"I was in a study of this drug at Emory University and finished the study. I have severe allergies, and I knew immediately when I did NOT get the placebo. I am so lucky I got the Clarinex. It worked well, and the only side effect I got and reported was that I became very dry in my nose and throat. I am trying to be prescribed it now, as nothing over the counter is working. Unfortunately, my current GP said he had never heard of it. This is the most effective daytime antihistamine I've ever had."

"I took my first Clarinex 5 mg 3 hours ago. I'm nauseous, lightheaded, shaky, and tired. I'm calling my doctor to tell him I can't take it. I can't wait for it to be out of my system."

"It seems to be helping pretty quickly. An hour and a half later, I have the side effects of dry mouth and extreme tiredness."

"Clarinex is absolutely wonderful when it comes to treating allergic rhinitis, itching, sneezing, rash, asthma-like feeling. However, lately I've been getting a skipped heartbeat feeling and lightheadedness after taking it for 2 years now. I'm guessing it's due to Clarinex since I'm not taking any other medicines other than an occasional Biotin tablet."
