette — on Valette I had a very stable mood, clear skin, no weight gain, etc. This pill, on the other hand, is horrible. I had nausea for the first week and a half, cramps for two weeks, and I’ve just come to the realization that my insane mood swings are from this pill. It’s making me very depressed, and I cry often."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control pill in preparation for IVF. I've been on other birth control brands in the past and have never had an experience like this! It's only been one week and I am miserable. Incredibly depressed, emotional, fatigued, and unmotivated. I've also noticed a huge appetite increase. In the beginning, I was also super nauseous, but that is fairly typical in my experience. I know that different pills have different effects on people and it takes a while to adjust, but as I said, I've been on multiple brands and none has ever been this bad. All I want to do is sleep, eat, and cry. Good times."

For Birth Control "Isibloom is a decent birth control. The first month of taking it, I had nausea, tender breasts, mood swings, and low libido. Those were completely gone after the first pack. It keeps me regular, having short and light periods is wonderful compared to the time with no birth control. I’d bleed for 12-14 days straight, and the flow was very heavy. So Isibloom birth control works great for me, and I hope it will work well for you as well. Definitely recommend it!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Kariva for about 8 months, and so far I love it. My skin has cleared up, I have less cramps and far less moodiness before my period. Also, my periods are usually only about 3 days long when they used to be almost a week. I love this birth control! Also, I haven't gotten pregnant yet, which is a huge plus. The only negative is I have gained about 15 pounds since starting Kariva (much of which went straight to my breasts). This weight gain could, however, be from the stress of college and a new boyfriend. Also, the first month I took the pill, I would get incredibly nauseous every day around 8 or 9 pm, but thankfully that subsided. Occasionally, I will get this way on the first pill of a new pack, but it is bearable. Overall, love it."

For Birth Control "I’ve tried this brand twice, and each time just gets worse. First time trying, I was just nauseous and had no energy almost all day. Just started it again, and it’s awful! Mood swings like crazy, random crying out of nowhere, and feeling dizzy. Shouldn’t even be available to anyone."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 3 months. My doctor told me to wait it out for a few months, and I should adjust. The first month wasn't awful, but it seems to be getting worse and worse the more I take it. The only time I feel okay (not nauseous and anxious) is when I'm on my period. I basically feel what I would compare to carsickness 24/7. I have no appetite, I've lost weight, which is nice, but not in a healthy way. I just don't eat due to constant nausea. My sex drive is nonexistent, which is awful for both my husband and me. I have panic attacks regularly, I cry about nothing, and the smell of anything cooking turns my stomach. My acne has cleared up, so that's good, I suppose, but that's the only positive about this pill. Overall, one of the worst I've ever been on. Discontinuing this month."

For Birth Control "First time on birth control and was nervous that I'd have the horrible side effects that I've heard about online and through friends. Went on Apri and have never had ANY side effects (nausea, weight gain, etc.). I think that the horror stories you hear are the exception, not the rule. My Dr. said that she's prescribed Apri for first-time birth control users for years and has never had any complaints about it. Got it for $15/month at first and am now paying $25 through Wal-Mart. Other than the disappointment in price increase, I think that I will be taking Apri for a long time."

For Birth Control "As a few have said, I started out on Reclipsen and got switched to Enskyce. I will give it props in the fact that it doesn't make me feel sick to my stomach at all. I was on one where I would vomit every day. However, I've noticed I'm more sensitive and prone to cry, which I'm not a cryer. I've also gained a good amount of weight while not changing my eating habits, and I just feel bloated and like I have inflammation everywhere. Another thing is I've noticed my hair feeling thinner. Ugh... if they have the same amount of hormones in the pill, why do they act differently?!? grrrrr!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Apri since I was 18, and I never had cramps or headaches during my period. Over the last year, I have noticed such a change when taking this birth control. I have nausea and terrible migraines during my period that I cannot even do anything. Also, I get crazy hot flashes as well. I’m in my late 20s, so I am guessing my hormones have changed and this pill just isn’t doing it anymore. I haven’t really ever had issues with the anxiety/depression like others have (thankfully), but I do notice a huge change in my mood when I am on my period and not taking this birth control. I think the fluctuation in hormones just messes me up for a few days. I would recommend it for people, but like any medication, you need to just be self-aware of how it is making you feel."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Isibloom from Pill Club for almost 3 or 4 months now. I was very nervous about taking it because it was my first time taking birth control. And oh boy, did I change. I was angry all the time, always mad at something, felt like I was going to throw up all the time, my weight changed, I've gained almost 30-40 pounds (maybe that's because I live with my boyfriend lol), my acne was doing okay, but the changes in my period were great! My flow isn't as heavy, the first day it's light, but the second day it's heavy! The cramps are the worst on the first day, but after that, no cramps! My period lasts up to roughly 2-4 days, depends if Mother Nature wants to be nice. ALSO, this is coming from a girl that has sex almost every day or every other day, AND I'm not pregnant. AND we don't use a condom either. I would say this birth control is effective, but it just depends on who you are. And we all are entitled to our opinions. And taking the pill is worth all the struggles! Xoxox"

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for 6 months now, and as far as I'm concerned, it works well. I haven't gotten pregnant, and I don't use condoms with my significant other. The first few months, I may have had a little bit of nausea and bloating, but that's all gone now. My acne has pretty much stayed the same, but my periods are lighter and shorter. They are also very regular. As for changing my weight, I believe Apri has actually helped regulate my weight, so I haven't gained any pounds nor lost any while maintaining the same diet. Mood swings could probably be better, but that comes with all young female adults under stress anyway."

For Birth Control "Let me tell you that the first couple of months of Apri were bad. I had trouble sleeping, nausea, very tender breasts, among other things, but the worst part was the depression and anxiety. I would cry pretty much every day for absolutely no reason. I lost a lot of motivation to do anything. It was pretty miserable, but I decided to stick it out for a couple of months hoping that these symptoms would go away, and they did. I’ve now been on this birth control for about 6 months and I am very happy with it. It regulates my period, which is the main reason I went on birth control because my periods were consistently 10 days long and very irregular, sometimes I’d have a 2-week cycle, sometimes 2 months. Now I get a 5-day period, exactly every four weeks, it’s great. I do still get cramps, but they are not as bad as they were before I went on Apri. I would recommend this birth control if you are prepared for a rough first couple of months."
