Atomoxetine for ADHD "They said I could experience insomnia, constipation, and nausea, and that if I stuck with it, they may go away. I got all the side effects after 4 days of taking this and not sleeping at all, having absolute constipation on lockdown, and feeling like I just rode the zipper at the county fair if I so much as sat in a vehicle or turned my head too fast. I stopped taking this stuff! It took another 5 days to slowly get back to being able to sleep, being able to use the restroom normally, and once again experiencing no nausea. I would recommend rejecting any doctor who prescribes this and run if they try to use you as a guinea pig and push the medicine on you!"

Atomoxetine for ADHD "I've been on 25 mg of Strattera for almost two months now. It's hard to tell if it is really working. I mean, here I am writing a review on it when I'm supposed to be doing university work. I think I noticed a slight improvement after a few weeks, but lately I have been very stressed, so maybe that is negating the benefits of the Strattera. The only side effects I have had were nausea in the first week and random chills during the first week as well. Both are long gone now. I also have been having trouble sleeping, but I'm not sure if it is from the Strattera, because I've had some good nights of sleep here and there. I also think that Strattera has helped improve my anxiety a bit along with my Viibryd. I might increase to 40 mg soon. If my sleep gets worse, then I'll know it is from Strattera. I'll keep taking it and see how I feel. Aside from the sleeping issues potentially being from Strattera, I haven't noticed any side effects, so it is not a hassle for me to continue trying it."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "Well, it worked. That's about all I can say. You'll be able to focus, and if you don't mind the fact that the ONLY thing you'll be able to focus on is how tired, nauseated, and occasionally slightly mad you feel, this is the medicine for you. Despite that, it's worth noting that I'm only 17 and ~130 pounds, which is really close to the minimum weight on the box. Based on what I've seen, it seems to work better for ~30-year-olds who aren't underweight. Not a professional, obviously, though, so take this with a grain of salt."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "I took my 1st 10 mg. I ate 1/2 peanut butter sandwich with banana and a cup of coffee. Within an hour and a half, I was nauseous and gagged. I had hot flashes throughout the morning. I felt better by late afternoon. I lay in bed all night long, beginning at 9 pm, trying to fall asleep. I may have a total of two hours. It is time to get ready for work, and I am exhausted. I have to eat breakfast and start all over again. I am sure I can endure these beginning effects but plan on calling the doctor."

For ADHD "Male, 50s. Atomoxetine worked pretty well. But the nausea and sexual side effects make this drug more problematic than helpful. Burning ejaculation really takes the fun out of things. I'm told that a lot of the side effects will lessen over time, but after 10 months, they continue. Looking for something else now."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "30-60 currently 80 mg... 4 weeks in? Mental effects: I am very paranoid. I had suicidal uncharacteristic thinking, experience anxiety, and very low frustration tolerance for anything. I trust almost no one. However, my explosive temper and impulsiveness seem to be almost nonexistent, better described as sedated. My intrusive thoughts are calming but in an eerily quiet way. Definitely calmer, but many apps open in my head and none will close then. My hyperfocus is now like an intermittent hyperfocus, which is very annoying. Zero creativity, reflecting on my life before medication, leads to depression and very low self-esteem, which has gotten pretty bad. Physical effects: seriously debilitating nausea (TAKE THESE PILLS WITH FOOD ALWAYS). I have obtained what appears to be a bladder infection, but I believe these are something to do with this medication. Slow urinating, sore testicles, abnormal bowel movements. I have appetite loss, taste loss, vision has gotten worse... I don't recommend."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "This medication sucks. I took 20 mg Adderall XR, which worked wonderfully for my ADHD, for a month, but had to get off of it because I have Tourette Syndrome, and Adderall aggravated my tics. My physician then put me on Strattera. It is extremely expensive since it is patented until May 2017, and I was given a sample 6-week starter titration pack (from 25 mg to 80 mg). I took a 25 mg capsule last night around 7 PM, and an hour later, I was nauseous and lost my appetite, and I experienced sexual dysfunction (it took over an hour to reach a burning, painful orgasm). The next day (today), I am constipated and depressed. I'd recommend clonidine or guanfacine before trying this garbage for ADHD."

For ADHD "It has done wonders for my emotional dysregulation and comorbid anxiety disorder. It's somewhat less effective in helping me manage my focus, but there are definitely some improvements. I can't take it on an empty stomach, or I will get horrible nausea. On each dose increase, it induced strong drowsiness and made me irritable for a few days."

For ADHD "11/10 - this drug has changed my life!! I used to have crippling anxiety, so bad that I could barely leave the house. I got scared of my own heartbeat, scared of feeling dizzy. Was scared to look at the moon. This drug was prescribed for ADHD, but I was so, so, so nervous to take this medication. Side effects on day 1 were not super fun. I felt nauseous, got sweaty, very tired. Essentially zero side effects after that, aside from waking up in the night sometimes. I am a NEW PERSON!! I cannot experience anxiety anymore. My ADHD is manageable, and I have a new lease on life. I am so eternally grateful to have found this medicine."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "I am very new to the medication Strattera. I have been taking it so far for a week. I am currently on 40 mg once a day, and I am hoping for clarity while using this drug for my ADHD. I am also hoping for the procrastination to go away. The only side effects I have experienced so far are nausea and drowsiness. I will give further reviews as I continue with this medication."

For Social Anxiety Disorder "Cures my social anxiety when sertraline and other SSRIs did nothing. Plus, the added boost of energy is a bonus. Maybe I was lucky, but I also had no side effects with this one while other meds gave me nausea. I'm so happy I found what works for me!"

Atomoxetine for ADHD "It made me want to sleep all day and made me extremely nauseated. After a month of taking 40 mg, it didn't touch my ADHD, and after a month of 60 mg, still nothing happened except the side effects."
