"I had 3 colonoscopies over a three-year period. I used Prepopik for all 3. I actually liked the sweet/sour taste, and the doc said that I was clean as a whistle! Love it! P.S. also used an online coupon to get some money off."

"I took a packet at 6 pm after only having liquids for the whole day and had several bowel movements. It was nothing as intense as when I did other prep drinks, but I did go. When I did the second packet at 11 pm, I immediately vomited. It was pure water. I went to the colonoscopy anyway and told the nurse I vomited but thought I was empty. The doctor did the colonoscopy, but I was not prepped properly, so now I have to do it again! So annoying!!! I think this concentrated formula is too strong! Made me feel dizzy and very nauseous. Rather just use the old one."

"Took the first dose at 4 and second at 9 p.m. Woke up at 3 a.m. with severe chills, nausea, and vomiting that then triggered a migraine. Am very weak a day later and cannot remember most of the day yesterday when I had the colonoscopy."

"Had an endoscopy (w/biopsy) and colonoscopy (double adventure) yesterday. Not my first time having procedures but first trial with Prepopik. Much easier than expected. Started 1st pack around 5 pm & drank more than the 5 8 oz clear liquids (rotated between chicken broth and Gatorade to balance off the sweet/salt cravings plus have extra electrolytes to avoid dehydration). The meds kicked in about an hr later and continued till around 10 pm. Second dose at 1 am. Had plenty to drink again. Doc recommended I take Gas-X (1 tablet after drinking the med). No cramping! Slept from 3-6 am. Had a mild headache (thought caffeine withdrawal or being hungry). My procedure was at 9 am. Headache/nauseous till procedure but recovered fine! Would recommend meds."

"Prepopik is horrible. If your doctor recommends it (which it seems like they are because people like the idea you only have to drink 5 oz two times), it does not work! I took it at 5 pm as instructed, drank more than the amount of water instructed, and did not have a bowel movement until 10 pm - it was normal, and then only until 1 am did it seem to be working, but just that one time. Then I started it 2 hours earlier than instructed the next morning since I knew it took a long time to work... 4 hours later, still nothing. I had to call the doctor, and they said to go get an enema or else my procedure would be canceled. Imagine going through all that prep for no procedure!! Prepopik was the worst colon prep I have ever used."

"Took Prepopik as directed for colonoscopy. Day before scheduled colonoscopy, I took it at 4 pm and 10 pm with clear liquid as directed. Didn’t poop much, but I was bloated. Went to the store and bought Dulcolax and magnesium citrate at 1 am. Hopefully, this works and they let me get my colonoscopy tomorrow at 8 am. No more Prepopik for me."

"As a colon cancer patient, I have had colonoscopies every 6 months for years. As an old pro, I must say that I have NEVER experienced anything remotely as totally ineffective as this supposed preparation. As a result, I must reschedule for after the first of the year and pay my full medical deductible immediately, rather than no cost because the deductible is already met for this year. My husband will be docked pay for taking off to drive me. I will have to take another week off blood thinner. And I feel nauseated, bloated, and angry. Shame on Prepopik for taking good folks' money with false claims!"

"3rd colonoscopy. Cost $65 after insurance! First dose at 6 pm. Very palatable. Drank 5 cups of liquid as instructed. Medicine started working within an hour, but the trips were very spaced out. By 10 pm dose, I was nowhere near 'running clear.' Was supposed to drink 3 more cups by 12, but only managed 2. Still slow going - in the bathroom every hour right up to the procedure. Needless to say, I was exhausted. I told the doc I wasn't sure I was cleaned out, but after the procedure, she said it was okay (and I'm cleared for 5 years!). But - terrible cramps after the procedure. Asked my husband to stay near because I thought I'd faint from the pain. And 24 hours after dose 1, I'm still prepping. Food is going right through me. Never again. Drink tons of water if you try it."

"What a waste of time and money! Easiest prep I've ever done, but no results for 13 hours after 1st dose, then took 2nd dose 6 hours before procedure and got no more results at all. Had to cancel procedure. Took 2 more days to get the Prepopik out of my system! Now I get to go back and discuss alternative preps and do it all over again."

"I was prescribed Prepopik to take before a colonoscopy. I took the first dose at 6 PM and drank 5 8 oz. glasses of water over the next couple of hours. The medicine didn't start working until 11 PM. Only went to the bathroom 3 times, and it didn't completely clean the colon. I was instructed to take the 2nd dose at 5 AM the following morning. I took it at 4 AM, given how long it took to work the evening prior. I took the 2nd dose followed by 3 8 oz. glasses of water over the next hour. The medicine finally kicked in around 8 AM. Again, only had to go to the bathroom twice, but it was finally all yellow liquid. Went for the colonoscopy and it seemed to go well. I started evacuating more Prepopik after going home. Would not recommend Prepopik."

"I was prescribed Prepopik for a colonoscopy prep. I have had three colonoscopies in the past and never had a problem getting 'clean' by following the instructions. However, with Prepopik, this was not the case. The first dose was completely ineffective. I had to urinate almost immediately each time after drinking the prescribed fluid, but it did nothing for my bowels. The following morning, taking the second dose, the Prepopik did begin to clean out my colon, however, not well enough for my early afternoon procedure. My copayment was $75 for this ineffective medication."

"I didn’t even finish the first dose, and it was working already. No pain, much easier to use than other nasty preps, one of which I threw up and had to reschedule the colonoscopy. So much easier to drink and tasty, I wish they had given me this the other times!"

"I took it as instructed, drank even more water than prescribed, and it did not work well. Nothing happened after the first packet, and I had some BM after the second, but it did not clean me out enough according to my doctor. Loved the taste and small amount to drink."

"I have had many colonoscopies, and this was the worst prep I ever used. None are pleasant, but for me, this is the worst. Took the first packet at 2:00 pm. It took an hour to start working and produced several loose bowel movements and lots of cramping and nausea. Took the second dose 6 hours later at 8:00 pm. Had a loose b.m. within 15 minutes and then nothing until four hours later after lots of cramping and bloating. I have consumed way more liquid than the instructions say to, and it is now 3:00 AM and I am still not clean. My scope is scheduled for 11 AM, and my experience tells me there is no way I will be clean by then. I STRONGLY ADVISE you to not use this."

"My body is sodium sensitive. I took the first dose as prescribed, and within 15 minutes, I had a splitting headache and my blood pressure went up to 190/80. When I called the doctor's service, they warned not to take the second dose and said that the upper and lower exams could not be done with pressure that high and for me to call my primary physician if the numbers didn't go down."

"I used this for my first colonoscopy, so I have no other comparison. It did not do the job. I had to cancel my procedure because of this and ended up using a Miralax/Gatorade combo in order to complete the colonoscopy the next day. Wasted time and (insurance company’s) money."

"I've had a colonoscopy every year since I was 10 years old. I am now 31. I have Crohn's disease. I have had diarrhea for two weeks. After drinking this, I had the first solid BM. Last time I will let my DR prescribe this as prep."

"Easy to take, especially with all the clear liquids now available (core peach water, etc.), clear broth, ginger ale, etc. First dose worked after about two hours. 3:30 am dose worked after two hours. Cost was $140 with $10 off from my insurance. Well worth it. Very different from my last prep. Tip: eat lightly a couple of days before prep."

"The stuff is nuclear. I hated it, but it cleaned me out big time. Second dose gave me a huge headache, nausea, dry heaves, dizziness, sweats, chills, and fear. I was totally cleaned out. Third colonoscopy, but first and last time on this."

"I followed the instructions on the product. My gastro suggested that I take four other laxatives, two days before my procedure and two the night before, followed by the Prepopik prep. I drank twice the recommended water, and still, I had a 'dirty' colon. I knew, even before the procedure, that I wasn't clean and informed the doctor. He told me that I was right... If I knew it before he did, this is not the stuff for me!!"

"I took this prep to the T. And did not do the job. The two Ducolax I took the evening before had more of an effect on me than this prep. I am miserable right now because I have two more days of agony, thanks, Prepopik."

"Took as directed, but much less effective than other preps. My bowel was not clean, and the doctor says I have to do another colonoscopy soon. Although perhaps more pleasant to consume than some others, what good is it if it doesn't do the job? Also, at 14 hours post-procedure, I'm experiencing far greater post-procedure discomfort than I have with other preps. Stay away from this product!"

"I cannot believe I had to pay $148 for this! Medicare Part D didn't cover it... so the pharmacy called the doctor to let him know which ones they did cover - but no, he said this was 'the best.' So I stopped eating 24 hours before the colonoscopy. Nothing but water, chicken broth, and apple juice. Trust me, I have taken milk of magnesia and had 100% better results! When I told the doctor that I didn't feel my colon was cleansed enough, they went ahead and did it anyway... anything for a buck! Of course, he said he couldn't finish and only got the lower bowel - duh! Next time I will do my own cleanse! This is just a shame knowing he got a kickback from the pharmaceutical company!"

"This prep did nothing to help get ready for my procedure. I wanted less to drink, but this wasn't it. I quickly had to call for Golightly, or I would have had to have a redo. Not worth the chance with all the unpleasant few days before. :("
