Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "Judging from the reviews, I’m clearly not the only one who has had a HORRIBLE experience with the manufacturer “Lannett.” Please, anyone having issues with them, fill out a complaint form to the FDA MedWatch! They need to know how badly it is affecting people! Unbelievable!!!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I've struggled with ADD my whole life. When I was a kid, I was put on Ritalin for a few years, and it was amazing at helping me concentrate. Before I hit middle school, my pediatrician took me off of it, saying I 'grew out of it'. I went on through life thinking it was just in my head. I'm now 32. I was always fog-headed and had trouble concentrating. I talked to my doctor, and she said I'd have to see a psychiatrist to get on the medication. My boyfriend's mom talked to her family doctor, and she said she would help me. I met with her and was put on Adderall XR 20mg in the morning and 5mg IR in the afternoon. It's simply amazing. I lost some weight, and I can clearly focus. My boss has noticed a huge difference, and I got a promotion at work!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I was taking Adderall 20 mg twice a day. It made me anxious and almost paranoid at times. I had extreme highs and extreme lows, but I could focus. I have been on Mydayis for a week now, and I do not have the anxiety I had with Adderall, and I am not super hyperfocused and chatty like I was on Adderall. Mydayis feels more natural, if that makes sense. I feel more like myself now, and even my boyfriend said he notices a change. A good change. Also, I had a bit of sexual blah and found it difficult to be 'happy,' and Mydayis gave me my groove back. I can easily fall asleep, but I noticed if I don't lay down and settle, I can stay up. I can definitely fall asleep on it. I like it. I think it depends on the person. I myself don't like feeling like I am bouncing off the walls, and Mydayis doesn't make me feel that way, but I am more organized and productive. Worth a try to see if it works for you. Feels healthier."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "Went from 70 mg Vyvanse to 25 mg Adderall XR, and I'll just say the Vyvanse was not effective for studying or focus. It made me confused, made me think too much, and made me feel kind of bad. I switched to Adderall XR, and I was immediately able to concentrate and focus, I was not confused anymore either. I am on 25 mg now, but I think 30 mg may work just a little bit better. Overall, Adderall XR is the best thing I've ever taken for my ADHD! I also do not feel overstimulated or high from it, which is a big plus because I'm a recovering opiate addict, and I don't need something that is going to make me feel like I need more."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I've been on Adderall for 5 years now, 15 mg twice daily. I started on 10 mg 2x daily, but the lower doses are associated with aggressive behaviors. Is it a flawless savior? Do I still struggle at times with ADHD? Absolutely! Medications, i.e., insulin, all have side effects. As a patient, you must ask yourself if the side effects outweigh the benefits. I refused treatment until age 32, which has been beneficial to my physical health. If you are at the mercy of ADHD, I strongly advise you to use some of the new apps with or without meds. Daily for the first 3 weeks is simply miraculous. Lastly, the world or your coworkers don't need to know about your diagnosis. ADHD is still stigmatized as a disorder that only stupid people have. My first RN job, I was viciously bullied once word got out about my ADHD by my fellow RNs! Now I make more than a Nurse Practitioner! #Strength"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "The Teva that I normally take is on back order. Tried Epic brand. Immediately started feeling dizzy and a headache started. Pulse is racing, resting pulse is 67, and my current resting is 94. Feel like I am having an out-of-body experience, also paranoid. When talking, I felt like I was talking really fast, but my daughter said I was actually talking slowly. Everyone keeps looking at me really weird. My eyes are blinking uncontrollably. I keep crying for no reason. I hope this medication wears off very, very soon. Dry mouth, which is normal, but this was almost immediate and severe. My arm occasionally twitches, and I seem to now be shivering. If I took this brand normally, I would never want to take amphetamine/dextroamphetamine again."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I was first diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6. My parents, at the time, decided against treating my illness with any form of medication. This was in the mid-90s during a time where ADHD and ADHD medications were very controversial. This led to self-medicating with prescription opioids throughout my teens and early twenties. It wasn't until several psychiatrists continued to stress the importance of treating my ADHD that I finally decided to try Adderall. And I can proudly say that it changed my life and saved me from a serious drug addiction. I'm now in my third year of school studying psychopharmacology. Thank you, Adderall."

"I’m a doctor with ADHD. I’ve been on the generics to cut costs during tough times, but I insist on the name brand Adderall. Not only is it smoother, it lasts longer and helps even more than the generics. It’s a shame that cost is a burden on necessary prescriptions and that generics are so much weaker and poorer quality. Generic Adderall needs to step it up, they have quality issues and their recipe is somehow flawed."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "This month I received an RX that was half Lannett, half Teva, due to the shortage. I tried not to mix the brands when dosing. Let me say the difference between these two manufacturers is shocking. Lannett, not only entirely ineffective, is actually just downright harmful. My chest hurts on it, crazy headaches, pounding heart, nausea, I am tired, and VERY little focus, which is only in the immediate beginning. Teva, however, works like it’s supposed to, and I don’t feel like I’m literally dying."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I floated through high school, got honors and graduated a year early. Did the same through a state college, even though I was accepted to Ivy Leagues with scholarships. I chose the easy route as I hated books and never read anything, despite being able to pass with a bachelor's in college and honors in high school just on auditory lecture learning. I was scared to challenge myself. Went to nursing school 10 years ago and failed out. Then I tried again on Adderall - Out of a class of 140, I'm #1. Everything I read I absorb. I can NOW focus. Everything's wired tight, and each day I am limitless on what I can learn. I feel music. I'm in touch with everything. I thank every day I'm on it."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I knew I struggled with ADD in college but refused to go on medication because of the stigma associated with Adderall. My father has ADD as well and refused medications. Now at 56, he is homeless, can't hold down a job, can't control his finances, health, or any responsibilities. When I graduated college and started my full-time job, I realized that I was heading towards the same path as my pops. I love my job and am very passionate about it, but following instructions or staying on task during an 8-hour workday was IMPOSSIBLE. 5mg of XR/day (2x on my v. busy days) saved my job and life! I feel like I finally have a clutch to support me with my disability now. It has improved every aspect of my life: social, financial, academic, etc."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I've been prescribed Adderall for years, and like everybody seems to say, there's definitely differences after the COVID shortage. I now use a private pharmacy, and they stock generally always good brands. I have definitely noticed differences with brands, but Walmart had one from Epic Pharma. They were a dark pink color, like Pepto-Bismol. They smoothed in cleaner, but ultimately it was a dragging effect more than uplifting like other brands. I've read that people are having problems with Linette. I don't think I've ever had that brand, I generally get Teva or Sandoz. One of the biggest problems I ultimately had with Adderall is it just doesn't kick in fast enough. I did try Ritalin, but it had no hyper focus like Adderall."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I've been taking 60mg of Adderall a day for 14 years now. It's a miracle! I don't think I would have made it through high school or college without it. I started when I was 14 and starting high school. I loathed getting up early, but shortly after taking my pills, I was awake and motivated to get ready and go about my day. It made boring classes seem more interesting. It gives you this focus and drive to be productive. I don't feel like myself without them. I'm cranky, unmotivated, eat and sleep a lot if I don't take it. Just be cautious with dosage. You do develop a tolerance to it over time. If your blood pressure goes way up and you feel jittery or shaky, you're taking too high of a mg. People should start with 10 or 20mg at first."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I stopped taking this medication 6 years ago because I built up a tolerance to it. But, it seriously was the best thing to ever happen to me. I've always had untreated ADHD, and when I finally received treatment, I flourished. Now, after 6 years, I am giving it a try again. So far, it's working great. The two things I don't like about Adderall are that I talk WAY too much, and share WAY too much information. In fact, I call up family members and talk to them to death. I had to write myself a note and tape it to the phone to not call or text anyone! And the second thing is the comedown, by the time the medication wears off, I am drained!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "To all the people saying this is rubbish and to use Adderall XR instead, this IS Adderall XR. It's literally made by the same company and contains the same ingredients. It's just a triple layer release whereas Adderall XR is double layer. If you do not feel the effects of Mydayis but do feel Adderall XR, it's because of your own negative expectations and placebo. That's all."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "Many doctors seem to be convinced that if you have an ADHD disorder, you simply can't get high on stimulant medications. This is NOT the case at all. First off, stimulant medications in general work well... very, very well. The first day I took Adderall, I was at school. About an hour after I took my dose of 20mg, I started to feel this awake, alert, energetic feeling inside. I liked it a lot. For the next 5 hours, all of my boring subjects became very interesting and I became a very social person. After about a month, those effects started to go away. I went to the doc and asked for a dose increase. Without any hesitation, he DOUBLED my dose to 40mg. I quickly found myself abusing Adderall. 1 year later and I'm now in rehab for drug abuse."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I was diagnosed with ADHD unexpectedly when I started going to a counseling center a couple months ago, after I got in trouble for bringing marijuana to school. I was also diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. I am 15 and this all came as one big unexpected shock to me. I felt useless and pathetic knowing this. I was put on medication for all of the mental disorders, including Adderall. I have always been a good student, but now I am actually able to focus in school and now, I'm excited about going to classes and doing homework. I actually feel like I'm worth something for once."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "Once getting on Adderall, I found it gave me just enough euphoria to put down everything from alcohol to opiates, while giving me the drive and ambition to seek an engineering degree. I must warn people Adderall is a stimulant. It's out of your body rather quickly (1-2 days), so addiction in the 'physical withdrawal' sense is not much, although years of taking it will keep you relying on it - that's a PROMISE. Depending on the dosage, you'll be severely lethargic and wind up sleeping for a few days. Beware of the day's end - you'll likely need something to sleep or relax, which can cause problems. Despite the caution, you'll be a morning person and love it. Just remember the word 'moderation,' and you'll be a new you!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I have suffered severe ADHD my entire life. I barely graduated high school. I was scared to take Adderall because I was scared I would lose my personality and be a shell of a person. That did not happen, I am the best version of myself I've ever been. Don't expect this to make everything in your life easy, you still need to put in effort. This is simply a tool to help you focus. This isn't a tool for motivation. School was still hard for me. For those with severe ADHD, this medication does not make you feel cracked out. If anything, I might be too calm. I haven't noticed anxiety either. This has been a game changer, just don't abuse it and be realistic. This isn't magic."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I've taken Vyvanse extended-release and Adderall extended-release. I didn't like the mood swings and irritability I suffered when they would wear off. My doctor has since put me on Adderall immediate release 30-milligram tablets twice a day. I've taken these tablets for 2 years now and love that I can focus and I am not having mood swings or irritability at all. I have experienced dry mouth and some jitters as well as trouble sleeping. I take Ambien to sleep, and it is no longer an issue. I have to take a vitamin supplement due to a huge weight loss, though. I was overweight when I started Adderall and now am at a healthy weight and maintaining that weight without issue."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid because I was our typical class clown that didn't do anything in class. My parents took me to the doctor and I was prescribed Adderall, and it did what it was supposed to, but I absolutely hated it because instead of playing at recess, I would just read a book, so I quit taking it. Fast forward to freshman year in college, I was completely overwhelmed with school, so I went back, got tested, and they put me on Vyvanse. It did the job, but I was so mad when I was on it, they switched me to Adderall. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, make you productive. I went from a 3.0 to a 3.8 from this medicine. But make sure you eat, if you are on it, your body will not tell you you're hungry."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "Adderall (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine) immediate release has greatly (95%) improved my symptoms of ADHD including concentration, focus, memory, attention span, retention of information, and to some extent my energy and grades. It's a very strong stimulant, so it does have temporary side effects. Most will go away in two to four weeks, like euphoria, anxiety, and teeth grinding, but the dry mouth and insomnia if taken late will not subside for months. However, it has helped me A LOT."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I have run the gauntlet of ADD meds, starting with Concerta then tried Vyvanse which worked well in the beginning, then my doctor switched to Adderall XR, then to IR, which works best for me. I take 20mg twice a day, it definitely helps with non-stop thinking, racing thoughts, and just simply getting motivated. I have been on the IR for about a year and the highs are finally outweighing the lows. 39 years old and can see light at the end of the tunnel."
