For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for one month due to hormonal imbalance, so they put me on birth control to regulate me. This pill is bad. I am literally tired 24/7, regardless of how much sleep I get. I am nauseous all the time, loss of appetite, mood swings, and just no energy. We took my kids to the park, and I didn’t even have the energy to play. I also get insane hot flashes where I feel like I’m literally in a sauna. I literally feel terrible and stopped taking it today and plan on contacting my doctor tomorrow. Avoid."

For Birth Control "I've been on Kariva for 1 month and have had several side effects. My moods swing more so than usual, going from happy and giggly to angry and screaming the next. My abdomen is bloated, I am gassy to the point of severe pain, and I have had bouts of diarrhea and nausea. The first day of my period, I felt so awful! The pain was less than when I was not on birth control pills, but I had horrible gas pains, diarrhea, and I threw up. I will give Kariva another 2 months to see if I adjust to it over time. If I don't, I'm definitely asking my gynecologist to switch me."

For Birth Control "Please don’t be scared to try Isibloom because of all the seemingly negative reviews. I am 20 years old and have been on Isibloom for almost 3 weeks now. I have had ZERO side effects. The only thing that happened was the day after I took Isibloom for the first time, I felt a little nausea in the morning, but after that and since I’ve been feeling great! The pills are SUPER tiny, which I love also. I am taking Isibloom for birth control as well as to stop my period, and it was free through my insurance, but I pay a $15 copay for 3 packs so that I can stop my period! Isibloom is great!"

For Birth Control "This medicine has been in my life for 4 months, and in those 4 months, I’ve had the worst decrease in libido. Sex has become undesirable, and it’s impossible to get turned on. Not only that, I’ve been nauseous and moody. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "This pill made me nauseous the first 2 months I took it. I gave it a while to kick in; after that, it works wonderfully. My acne has gone away, I do not have any weight gain, decreasing weight actually. My breasts have enlarged somewhat. Overall, it's a great pill and very effective. The only downside is I can get emotional, but that's every girl, right? ;)"

For Birth Control "I've been on Apri for about 2 weeks now. The only side effect I've noticed has been waking up at night or falling asleep at night extremely nauseous, but I assume that's normal because my body is adjusting to the pill. Also, for just being two weeks I've noticed my boobs are getting somewhat bigger. I'm not complaining though. Let's see how the next couple of months go."

For Birth Control "I have been taking the pill for about 5 months, and I've noticed a few things. PROS: I haven't gotten pregnant!! My periods are 4 days on the dot, and I don't have any acne or cramping. CONS: I've always cried easily, but now I cry at least once a day, if not more. I am irritable and can get extremely angry very easily, and I used to be a very easygoing person. My period doesn't start until my 3rd or 4th placebo pill. I get nauseated in cars if I am not the driver. I crave weird food that I never usually eat, and I'm exhausted all the time."

For Birth Control "I have been on Kariva for less than 2 years, and I guess I never read the drug information because my sex drive is near nothing. I even get annoyed when sex is brought up. My period is only 3 days long, though, and no nausea or cramping to go with. But the fact that my body refuses sex now is getting ridiculous. My doctor suggested it for me because I am pretty moody, or my moods flipped a lot on everything else I tried. But Kariva was the last thing I could try. I'm breaking up with it. I miss being intimate with my boyfriend..."

For Birth Control "So I have been diagnosed with PCOS and endo and also have high testosterone and diabetes. I started taking this after being off BC for about three years. I recently finished the first month. Missed a couple of days and got back on. The bleeding has been torrential. I have also been stressed and anxiety-ridden, but I am pretty sure that's my job. The odd part? Clot city, but my skin is smooth and clear, and my sex drive is through the roof. But nothing can happen because there's too much blood to have sex. I am currently nauseous now. Trying to get that sorted. But yeah. Really just want to stop bleeding. That's why I took this - I was bleeding for a good 6 months lightly, but now I feel like my body is trying to empty itself. Will update, but for now, I'd like to go to sleep without worrying about my sheets."

For Birth Control "I switched to Apri from Junel (which was a horrible experience). The first 3 days were a nightmare, I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme nausea, but that only lasted 3 days. After that, it has been wonderful, completely got rid of my period, which was the ultimate goal since my cramps were really bad (PCOS). It also has helped my skin wonders and my hair grow really fast. I will say though, and this is the reason I don't give it 10 stars... if you miss a pill and have to double up, you WILL get really bad nausea, so make sure you don't forget a pill."

For Birth Control "When I first started on Apri, it made me nauseous in the mornings. That went away, but around the third month of use, I got really depressed moods for no particular reason and had random bouts of crying. That went away when I stopped taking it. It worked for its intended purposes, but it wasn't right for me."

For Birth Control "I will be starting my third pack next week. This pill has given me pimples, my boobs have grown a cup size, but hurt all the time. I can't even jog. No real weight gain, but just general nausea, pelvic, and back pain most of the time. I will give it another month to subside...."

For Birth Control "I have endometriosis, and my doctor wants me to continuously use this with 3-4 breaks per year to minimize the endometrial growth. I had terrible nausea and bad acne in the beginning, not to mention I spotted for a month straight and then bled a period flow for another month. Taking this pill before bedtime helped with the nausea. I've been taking this pill for 4 months now and have gained 5-10 lbs, the acne is still bad (I'm 34 and no longer had it before Apri). Oh, and my libido is nonexistent since taking this medication. I figured it wouldn't happen to me since I had a very strong libido, but it is now gone. I'm going to ask my doctor to change this medication."

For Birth Control "I have been on Isibloom for 6 months, and that has been my only use for preventing pregnancy and has worked great for that. The first 3 months were my body getting used to the pill. I was feeling nauseous, and my mood swings were all over the place. I was worried it wasn’t going to change. Now at 6 months, I feel normal. That second week, I still get emotional, not depression, but every little thing will make me cry, like “I love my boyfriend too much” or “awwww, that’s so cute,” kind of cries. Other than that, it works great."

For Birth Control "Had not been on birth control for many years and decided that I should go back on as my husband and I were not planning to have kids. I had previously been on Loestrin years before for painful periods and heavy bleeding, but after taking that for a few years, those side effects diminished and I stopped taking birth control. With Ortho-Cept, my periods immediately started getting extremely painful again, maybe even worse than in the past. Also, I developed symptoms of acid reflux, which I have never had before (it is a gross feeling). Have always had decent-sized breasts, but with Ortho-Cept, I gained probably about 15 pounds and became a triple D. Also was nauseous all the time. Anxious to switch back to Loestrin!!"

For Birth Control "Geez! Since this is pretty much my first real experience with BC, I don't really have much to compare it to, but let me tell you ladies something - this pill beat me down like I was in a street fight. I'm 35 and only taking it as part of my IVF process, but headaches are just the tip of the iceberg. I am nauseated the entire day, even though I take my pill at night. I have a fever and hot flashes that make me so angry I want to SCREAM! I have no appetite and lost 6 lbs. in the 9 days because I am also nauseous. I haven't experienced a yeast infection or any spotting, but there is ZERO love-making to get had and my husband is very kind and understands my feeling yucky is a side effect. His issue is my inability to control my emotions. If I'm not furious, I'm crying my eyes out. Save yourself!"

For Birth Control "It's my first month on the Apri pills. I haven't experienced any spotting or acne. I haven't experienced any mood changes, and I still weigh about the same. One day I had a bit of nausea, it didn't last long. Overall, the experience is quite pleasant. I suffer from PMS in the middle of my cycle, and my periods are very irregular. Since being on Apri, I haven't experienced any PMS symptoms (bloating, cramping, mood swings, and headaches in between my cycle). The period is getting back on a regular cycle. So far, so good."

For Birth Control "I started Enskyce when I was 16, so in 2017, and it was absolutely amazing. I had no nausea, no fatigue, and a high sex drive. I stopped BC in January of 2020 and started it back up about 8 months later. Almost immediately, I had horrible insomnia, and my sex drive is at a zero. It’s almost like they changed the pill."

For Birth Control "This pill Isibloom started out great with little to no side effects and seemingly does its job considering I’m not pregnant. However, after 3 months, I began to experience severe mood swings. I cry all the time over little things and sometimes nothing. I also get uncontrollably angry and lash out on everyone. I have no motivation and I’m depressed most of the time. Some other side effects I’ve noticed were painful periods, nausea (to the point that I actually fainted), weight gain, and bloating. This pill is not worth taking, it greatly affected my mental health. After today, I will no longer be taking Isibloom. I absolutely DO NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "Everyone's bodies will react differently, so keep that in mind while you're reading through these reviews. I've been taking this for 2 months now, about to start my third pack. My first month wasn't bad, I practically had no side effects. I cried a couple of times, but I was also going through a lot of changes in my life at that time, so I have no idea if the pills amplified my emotions or not. The second month was pretty horrible. I had really bad nausea that I've never experienced before. I would be sitting there, and I'd constantly feel like throwing up. That eventually went away, but then the sadness/mood swings came back. Again, I don't know if I can blame the pills because I do struggle with mental health, but I feel like it amplified that sadness. It was more like once a week. But now that I'm starting my third pack, it hasn't been as bad. In summary, I experienced some nasty side effects, but they weren't every day, and they didn't last too long."

For Birth Control "I got prescribed Isibloom after I had complications with an IUD. I took it at night around 7-8 pm the first day, and I was up all night with nausea and vomiting. I felt severely nauseous the next day, as well. I decided to see if it would get better after a week of taking it. I missed 3 days of classes because of the nausea, but no vomiting. I thought it was getting better, but I couldn't eat really anything since I had started taking Isibloom. Taking it later at night didn't really help either, as I would wake up the next day still extremely sick. I ultimately decided to stop taking it after the vomiting started up again after two weeks of taking it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Isibloom for almost 4 months. It's the first BC pill I've ever taken. I experienced extreme nausea immediately after taking it for about a month. Other than that, I've had no other side effects. I didn't gain any weight or experience mood swings. I also noticed that I don't get much acne (or any) anymore, but I'm not sure that's 100% because of the pill. Basically, I think the first month is the worst, but it's worth it if you push through!"

For Birth Control "I haven’t been on Isibloom for very long, but so far it's the best birth control I’ve ever been on. I don’t get cramps anymore, my periods don’t last as long as they used to, it doesn’t cause nausea and indigestion like my last one did. I'd like to know if it affects my mood because I haven’t been on my meds, so if anything, that’s probably why. And best of all, it doesn’t cause vaginal dryness or decreased libido like my last birth control did. So I'm pretty pleased with it, and hopefully, all the positives continue as I continue to use it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for a month. I started it to see if it would decrease my flow and cramps. My mood dropped drastically when I first started. Depression usually lasts for a period of time, so I wasn't depressed. However, my mood was very low to the point that it was scary. When my period came, it felt like the worst ever. My flow and cramps were bad. I have other side effects as well, such as nausea and headaches. I'm going to see if my body adjusts to it for two more months only because I need a solution for my periods. I've been on birth control in the past, and I've never had these side effects."

For Birth Control "I wanted to get on birth control because I have had so many scares with men. Although I'm not in a relationship as of now, I just wanted to be prepared. I do have insurance, but going to the doctor all the time is so annoying, so I tried the pill club and they only charge me $10 for shipping and handling. I'm on my 8th day of taking this birth control. I have always been an emotional, moody individual, and I think these pills make it worse. It's been up and down. I want to see what will happen after a month. I used to always be nauseous, especially riding in a car with someone, but so far that hasn't been an issue. I'm scared about the red discharge I'm seeing that so many ladies talk about. If this doesn't work for me, I'm going to get an IUD."
