For Crohn's Disease "Used Humira for about a year and a half before I stopped. It had a good effect on the Crohn's disease, but the side effects were terrible. Severe headaches, muscle and joint pain, skin rash, and fatigue were some of the worst. Although it was very easy to take, just using an autoinjector every second week."

For Psoriasis "I was on Humira for 5 years. The last year on it, I was having hip and back pain so bad, along with a constant bad headache. Repeated visits to Drs to have them think I'm crazy and odd. I spent so much on medical bills: chiropractor, holistic chiropractor, regular Dr, sports Drs. I kept asking if it was the Humira injections causing this. I was told no way, that's not possible. Well, I decided to take the shot in the other hip, and lo and behold, I had pain full force. I stopped completely. Went to my dermatologist and explained what had been going on. She looked at me and said I have 3 other patients going through the exact same thing! Three months later, and I'm on Otezla; my back hurts again, daily headaches, and I feel so tired every day! I'm ready to give up!"

For Crohn's Disease, Active "It was awesome while it lasted, but it eventually caused pressure in my spinal fluid and gave me very severe headaches. I had to go off of Humira. I developed severe Crohn's symptoms and had to have a permanent ostomy. I will soon get a proctectomy also."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "Was on meloxicam and finally got talked into trying something for my ankylosing spondylitis due to my left eye having a few flare-up episodes per year. Humira injection was a non-event. Let it sit on the kitchen counter for 30 minutes before injection. No sting or pain. Actually didn't feel anything at all both times I injected. The day I took my first injection, I was working, chainsawing tree trunks and branches and had a brush fire. My back was flared up and in lots of pain. The Humira removed all the pain within 12 hours. 30 hours after injection, I started having headaches. I had a constant headache for 4 days. Then it went away. And as I approached my 2 weeks since the injection, my headaches returned. I think the last 3 days of the 14-day period, I had continuous headaches. Second injection, still no issues. 24 hours in, I had constant headaches. I think 11 days of the 14-day period of the second shot, I had continuous headaches. And this second injection didn't seem to help my A.S. back pain."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis: after years of unsuccessful treatments, Humira was 99-100% effective, completely clearing my skin and freeing me from arthritis. I was taken off Humira and put on Imraldi: skin still clear, but arthritis returned. As a drum teacher, this is alarming. Pain significant; decreased joint mobility already affects me. I had fatigue and headaches with Humira. But weighed against benefits, they're tolerable. Imraldi leaves me more fatigued; headaches more intense and persistent. I looked forward to Humira. I dread Imraldi. Big, clunky needles are flimsy, breaking when used, failing to deliver medicine. I swapped to Imraldi pens: first failed; second worked but left a bruise on my leg (fortnight to clear). Tonight's dose failed. I want back on Humira; quite literally a lifesaver. I'm contacting the manufacturers of Imraldi to let them know my experiences. Hopefully, they might improve the medicine and its delivery methods."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Been using it for 13 months now. It is easy to inject. It makes me feel a bit tired, and I get slight headaches, but psoriasis has mostly gone from my legs! There are still a few patches, but it's 80% better than it was."

For Crohn's Disease, Maintenance "Humira, for me, hasn't been that good. I still have flares here and there, mainly when it's close to my injection day, and I've had bad stomach pain, developed what I think is a belly button hernia, and have been severely constipated now almost all the time, only can get blood mucus out a lot of the time when I try to go. I'm always on laxatives and Linzess now. This all started 2 months after I started Humira, so I'm thinking the medication switch made me worse. And man, are the headaches bad. I had some issues here and there on my past medication, but now I'm worse off. I decided to change my doctor. I'm thinking a lot of this is his fault. Humira has lessened my symptoms, but I'm developing new ones, so that's not good."

For Hidradenitis Suppurativa "It not only gave me sweats, chills, diarrhea, and massive headaches, it also gave me tons of red and purple spots all over my body and a rare form of psoriasis. Yay. This drug sucked."

For Crohn's Disease, Maintenance "I was born premature and lost all of my large intestine to gangrene before I weighed 5 lbs. I have had severe diarrhea my whole life. I finally found out I have Crohn's in 2013. I have been on Humira since then. It does absolutely nothing for the symptoms, the only thing it did was take away my intestinal ulcers. I have constant cellulitis infections in my skin, even to the point of having abscesses which had to be surgically removed, urinary tract infections, major headaches, and so many more side effects it’s unreal. But apparently I’m in remission. I suffer greatly every day, if this is remission, I’m not sure I want to continue this path. Too many cancer and deadly risks with this medicine. Just for some crappy ulcers to be gone. To top it all off, I now have hidradenitis suppurativa, I can assure you it does nothing to help that. The suffering is real. Wishing you all the best and better luck and relief than me. God bless."
