"Worst med ever... literally coming out both ends at the same time! Sitting in hot bath, only thing that helps the severe stomach pain! OMG, I prefer cramps, at least those get knocked out with pills... this medicine is awful."

"I had no issues with side effects from Zithromax whatsoever, although the doctor said it would likely cause stomach upsets (again, never experienced this though). Unfortunately, though, it did nothing to help the bacterial infection. It's only been about two days now... I would have thought there'd be some improvement, but it still steadily gets worse."

"Brand name Zithromax works better than the lower quality generic, however, I've found that Zithromax isn't the greatest when you have infections of both upper and lower airways. It may be due to antibiotic resistance. Same thing with amoxicillin alone happens: not as effective as it used to be years ago."

"I was diagnosed with campylobacter... bacteria from eating undercooked chicken. Bought out of a deli in my local town. Sick as a dog for 3 weeks. Was prescribed Zithromax for 3 days... 500 mg. I am allergic to everything and only require baby doses of medicine. I was scared to take this medicine after reading some of the very scary side effects. My husband put his foot down and made me take it. I had high anxiety, but yesterday was my last pill. I feel a lot better and I didn't have a side effect that I am aware of. I am very surprised, seeing as I am so allergic to meds. Don't know how long it will take to get out of my system. But so far, so good. I think it fixed my problem... or I hope it did. Aside from the self-induced anxiety I had about the meds... I had a good experience. Hopefully, nothing will happen until it makes the rest of the way out of my system."

"I came down with a bacterial infection in my lungs. Within 24 hours, I was put on Zithromax 500 mg, one tablet a day. Day three, I felt 75% better. And not one side effect!"

"I am currently experiencing 18 rare side effects. If I had seen this list beforehand, I would have refused treatment."

"Severe anxiety and nervousness, horrible diarrhea, awful stomach ache, intense nausea, freaky nightmare, horrific headache. I only took 2 pills, they were 250 mg apiece. Don't recommend whatsoever. Now I'm feeling like death, wondering when the effects will wear off."
