Amlodipine / telmisartan "I have been on this drug for 2 months. It has definitely brought my blood pressure down to where it should be. Unfortunately, it is cost-prohibitive because it is not covered in my plan D formulary. $5.00 per pill is hard to swallow."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "Started this about 2 months ago, have gained 5 kg, up all night going to the bathroom and swollen ankles. Will be asking the doctor for something different, has decreased blood pressure but not sure the side effects are worth it."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "Changed from Candesartan/HCTZ to this because of too frequent urination. Probably worse now at 4 or 5 times per night - really affecting sleep. On the plus side, I'm fine during the day, and my BP has dropped from 140/90 on the previous medication to 125/85. I'll live with it."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "I have been on Twynsta 40/10 and another for 6 months. It has brought my BP down to an average of 125/70 from 160/90. The problem is swollen ankles, legs; dizziness, lightheadedness at times. Generally, happy with Twynsta. But the cost is prohibitive. This med only costs about $1 in Kenya."

"I have prescribed several combinations of beta-blockers before this. Nothing worked better than this. That is, other combinations, like amlodipine/atenolol, had severe side effects on me. While my doctor prescribed this medicine, I am used to it. No side effects, but the best result in lowering BP. A bit expensive, but overall I am happy with it."

"Have been on Twynsta for 11 years. Generally, no side effects, and BP maintained within healthy range mostly, except upon excessive wine consumption and lack of exercise. I feel it has been a very effective BP control pill, though in reality, I could personally make a bigger lifestyle effort to reduce my BP levels."

"Amlodipine/telmisartan 40mg 5mg worked to lower my BP to 104/60 when I was averaging 150/90. The first dose gave me facial red spots and weird dreams that are permanent. After a few months, my gums became spongy and recessive. There were skin issues from scalp downward, and my hair thinned. I couldn't live with the skin and gum problems, so I went back to an ACE with a diuretic and stage 1 and 2 HTN."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "I've been on this medication 80/5 for more than a year now. It didn't give me side effects until I had COVID in the 6th month. I have on-and-off mild anxiety, joint weakness, paresthesia when it's cold, and body aches. I consulted my cardio, and he said it's long COVID symptoms."

"After starting the telmisartan/amlodipine combination pill (80 mg-5 mg), I've had excellent results with my blood pressure management. What I love about this medication is that it combines two effective blood pressure medications into a single daily pill, which makes it really convenient. I particularly appreciate telmisartan's added metabolic benefits, especially its positive effects on cholesterol and lipid profiles."

"It helps. I first took the EU-made generic one for 4 months. On the third month, it didn't work that much. On the 4th month, I switched to the branded one, German made. Till now, it works very well. Side effects mild, for me, just muscle soreness. To do some relaxing exercise would be okay with that."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "I am using Twynsta for more than 4 years now, and I feel relaxed after taking it. It does not push me to urinate like the other meds I have taken. Best medicine I have used for high blood pressure."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "I was taking hydrochlorothiazide, and my blood pressure was still 190/120. Doc added Twynsta to it, and now I'm literally a perfect score: 144/83. Hasn't even been a month yet!"

Amlodipine / telmisartan "Overall well tolerated. Just put on higher dose (80 mg/10 mg) for better blood pressure control. I will see if there are increased side effects. Am currently on Twynsta for 3 months."

Amlodipine / telmisartan "My BP was running high, 147/85 in the UK, and docs left me alone. It was that high from the age of 40. Then relocated at 57 to Asia. Around 60, my BP shot up to 156/90, and my cardio put me on Twynsta 40/5 and increased to 80/5. After 2 years, now on lower dose of 40/5. In addition, I had a racing heart and also took 5mg Nebilet, and it did the trick. But after 2 years, my BP dropped and now Nebilet 1.5. You can split the tablet by hand, and my BP is between 110/80 and 125/80 depending on the time of day. So 40/5 Twynsta and 1.5 Nebilet daily and monitor my BP regularly, that is the key, keep an eye on it. I've gained a bit of belly fat. My ED is controlled by Cialis."
