For High Blood Pressure "I was on metoprolol for several years, it kept my BP at 140/100 and sometimes lower, but then my body adjusted, and my BP was all over the charts. Three specialists later, I ended up taking four pills in the morning and two every evening, a total of six pills per day. A new doctor said those doses were too high. I was sent to another specialist five days ago, and he started me on Exforge. The second day, I was in the emergency room because I felt like I was having a heart attack, I could not stand up without my heart and pulse rate being out of control. On the third day, I ended up at my house doctor's practice to explain everything. I was told to take metoprolol with the new meds. Today, my BP dropped overnight to 94/60 from 149/101, I almost fainted. Side effects now: dizziness, chest cramps, no appetite, dry eyes."

For High Blood Pressure "My dad took it, and he had heart palpitations, swelling, reddening ears and face, and chest tightening. He stopped taking it and switched back to his old medicines."

For High Blood Pressure "I have been on hypertension meds for 30 years. First, I was on irbesartan, it didn't do a thing for me. Then metoprolol gave me chest pains to the point of wondering if I should dial 911. I've been on Exforge for 7 months, it worked like a charm, and not one single side effect."
