Clobetasol topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I have tried really almost every corticosteroid medication on the market, including topical triamcinolone and oral prednisone. However, this product is by far the most effective because it immediately reduces the swelling and inflammations caused by my skin disorder and disinfects the affected area. It also doesn't cause the weight gain and mood swings of prednisone, so it's considerably safer and milder. The only unfortunate parts of this medication are that it can be quite greasy, causing mild discomfort, and can cause stinging when applied, especially if the wound is new. I would highly recommend this to anyone struggling with their dermatological problem."

For Psoriasis "I used it for 3 weeks, and then my Dr. instructed me to stop using it for a week, and by the next week, my condition completely flared up again. I know this medication works extremely well at treating the condition and preventing it from additional flare-ups. I have plantar psoriasis on the balls of both feet. It starts out with bumps under the skin, and in 2-4 days, they become big, water-filled blisters that are the size of a dime, most of them are the size of a quarter, and the largest one I had was bigger than a half dollar. They were 75 percent healed when I had to stop using it for a week, and on day 5, I felt more bumps under the skin. Sure enough, I have 5 more on the ball of the same foot in the same area. Good grief. It's very painful."

For Eczema "After being on a journey for what felt like forever, of trying to calm my severe eczema, I was given this cream. The cream was awful. I was literally starting to think that I was just going to have to live the rest of my life with this extreme itch/burn/tingling/pain. I tried everything down to a bleach bath (which, surprisingly, works the best out of anything that I have tried), and went to 20+ doctors and therapists and holistic centers... etc. So, I was prescribed this, clobetasol propionate, picked it up from the pharmacy, went home, and applied it to my hands. About 10 minutes later, I was in the fetal position on the floor, wanting so badly to cry and scream, but the pain had me paralyzed. My skin has felt like water... slick and thin, ever since. Now, even water touching me makes my skin throb. I’m sure this isn’t a reaction that happens to many people, or at least I hope. I have decided to try to learn to cope and adjust to a new life of just being in eczema pain."

For Dermatitis "I have localized scleroderma - Morphea. I have patches all over my back, very painful, swollen, itchy, looks red-purpleish, can't stand anything touching my skin. My doctor prescribed clobetasol 2x a day. He said that the patches on my back were so swollen that I would not notice any changes for at least a month. Well, I've only used clobetasol for 2 weeks and I can see a big difference, my skin doesn't hurt, itch, it's not swollen, it does not look irritated, it even looks healthy!"

For Lichen Sclerosus "My obstetrician/gynecologist cured the vaginal lichen sclerosus by surgically using extra skin. Still, I have to use the ointment 2x a week on the anal skin to keep the area from pain, itching, and bleeding. On other days, since it is not recommended to use too often, I use raw shea butter, with emphasis on 'raw.'"

Clobetasol topical for Psoriasis "I've had severe psoriasis since infancy. I have it on the back of my scalp, the nape of my neck, outside each ear, and inside one ear. I've tried every cream and shampoo, nothing worked. At 15, my doctor came across samples. It hurt, it burned, but it worked. The doctor had to push it through Medicaid. They approved it for me and at no charge. It doesn't leave my scalp greasy. I used it off and on as symptoms flared. It removed it from outside my ears and dramatically reduced it on my scalp and inside my ear. It starts showing results within one week. It took three weeks for it to disappear off the front of my ears. I was young and didn't continue to use it. If I had used it right (I always hated the burn), I believe it would have completely removed it from all areas. Once I turned 18, I didn't have Medicaid and wasn't able to afford insurance or the medication (very costly). I am 29 years old, and it has never returned on the outside of my ears. I do still have it inside my ear and on my scalp. I have lived with it since. Please recommend this medication to your doctor if you can afford it. You won't regret it. Best I've ever used."

Clobetasol topical for Eczema "Awful. I have eczema, but my hands are very sensitive. My hands usually bleed and are scaly. Well, this just made everything worse. I cried because the pain was so bad. I switched to Opzelura, and my eczema is barely noticeable!!! STAY AWAY."

For Lichen Planus "I noticed one reviewer said this medicine exacerbated her Lichen Planus. I believe this is what's happening to me. Been on it a week and my oral sores are worse than when I started. Beyond painful."

For Lichen Sclerosus "I had been to two doctors who couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Finally, I happened to see a nurse practitioner who knew what I had right away: Lichen Sclerosus. I had gone untreated for a year and was in terrible pain. There was severe disfigurement of my anus and vulva. The clobetasol treatment completely got rid of the pain and itching immediately. I had my first full night’s sleep in months. This med is wonderful for this disease."
