For Atopic Dermatitis "For 13-14 years I’ve had eczema, which ranges in severity from time to time. Dr. prescribed this ointment, and despite the severe burning and what it cost, I still kept it on because my skin was so bad at that moment. My whole neck was covered in rashes, and my face had big spots of rashes and redness all over. I was desperate. I put it on at night, and it felt like my skin was being ripped off. Almost one of the worst types of ointments I tried, but it’s possible to deal with it if you have a fan blasting at your face. The next morning, I took a shower... and oh my gosh, all my dead skin peeled off. Somewhat gross but satisfying (?) by the span of 2 days. I got to say, this is the best condition my skin has ever been. My neck is as soft as a baby's butt."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I moved to Houston during an especially high pollen season. For about a month, I woke up with varying degrees of swollen eyes, ranging from slight swelling to eyes completely sealed shut. I don’t think I actually had eczema, as there was no rash, just extreme swelling and dry skin. I was too scared to use steroids on my face and did take oral steroids for a week, but once off them, the swelling returned. I was prescribed Eucrisa and am currently on day 2 of using the sample tubes. The burning is pretty bad, but my doctor gave me free samples of a moisturizing lotion and ointment to mix with Eucrisa to soften the pain. Within hours of using it, my swelling went down and I have woken up for 2 days in a row with no swelling at all. I just hope my body doesn’t reject it in the future, and that it’s safe to use throughout the remaining pollen season (another whole month)."

For Atopic Dermatitis "After a year of trying everything from steroids, using natural remedies, and getting allergy tested for my skin, I finally gave in and purchased Eucrisa (my cost $100). I had read the reviews on here the day before I picked up my prescription, and I was incredibly worried that I would use it and it would burn my face as badly as the others described. For me, it does burn, but not my entire face, just random parts of my skin burn, and it does go away within a few minutes. I have a high tolerance for pain, so I’m able to withstand the burn, but it doesn’t feel great. The positive is my skin was so much better by the morning! I still have some dry spots, but my skin looks so much better than it did. My goal is to get my skin completely clear, then only use Eucrisa as needed."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I tried steroid creams for years, and my dermatitis just stayed the same. My dermatologist gave me samples of Eucrisa, and overnight, I felt so much relief! I swear by this stuff. I actually look forward to putting it on. Yes, it burns, but for me, it is slight and temporary. It almost burns the itch out. I highly recommend that if you have eczema on your hands (I can't speak to any other part of the body), give this a try! It's unscented, slightly greasy, and almost feels moisturizing once it starts to absorb."

For Atopic Dermatitis "My daughter is 6 years old and has suffered from eczema since she was a baby. We were constantly cycling through steroid creams and lotions. Our pediatrician prescribed Eucrisa. At first, my daughter's eczema became much worse. She had new, angry red patches all over her legs. We went back to a steroid cream followed by Eucrisa and Aquaphor. After 3 weeks, her legs and arms are clear. We have been able to avoid steroids by continued use of Eucrisa followed by a moisturizing lotion. Unfortunately, my daughter has started experiencing breakouts on her face and eyes. We have tried Eucrisa, but the pain is unbearable - 20 minutes of unrelenting screaming. In our experience, this product is fantastic for arms and legs, however, the side effect of burning makes it impossible to treat facial eczema."

For Atopic Dermatitis "My daughter recently has red, dry, itching symptoms on her face. I bought all kinds of cream/face. None of them really works. I used the sample Eucrisa, it burns her eyelid, face, but she feels better after 10 minutes. We used an ice cube to help her pain. But all the pain is worth it. Today is the 5th day, her face looks much better. I am so happy with the results. We will keep using it until her face is back to normal. Oh, last thing, now the pain is much less."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I am torn on how to review this. Luckily, my dermatologist warned me about possible burning and suggested I mix it with face lotion. I tried this and, dear god! It burned like nothing I have ever felt. I was tearing up and actually sweating from the pain, which caused more hurt, even so I had to remove it. I eventually figured out if I put on a layer of Aquaphor (which has a similar consistency) and then put on a little Eucrisa, it was manageable but still quite painful (would have a glass of ice water and an ice pack ready to immediately apply to help). This actually did seem to help, and my skin felt smoother and saw less flaking, but I just couldn’t face this torture every day. I hoped the burning would decrease like some other reviewers experienced, but it never did."

"I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this before: Eucrisa does NOT absorb into the skin... it merely 'sits on top.' It's sticky, like Vaseline, and if you use it on your face (like I did), you'll be walking around with a wet, shiny face all day. It didn't work at ALL for my condition (rosacea), and it burned... it was very painful, and it made the redness and swelling worse. I'm not a chemist or anything, but this is the first time I've used a topical medication that didn't absorb into the skin. It makes me wonder how a drug could possibly work at all if it isn't absorbed?"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have eczema that flares up awful with the season changes. This time it decided to flare up on my eyelids of all places, and I was given Eucrisa to help manage it. The medicine works and clears up my eczema dramatically. The burning is terrible! It is almost unbearable and hurts so bad it makes my head ache. So really, it's just depending on where your eczema is located? I will keep using it because my eczema is awful without it, but goodness, it is so painful."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have had perioral dermatitis on my face for years. Nothing had worked, and I pretty much gave up hope. I figured I’d have red, scaly, dry, painful, burny skin around my mouth forever. I ended up with an eczema flare-up on my hands. Elidel didn’t work, and I refuse to use steroid creams. I had to pay a premium for this because my insurance denied coverage since I didn’t try topical steroids, but I’m so glad I did! My face looks and feels normal for the first time in years, and my hands are pretty much healed! I’ve been using it for about a week and a half. I did experience some burning on my face the first week or so, but now I don’t notice anything. I’m so happy I’ve found something that works! I can wear foundation for the first time in years!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Eucrisa was prescribed by my dermatologist for facial eczema, which flares up from time to time. Triamcinolone ointment is truly the only medication that is effective for my skin. Eucrisa burns like lava."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Guys, do NOT use this medication. The last time I had an ointment that burned like this, it was found to be a carcinogen two years later. Find a medicine that's been on the market for a LONG time (I use a combo of Desonide and Triamcinolone) that doesn't cost an arm and a leg."

For Atopic Dermatitis "After paying over $100, my daughter used this maybe 8 times on her face and finally gave up. The intense burning pain, lasting as long as 10 minutes, was too difficult to bear for the small benefit received. She tried to keep up with it and did notice an improvement after two applications, but that improvement went away by the 5th application and then was as bad as before, with the intense burn. A very costly mistake. I wish our doctor had warned us about the pain, although knowing our doctors after years of interaction, I don't think she had ever been warned (by the Rx company) about it (she's not a dermatologist)."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I am unlucky to have been born with eczema and asthma. I have it on my hands. One day I had a bad flare-up from my allergies around my eyes, so bad it was so dry and red! I also started to get it on my back and stomach. I went to the dermatologist and was prescribed prednisone for 10 days. I used pred one time along with the Eucrisa one day, not even a full day yet, and my eyes are almost cleared up and my hands! One time!! I will say I cannot give this 10 stars like I want to because I haven’t used it long term, and the unbearable burning sensation I get on my face for 3-5 minutes from it!! It is awful, but it feels great and works amazing after that time! I guess since I’m using it on my eyes it's more sensitive, but I guess looking at others' reviews, it must just be the ointment working! It is a thicker consistency. I wear face makeup too, and I’m fine with it being applied underneath due to my eczema anyways! But I will say so far I like it!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I never leave reviews, but I just had to put in a good word for this ointment for anyone out there thinking of giving it a chance. I had a terrible flare-up of eczema across my cheeks after living abroad for a year in a particularly polluted environment. I had eczema as a kid (on my arms), but this was new for me. I tried using steroid cream that my derm prescribed, which cleared it up but just resulted in the flare coming back after a week. A few weeks ago, I got my hands on Eucrisa, and after just one or two applications, it cleared up my eczema almost completely! I haven't needed to apply it in over a week now. In terms of the stinging sensation many people have mentioned, there was a very light burn when I applied the ointment (for maybe 30ish minutes). But it didn't hurt at all, maybe because my eczema didn't have any open cuts/lesions."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I loved Eucrisa for the first few weeks. It burned a little and then caused peeling, but after that, my eczema was amazing. I primarily used it on my hands-where I have the most severe eczema. After constant use, my hands were getting more red and itchy-in places I didn’t usually have issues, like my palms and the back of my hands. So I used more, and it got so much worse. I stopped using it and went back to my normal steroid cream, and I went back to my baseline. I was so excited for a non-steroidal cream, but I had a bad reaction with continual use :("

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have been dealing with eczema on my face for about 5 years now. Nothing worked until Eucrisa, and boy, did it work! It was really hard to believe how quickly it worked for me. Hydrocortisone only took away about 70% of the signs and symptoms. Elidel - maybe 90%. Eucrisa completely cleared it up! Yes, it burns, especially on my eyelids. In the beginning, it burns a lot! But after my skin healed up, it quit burning. Now I hardly notice it. It is only painful for me if my skin is raw. I've been using it now for about 2 months, and my eczema is GONE."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have been struggling with atopic dermatitis for at least 10 years. I have had patches on my forearms, thighs, hands, and my feet have been the worst since the beginning. There isn’t enough space to list all of the products and techniques I have tried to get things under control. I have been using Eucrisa for 3 days, and I can already see and feel an astounding improvement. It’s too early to tell if this product is the answer to my prayers, but what I see is promising. While I was warned about the possible burning issue, I can say that this far I have not felt any discomfort."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I am experiencing eczema or atopic dermatitis on my hands and eyelids. This is recent, just started this year. I’ve had one on the back of my lower scalp since 2004. I’m older, 58 years old now. But like I said, just this year I have had issues with my hands and eyelids. Eyelids are bothering me the most. My dermatologist recommended Eucrisa for both my hands after I used a steroid on them, plus for my eyelids. She also prescribed Eletone for my eyelids to use first. Eletone has parabens, and I’m allergic to them. So it hasn’t worked well. I went ahead and tried Eucrisa, which fortunately my insurance accepted. I still need to use more, but so far, so good. I was worried initially as it does sting and burn like hot sauce. But that only lasts about 10-15 minutes. I read up on it, and it seems to be a normal reaction and not an issue. My eyelids are feeling much better. Hopefully, inflammation will go away too. It says it can take up to 30 days. I’m going to give it a go!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "The cost of this med is outrageous. It's only affordable to people with money. Eucrisa burned my face severely. Arms/legs helped little, but after only 2 days, I developed a rash-like area on my trunk. I stopped using it on my arms and legs, and the rash on my trunk was gone. Vicks works better than this and is cheaper. Also, soaking in a warm bath with DEAD SEA SALT 100% pure helps. It's a ridiculous and horrible experience. I can't understand why they can't find a cure. It's horrible to deal with and is ruining my life. I have tried everything, and steroids have made it worse. God help us."

For Atopic Dermatitis "This medication burns like someone is pouring acid on your face. After using it the first time at night (which I cried because it burned so bad), my face became less red after 30 minutes to an hour, but by the next day it looked exactly the same as it had prior to using the cream. My dermatologist recommended that I put facial lotion on first and then apply the Eucrisa to prevent it from burning, but that turned out to be a laughable solution. The second day, I had to talk myself into applying it on my already sore face. It burned for 30 minutes. I have applied it for 5 days now and my eczema is exactly the same; all over my face, weeping, bright red, and itchy. I give up and I really hope my dermatologist can find something else because it is just not worth the pain for no result. I really wanted this to work. The only positive thing I can say is it applies easily and my dermatologist provided me with a coupon that made it $30. Not a fan."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Yes, it did burn like crazy when applied. It initially improved the eczema on my hand, but it went back to not really doing much good within a week, and the eczema on other parts of my body, which were so minor as to not be noticed, have spread like wildfire and gotten exponentially worse. Like a spot the size of a dime has now spread to half of my arm, and these areas were never bad until now, and I've had eczema for about 6 years."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I got a tube of this, and it really doesn’t work if you have severe eczema. I generally use a steroid ointment that, with one use before bed, it’s about halfway gone/better by morning. All this has done is made my skin burn and make it so much worse!!!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Well, it burned a little bit at first on my first day I used it, and after that, no more burning, but a lot of itching. I'm glad my doctor had samples he gave to me before I spent $100 on the tiny tube and wasted my money. How does this drug company expect a tiny tube that's very expensive to treat atopic dermatitis, which covers a person's whole body? Also, don't they realize that us people with this skin disease are not millionaires? Most of us are middle class or hardworking blue-collar workers working 2 or 3 jobs just to pay our bills and put food on the table. It's not our fault that we got this disease. We never asked for it. So why are they charging so much? Anyway, I'm not crazy about the price or the itching it causes me after I put it on."
