"Needed a hysterectomy & removal of cervix, a sling for my bladder & rectocele. After 90-day waiting period, my husband & I “attempted” to resume intimacy. Felt like a knife was being inserted & I cried in pain, regardless of how gentle he was. I thought something had gone terribly wrong with the operation. Gynecologist suggested trying a hormone suppository, which had many potential negative side effects, including cancer; NOT an option in my book. Intrarosa was suggested. Dr. explained that after having my vaginal hysterectomy, all tissue was new, & because I was postmenopausal, I no longer produced enough hormones for a healthy vagina. Dr. said Intrarosa wouldn’t cause cancer & my body would turn it into estrogen. After a 3-month period, there was still some pain, but nothing like before. After 7 months, intimacy is less & less painful, & orgasms are norm again. Discharge is no big deal, compared to not having knife-like pain anymore!"

For Dyspareunia "I started using Intrarosa, the second day of using it I could feel the difference. My husband and I were on vacation, and the pain during sex was gone. Also, I was not running to the bathroom. I was suffering from urine incontinence and I was able to hold my urine without wetting myself, no pad needed. I love this medication, I feel so much better. A little discharge is nothing compared to what I was feeling before starting on Intrarosa."

For Dyspareunia "After being off hormones, I could not have intercourse, it was too painful. I also suffered from incontinence and acute burning pain after urination, along with constant itching. My doctor prescribed Intrarosa, and after 2 months of daily use, I am again intimate with my husband without pain. No more incontinence or itching, a miracle really. But, I agree that the discharge is difficult to deal with. I put the suppository in at bedtime, usually get up once to urinate. I have purple stains on my toilet seat that are not removable, and on my sheets. I will have to wear underwear to bed with a pad. I always shower each morning, but have constant discharge, so wear panties and a liner each day. I wish the drug company would recommend a stain remover for their product. I have also experienced more hair loss in the past 2 months. I do feel that Intrarosa has restored my sexual intimacy in my 40-year marriage, and I am no longer incontinent of urine or having pain and itching."

For Dyspareunia "I have had painful sex for well over 10 years due to menopause. I was taking Estrace cream for a number of years, and it didn't help much. My doctor suggested Intrarosa. The discharge was horrible. I woke up to find my sheets were stained black. It took a while to figure out the stain was from my black panties spreading to the sheets, resulting from the discharge. I continued to use it for six weeks. I continued to experience a lot of discharge and then, after about a month, I noticed that my hair was excessively thinner. I was losing so much hair that my husband noticed that the vacuum was full every day and the roller was wound so tight with hair that he had to cut it off. I am lucky that I had extremely thick hair. It took about 3 months after I quit using Intrarosa before I returned to shedding normally. I can't say whether Intrarosa was effective for treating painful sex because my plan was to give it 3 months to become effective; however, I quit using it after six weeks."

For Dyspareunia "Oily discharge is profuse - even after taking at night and staying in bed, I can feel insert leaking out. Having a sense of bladder urgency. I've stopped using Intrarosa, having read reports of women saying they experienced crying, raging, and loss of their normal, happy outlook when using this med. I tried it for just 2 days. So glad I tried the sample and did not buy the expensive prescription. Am a health professional, so I've been doing a lot of research. Will keep looking for a totally natural product."

For Dyspareunia "I am 58 years old and have only been using Intrarosa for 1 month (for very painful intercourse). Super simple to use and no side effects of any sort thus far. Quick and simple to use each night. The only complaint I have is the oily discharge. The suppository is a small, waxy insert. You do need to insert it as far up as possible to reduce the “run-off” while sleeping. I do have to wear a small pantyliner each night, which works well, during the day I don’t need one. I don’t think this is a big deal. I find it a very minor inconvenience. I’m only giving it a 6 thus far because I have not experienced any difference yet. Hoping to see some results within the next month. I guess it can take up to 3 months, but hoping for results before then. So far I really love the simplicity of the product... not much mess, no measuring, no anything... just insert and you're done!"

For Dyspareunia "I have only used Intrarosa for 13 days and am trying to decide whether to purchase it again after so many negative reviews here. I have not had any oily discharge (I use it at night before bed). After insertion, I do not get up out of the bed... I just go to sleep. Not sure if it helps with sex yet since I haven't tried that yet since I wanted to give it time to work. I have no problem opening the insert package. I lay a tissue on the bed and pull down the two flaps with both hands and let the insert fall on the tissue. I have the applicator open to activated and just insert the tab into the applicator. I find it very simple to use. I will report back about if it helped with sex."

For Dyspareunia "I used Intrarosa for only 1 week. I simply could not take the oily discharge and oily residue that was left in my panties. Panty liners and pads would no longer stick to my panties, and the oily residue passed through to my pants and ruined a pair of my pants. I attempted to launder my panties but could not get the residue out (I tried Dawn dishwashing liquid also). After washing and drying my panties, the oily residue 'hardened and stiffened' my panties. I threw them all away. I just felt very unclean and oily from the discharge while using Intrarosa."
