For Birth Control: I had a baby girl 6 months ago and I started this about 2 months ago and at first was doing great with it, but then after about 2 weeks of taking it have really noticed some not so great changes in me. My chin is constantly breaking out, so it did not help clear up the acne. I have really had some bad mood swings of just feeling really sad and my anxiety has been pretty bad. It has really messed with my sleeping patterns. I also gained about 16 lbs from the time I started taking this pill until now. I wear contacts and it really seems to dry my eyes out and make my vision a little blurry, which I haven't really had much trouble with before. I am seeing my doctor soon and we are planning on switching me to another birth control pill. |

For Birth Control: I took it for about 2 1/2 months. I became depressed and anxious. I was anxious before and Vienva made it worse. My body ached from it, too. The pain increasingly got worse until I finally stopped taking it. My chest also hurt. It seemed to have a negative affect on my breathing and circulation. I got a heavy period the day after I stopped taking it. It was very heavy and both my back and stomached ached. While taking it, I hardly had any cramps or PMS symptoms before periods. That was one plus side. Overall, I would not recommend. It is a poor quality birth control. If your body can take it, then great, but if you want to feel good and normal do not take it. For Birth Control: I first started taking Vienva back in May, as I was having really bad cramping with my periods and decided to go back on birth control. I will say, that it has helped a lot with cramping and same with acne. However, this month I have had SO much breakthrough bleeding that it’s been the most annoying thing ever. Today I woke up and essentially have my period, AGAIN. I am only 4 days into my new pack of pills too, and was supposed to have my period last week. Which I did, but it was so light like it has been since I started. But today I had to use a super tampon! I don’t know what’s going on, but hopefully it’s a fluke and it will be normal again next month. If not, I’ll be switching for sure. |

For Birth Control: I'm conflicted. I was on Trinessa, but about 8mos ago was switched to this one. The first few months went smoothly -- I've had much better skin than before and I haven't had significant weight changes, stomach problems or mood changes, and I remain blissfully Not Pregnant. However... the "spotting." I guess taking my ability to have sex outside of a shower is a kind of birth control. At first I thought this was just a matter of adjusting and it would be gone in a few months. Nope. This keeps happening, despite taking it religiously at 11am every day. Every month or two the bleeding starts in the 2nd week of my pack and rarely stops until the end of week 4. It's not always light spotting either. Today I'm a stuck pig, tomorrow I might only produce a few drops. I'm already an underweight person with a family history of anemia. I have no idea what losing this amount of blood regularly could be doing to my health and can't afford to go back to the doctor for advice.
