Usual Adult Dose for Scabies
Thoroughly massage drug product into the skin of the whole body from the chin to the toes; repeat 24 hours later.
Comments:
- Advise patients to take a cleansing bath 48 hours after the last application.
- A 60 g tube or bottle is sufficient for 2 applications.
Use: For eradication of scabies (Sarcoptes scabiei)
Usual Adult Dose for Pruritus
Massage drug product gently into affected areas until medication is completely absorbed; repeat as needed.
Use: For symptomatic treatment of pruritic skin

Administration Advice:
Scabies Treatment:
- The drug product should be applied after the patient takes a routine bath or shower and the skin is well-dried.
- When applying the drug product, special attention should be paid to skin folds and body sites that are particularly susceptible to mite infestation (e.g., interdigital spaces, wrists, axillae, genitalia).
- Consider using a toothbrush to apply drug product under fingernails after trimming the fingernails short; wrap toothbrush in paper and throw it away immediately after use.
- Clothing and bed linen should be changed after treatment completion; contaminated items may be cleaned in the hot cycle of the washing machine or dry-cleaned.
- Lotion: Shake well before using; preferable to cream for application to hairy surfaces.
