"Hypocalcemia due to thyroidectomy. Started with 0.5 mcg calcitriol for 2 years, and kidney function started deteriorating. Endo took me off calcitriol and put me on Tums and vitamin D. Kidney function is back to normal and no hypo symptoms."

Calcium carbonate "I love these because my nails grow and are strong. The other forms of calcium don't do that."
