For High Cholesterol "Started feeling pain in my knee and shoulders and forearms. My husband takes “Red Yeast Rice” for high cholesterol. The doctor told him to keep taking it because it works and has no side effects! I’m going on red yeast rice! Tired of all these side effects."

For Hyperlipoproteinemia Type IIa, Elevated LDL "After 3 months, LDL levels came down to an acceptable level and overall cholesterol dropped to a normal range. Wonderful. However, reduced leg strength and tinnitus were noted after 3-4 weeks of being on it. I continued use but ringing increased in both ears and pain in legs worsened. An ENT doctor told me to discontinue the med as these are known side effects of this drug. Not good. Hoping to see a decrease in tinnitus and get a good night's rest!"

For High Cholesterol "Was prescribed 20 mg a day from my Dr. After 3 weeks, I was noticing severe shoulder pain in my right and left shoulders and forearms. My arms were so weak I couldn’t hold them above my head. I stopped taking this drug immediately after reading the reviews. I am taking red yeast rice and CoQ10 every other day, 1 tab each. My husband has been taking this for his high cholesterol, and it has lowered his scores substantially! With no side effects! His Dr says, whatever you're taking, keep taking it!"
