Polythiazide / Reserpine Dosage
Applies to the following strengths: 2 mg-0.25 mg
Usual Adult Dose for Hypertension
Initial dose: 1 tablet orally once a day.
Maintenance dose: 1-2 tablets orally once a day.
Dose Adjustments
Dosage adjustments may occur as needed every 1-2 weeks. Less than 15% of patients with hypertension require daily reserpine doses > 0.5 mg.
Precautions
Thiazides should be used with caution in severe renal disease and/or impaired hepatic function.
